Dylan is a sweet Chihuahua Maltese mix. He is three years old. He does not have the Chihuahua personality. Dylan does not bond to only one member of the family, he loves the whole family equally. He loves short walks, he needs to be walked on a harness. He loves playing in the backyard. He is housebroken, crate trained, leash trained current on his vaccinations, had a dental 4 months ago, is on flea and tick and heart worm medication. Dylan is an all around happy little boy. Dylan is 9 lbs and loves all dog food, he’s not a picker eater. Dylan is my heart, I love him tremendously! I have to re home him because I am terminally ill. I have to go into hospice. All I am looking for is a safe, happy, loving home for my Dylan. He will be the family’s best friend and sidekick! He would be very happy if there was another dog in the home. He’s not good around cats. He wants to play with them like they are dogs. He’s nervous around small children, he would do well with children 8 or older.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Smithers, and his sister Jenny, are adorable Shiba Chi puppies.  They are happy, bouncy pups with personalities to keep you entertained.  Both are doing great with potty training and crate training.  Both have been residing with cats, big dogs and small dogs, even goats and chickens, have done well with all of the animals. mom was a Chi and Dad was a Shiba Inu / Chi mix. They are waiting for their next adventure with the adoptive family...could that be yours. Jenny and Smithers had their first vet visit and received appropriate vaccines and microchips.   Happy Days Dog & Cat Rescue requires a Spay/Neuter Contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization at the time of adoption. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. HDDCR holds a deposit [$50 for dogs, $25 for cats] in addition to the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog or cat was spayed/neutered by the date stipulated on the Spay/Neuter Contract. The deposit will be refunded to the adopter if spay/neuter was done according to the Spay/Neuter Contract signed by the adopter. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee, paid at the time of adoption.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tuesday!  This little cutie is a 17-pound Chihuahua mix.  She is a spunky little pup that  loves to play fetch, bones that are bigger than she is, and kids; although she is skittish initially when meeting new people. She likes toys, taking naps, long walks, and sleeping in your bed! She is crate trained but only when left alone at home. She does not like to be left alone for long periods of time so would not be a good fit for someone who works all day. It is reported she does not like dog parks because it takes her a long time to warm up to other dogs. Tuesday may do best as an only dog, or possibly with another dog her size after slow and appropriate introductions. Tuesday is UTD on vaccines and already spayed.  She will be microchipped before going to her adoptive home. If you are looking for a little cuddle-bug, Tuesday may just be the one for you!     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption.
