Story
Mango aka Roo Roo is a shy boy who would thrive in a home with patient, calm humans. He’s smart, energetic & extremely affectionate once he’s comfortable with you. He is crate & house trained & weighs approximately 20lbs. He responds well to gentle correction & comes when he’s called. He takes treat’s gently. With proper introductions, he would do well in a home with another friendly dog. He is particularly fond of small dogs. Roo enjoys chewing bones & playing with balls & toys, with or without you lol. He loves sleeping in the bed & cuddling on the couch. When he puts the turbo on, he can run, FAST! He would love a fenced yard to run around in and/or regular walks. Although Roo can be nervous with new things, his personality really shines through once he trusts you. It’s pretty clear that at some point, in his short life, someone was unkind to him. He’s really working hard on being more social & gaining confidence. If you’re interested in learning more about this handsome little dude email Smpeetz75@gmail.com

Story
Peaches and Mango were both found together and surrendered to our rescue when the lady who first found them couldn't keep them. They stick together like glue wherever you find one you find the other. Both dogs are very sweet and cuddly. They love to run and play outside and in the house. Peaches is smaller and they both are very friendly. If you are considering adopting two sweet and loving and easy going pets these two might be perfect for you! Approximate DOB 6-29-23 UPDATE: Peaches and Mango have been separated and she can be adopted as long as there is another small dog in the home for her to hang out with. Peaches is very lovable and loves human attention. She loves to get her belly scratched and to be by your side and will be the perfect companion. She is a real sweetie! Peaches weighs about 13 pounds.

Story
Meet Mew – A Quirky Little Soul With a Big Heart Mew isn’t the kind of dog who rushes into love. She takes her time, learns your rhythms, and slowly lets you in. But once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll discover one of the most loyal, affectionate companions you could ever hope for. This young Chi/Terrier/Dachshund mix may be small in size, but her personality is unmistakably one of a kind. She’s got a soft spot for stuffy toys and Benebones, and nothing makes her happier than a slow, sniff-filled walk where she can take in the world on her terms. These “sniffaris” aren’t just fun—they’ve helped her build confidence and support her ongoing potty training, which is already coming along beautifully. Mew is pee-pad trained, crate trained, and making steady progress with housetraining. She thrives on structure and routine, and she’s already made huge strides with her reactivity thanks to some supportive tools and a daily Fluoxetine regimen. With time and gentle consistency, she’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. Mew's ideal home is a quiet one—no young children, no other pets, and limited visitors. But in the right environment, she truly blossoms. She’ll happily snuggle in your lap for hours, sleep soundly in her crate, and follow you from room to room just to feel close. When guests do visit, she’ll do best being crated at first, slowly warming up with your guidance. What Mew needs most is someone kind. Someone who doesn’t mind moving at her pace, who understands that love from a shy dog is something earned—and all the more special because of it. She’s not looking for perfection. Just patience, and a soft place to land. Are you the one she’s been waiting for? Apply to foster or adopt Mew and show her what real love feels like. Adoption is $350, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home. Story
Meet Chico Benjamin: A Little Dog with a Big Personality Are you looking for a pint-sized bundle of joy who’s equal parts playful and affectionate? Chico Benjamin might just be the perfect addition to your family. This high-energy, goofy little guy loves sitting on laps just as much as he loves running around outdoors, making him the ideal mix of snuggle buddy and adventure partner. Chico’s journey began when he was found wandering near the shelter. After his owner made the difficult decision to surrender him, Chico has been thriving in foster care, blossoming into a lovable, energetic companion who’s now ready to find his forever home. This charming pup has a lot to offer. He absolutely adores playing with his much larger foster brother—a 70-pound dog—proving that size doesn’t intimidate him one bit. Chico is a big fan of benebones and ball-chasing sessions, and he’ll happily spend his time racing around the yard (getting him back inside might require a little coaxing). When he’s not on the move, he’s likely standing in front of a heat vent, basking in its warm breeze, or showing off his adorable habit of dancing on his hind legs for treats or attention. Chico is as well-mannered as he is playful. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, both big and small, and is fully potty trained as long as he’s kept on a schedule. He’s great on a leash, making him the perfect partner for walks or outdoor adventures, and he’s even trustworthy enough to be left out when you’re not home. Oh, and pillows? Chico has a particular fondness for them—you’ll often find him cozied up, claiming one as his own. If you’re ready to welcome a quirky, loving, pillow-obsessed pup into your home, Chico Benjamin is waiting to meet you. Apply to adopt him today and discover just how much joy this little guy can bring into your life. Adoption is $350, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health.
