Story
LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY: Punky is an animal shelter reject. FOCCAS was asked to take her into care because she was too nervous for the shelter. She's scared and completely uncertain of how love works. She knows she loves her two dozen foster homies and the one kitty cat roommate. Punky really needs an environment where she can lap surf with somebody or somebodies who spend a lot of time in chill mode. She's a chi with a huge heart and a lot of uncertainty. She needs someone who can be her human to crawl up on your shoulder and protect you from being unloved by a beautiful little best friend.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY. Punky's adoption fee is $275.Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to your browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jenny and her brother, Smithers, are adorable Shiba Chi puppies.  They are happy, bouncy pups with personalities to keep you entertained.  Both are doing great with potty training and crate training.  Both have been residing with cats, big dogs and small dogs, even goats and chickens, have done well with all of the animals.  Mom was a Chi and Dad was a Shiba Inu / Chi mix. They are waiting for their next adventure with the adoptive family...could that be yours. Jenny and Smithers had their first vet visit and received appropriate vaccines and microchips.   Happy Days Dog & Cat Rescue requires a Spay/Neuter Contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization at the time of adoption. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. HDDCR holds a deposit [$50 for dogs, $25 for cats] in addition to the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog or cat was spayed/neutered by the date stipulated on the Spay/Neuter Contract. The deposit will be refunded to the adopter if spay/neuter was done according to the Spay/Neuter Contract signed by the adopter. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee, paid at the time of adoption.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tuesday!  This little cutie-pie is a 17-pound Chihuahua mix.  Tuesday is UTD on vaccines and already spayed.  She will be microchipped before going to her adoptive home. She is a spunky little pup that  loves to play fetch, bones that are bigger than she is, and kids; although she is skittish initially when meeting new people. She likes toys, taking naps, long walks, and sleeping in your bed! She is crate trained but only when left alone at home. She does not care to be left for long periods of time so would not be a good fit for someone who works all day. It is reported she does not like dog parks because it takes her a long time to warm up to other dogs. Tuesday may do best as an only dog, or possibly with another dog her size after slow and appropriate introductions. If you are looking for a little cuddle-bug, Tuesday may just be the one for you!     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi, I’m Gabby! I’m a 14-year-old sweetheart who found myself back in foster care through no fault of my own. These days I’m embracing my golden girl era and living life at a slower, cozier pace. Most of my day is spent perfecting the art of napping and keeping a close eye on the treat supply. Toys? Not really my thing. I’d much rather find the comfiest spot in the house and snooze the afternoon away. I’m not a big cuddler, but I will happily waddle over for some gentle scratches and a little attention. As a distinguished older lady, I do have a few senior quirks. I have arthritis, Cushing’s, and my hearing isn’t what it used to be. If you need to get my attention, just give me a friendly wave in front of my face and I’ll be right with you. Because of my age, I do occasionally have accidents in the house, but I am mostly potty pad trained and do well when I have them available. I’ll just need a patient and understanding home that knows older pups sometimes need a little extra grace. All I’m really looking for is a soft place to nap, some tasty treats, and a kind human who appreciates the quiet charm of a sweet senior girl like me.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. April 2, 2026, 1:25 pm

Story
Reese was an owner surrender and a very adorable sweet fellow. He loves attention from his humans and is getting along with the dogs he is currently being fostered with. Reese was a little needy at first but he is getting better and more confidant every day. Chihuahua's are loyal and affectionate dogs who thrive with owners who can provide lots of love and attention. They can be wary of strangers and are best suited for homes with older, careful children due to their tiny size. Reese is 5 years old and he weighs about 8 pounds. He should be placed with people familiar with Chihuahua's.
