That means, hi! My name is Ama, what's your name? My 7 year old weighing only 5 pounds self found myself wondering the streets of Detroit! Crazy, right?! How I made it around the streets without getting hurt is truly a blessing. Anyway, my parents never came for me so thankfully Furever Tails Animal Rescue took me in.  Did you know the word "ama" means love or is also used to nickname a mom in spanish. In this case, my foster Mom named me Ama for both! Because she's pretty sure I've had pups before and because I'm such a love to be around! While being in my foster home, I've realized I get along well with cats, dogs, and children who are dog savvy. Specifically, children who understand I'm little and fragile. I am crate trained and confident once I learn your routine, I will catch onto potty breaks outside quickly. I'm cute, wittle itty bitty, loving, and a cuddle bug. What's not to love about me?! My ideal home would include a loving family. I'm extremely little, so tethering me is absolutely prohibited and unacceptable. I'm dainty, but I like spending time in a fenced yard or going for walks. I'm not training for a marathon, I really do means walks, lol. If I'm to have fur-siblings, I would prefer them around the same energy and size as me. I don't feel like being trampled on by a big dog. Again, I'm wittle. As a reminder about children, small dog savvy children is a must.  I'm ready to be pampered the rest of my life. If I sound like the Ama (see what I did there, wink wink) for you, please fill out the application to be considered to meet with me.  Hope to meet you soon,Ama Ama is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedNeutered ADOPTION FEE: $375 FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. Story
Olaf, the chocolate Chihuahua, is about 4.5 years old and looking for the perfect, quiet home with someone who is familiar with anxious and fearfully reactive dogs. He would do best in a home with no children, and not a lot of visitors. Cats are a no go for Olaf as are most other dogs. He would be ok with one small, submissive, low-key doggie friend as he likes to play occasionally, but he isn't very good at normal dog play. We lovingly think of Olaf's personality as a cat trapped in a dog's body. Olaf takes a daily anxiety medication to help him feel safe in his everyday environment. Olaf will need an understanding and patient person that will allow him space and decompression time when he gets overstimulated. Olaf is crate trained and for the most part potty trained. However, like any small dog he isn’t a fan of going outside in the rain or cold. He walks wonderfully on leash as long as no off leash dogs approach him, and he also loves to travel in the car. He does like affection on his own terms and will let you know when he no longer wants attention. Olaf's perfect home will need to be willing to give him time and show him patience as he is settling in to your lifestyle, they must also be willing to continue working on training to ensure he lives a happy and safe life. Most importantly Olaf will need a person that is NOT expecting a snuggly lap dog. While he will occasionally snuggle and sit on your lap, it will only happen when he chooses it. His perfect person would be looking for a tiny, quirky shadow that is content with his mere presence as companionship. Olaf is spay/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, heartworm tested and on prevention. Adoption fee for Olaf is $350. If you are interested in adopting Olaf, please fill out an adoption application http://www.furgetusnotrescue.org/application.html .

Story
**Please read his full bio**. Meet Dino!  He is a 2 year old big party in a small package. He is full of life and loves to zip around any space he is in and then eventually dive in to your lap for love. This is a dog with both playful and sassy energy.  He will alarm bark at noises and run around like he owns anything within his visual range. Dino falls madly in love with his person but do not expect him to welcome strangers...he just does not have time for that. His energy is needed for greater things like perimeter checks of his yard, demanding to be petted, and climbing all over you. Dino has the potential to convince you that he needs to be carried around while you feed him filet mignon.  DO NOT GIVE IN or you will have a tyrant on your hands and don't say we didn't warn you.  He is looking for a home with no young kids and one where it is understood that he may not be a social butterfly if company comes over.   If you think you have what it takes to be his special person, please fill out an application and his foster will be in touch!
