Story
A family in northern Alabama moved off and left six or seven little Chihuahua spaniel mixes behind. Their kind neighbor has been feeding them for over a year but they could not afford to get anyone spayed or neutered so of course there are puppies. Two little Chihuahua sisters, one chocolate and one black had puppies the same day with the same little blonde long-haired Chihuahua Spaniel mix dad. Blossom and Reese belong to the chocolate mama and Bubbles belongs to the black mama. They are all very precious. Bubbles is the smallest at about 6 pounds, Blossom is about seven and Reece is about eight lbs. They were born the last of January so they are now 12 weeks old. They have had two sets of shots and worming and will get spayed/neutered next week and will be ready to go to their new homes. The moms are about 15 pounds and the dad is between 15 and 20 pounds so they will remain small. They have been around a gentle four-year-old girl that loved them and they were all very good with her. They are sweet and friendly and outgoing! If you would like to make cute little Reece your new forever family member, please contact OMLC 7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@ gmail.com and we will send our info and application. If you do not see our response, please check your spam folder.

Suzi is located in East, TN. But if you are seeing this on adopt-a-pet, transport fees are included in the adoption fee. Out of state adopters are welcomed. Transport is available to your area in the NorthEast or Great Lakes area. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road (Rescue Riders Transport)! Suzi is a sweet, older lady who is a small breed, chihuahua mix. She was discovered with her brother and sister in their owner's home who passed away while they were inside. They were inside the house with her for 2 days until they were discovered. Her two siblings have been adopted and now it is just Suzi looking for her new forever home. Suzi is dog friendly and is currently in a foster home with small and large dogs. She loves to snuggle and is just all around a sweet girl. She is also potty trained. Suzi turned 9 years old this past March 2024 and she currently lives with a cat at the foster home. Her foster mom says she is doing well with the cat and can be redirected to avoid interacting with the cat as needed. UTD on vaccines, on preventatives, and microchipped.

Story
Prince is a 3 year old male chihuahua that weighs 7 lbs. He came in from a hoarding situation where he and 25 others were living in a dirty dark basement. He has been fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. He was originally scarred to go outside, but will run and play in the grass now. He’s still a little scared, but loves to snuggle right beside you at night. He is being taken outside at regular intervals, but will use a pee pad if he needs to. This little boy needs someone who will treat him like the prince he is. We also transport using the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

East TN! Out of state welcome and if you are seeing this on Adopt a pet the transport fee is included in the adoption fee. Transport available to the north east or Great Lakes area. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. Welcome Miss Daisy to Pet Path! This little lady is soooo sweet and very confident. She is such a doll. Not sure of her mix but guessing Chihuahua and probably several other breeds. Her coat is medium length. She’s got the most gorgeous pair of knee high boots that nature can provide. That’s good news. She’s fashionable already and you don’t have to spend money on fashion statements. Her boots were made for walking but we are hoping someone will want to drive Miss Daisy home. Great with other dogs and older children (because of her size) she is tiny at about 10-12 lbs and about 1-1.5 years old. She was surrendered by her owners because they are older and could not keep up with her needs. She is just a young energetic little lady. Apply at petpath.org

Story
Olaf, the chocolate Chihuahua, is about 4.5 years old and looking for the perfect, quiet home with someone who is familiar with anxious and fearfully reactive dogs. He would do best in a home with no children, and not a lot of visitors. Cats are a no go for Olaf as are most other dogs. He would be ok with one small, submissive, low-key doggie friend as he likes to play occasionally, but he isn't very good at normal dog play. We lovingly think of Olaf's personality as a cat trapped in a dog's body. Olaf takes a daily anxiety medication to help him feel safe in his everyday environment. Olaf will need an understanding and patient person that will allow him space and decompression time when he gets overstimulated. Olaf is crate trained and for the most part potty trained. However, like any small dog he isn’t a fan of going outside in the rain or cold. He walks wonderfully on leash as long as no off leash dogs approach him, and he also loves to travel in the car. He does like affection on his own terms and will let you know when he no longer wants attention. Olaf's perfect home will need to be willing to give him time and show him patience as he is settling in to your lifestyle, they must also be willing to continue working on training to ensure he lives a happy and safe life. Most importantly Olaf will need a person that is NOT expecting a snuggly lap dog. While he will occasionally snuggle and sit on your lap, it will only happen when he chooses it. His perfect person would be looking for a tiny, quirky shadow that is content with his mere presence as companionship. Olaf is spay/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, heartworm tested and on prevention. Adoption fee for Olaf is $350. If you are interested in adopting Olaf, please fill out an adoption application http://www.furgetusnotrescue.org/application.html .

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi everyone!  My name is Memo (pronounced Mee-Moe). I was found wandering the cold streets of Detroit and I really hope to find a nice comfortable home soon! I was really scared at first, but after a couple of days in my foster home, I was able to open up and start enjoying life. I have long legs, so I am really good at running. I love walks and exploring in the yard. I need slow introductions to other dogs and may be picky. I have ignored cats that I've met at adoption events but may like to chase. I am very sweet and affectionate, and I like to give kisses. I am vaccinated and neutered. I do have an issue with my eyes that will likely be lifelong. My eyes don't make tears so I will likely require eye drops lifelong, and several times a day. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. May 9, 2024, 7:27 pm
