New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 100-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.-Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

She was very underweight when she came to rescue but is now thriving.  Delilah is blind. She has not been blind for very long and is learning how to navigate. She walks tentatively especially in the house. She seems more confident outside. She probably she’s shadows and light which makes it easier outside. She can find her way back into the house. Inside, she is very calm and loves to be near you and will snuggle up and sleep next to you.  She is nervous when you pick her up but is sweet and lovable, never aggressive when picked up. She is working on housebreaking.  She goes outside and uses piddle pads but has occasional accidents.
