Hi there, I'm Ziggy! I'm a friendly guy, full of energy and love. I'm smart too, so I'll quickly learn your routines and rules. Playtime is my favorite, and I have a playful spirit that never tires. But don't worry, I also love a good cuddle. I am unfortunately not fond of other dogs. I came from Texas you see, and maybe didn't get a long with the other dogs on the street there? And no cats or small animals...I have a super high prey drive! So ya... I need to be the only animal in the home. If you have kids that's great, they should just be at the age where they aren't running around like crazy because sometimes I like to chase and nip at those cute little ankles!I really like to tell everyone who will listen all about my life and adventures, even if there is no one there to listen I will still be talking to myself. So not apartments for me!I know it sounds like a lot but I honestly am such a sweet and loving boy! Meet Opal Introducing Opal! Opal is an adorable Chiweenie (Chihuahua, Dachshund) mix who is approximately 2 to 3 years old and currently weighs 10 pounds. We rescued this cutie from the Weslaco shelter in south Texas near the border of Mexico. She was in a kennel with a couple other dogs and we believe Opal is the mama to some of the puppies. This little family came to the shelter as strays and we are so excited to have them here with us to help them find their loving, forever homes! Opal is a sweet and social dog. She is very playful and happy. She enjoys playing with her toys and is treat motivated. She is a very smart dog and learns new routines quickly. Opal is attentive and always ready for a fun adventure, She is a wonderful size and will make a sweet companion for a family who has lots of love to share with her. She gets along well with the other dogs in her play group and he would have a great time having a little canine companion to romp around and play with. She is crate trained for her meals and for sleeping, but would be perfectly content to cuddle up with her people at night, too. Opal is just a wonderful little gal and we can really see her doing well in just about any family environment. She is such fun dog who can’t wait for home and family of her own! Opal is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Allen Park, MI in June 15, 2024. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $400. Prince is a 3 year old male chihuahua that weighs 7 lbs. He came in from a hoarding situation where he and 25 others were living in a dirty dark basement. He has been fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. He was originally scarred to go outside, but will run and play in the grass now. He’s still a little scared, but loves to snuggle right beside you at night. He is being taken outside at regular intervals, but will use a pee pad if he needs to. This little boy needs someone who will treat him like the prince he is. We also transport using the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.
