Dot’s journey is one of quiet resilience, hope, and a heart that longs for love.
This stunning two year old chihuahua mix, with her tan-and-white coat and signature apple-shaped head, carries an intensity in her soulful eyes—a gaze that speaks of past love, loss, and the quiet dream of finding a family once again.
She may start off shy, uncertain of the world around her, but give her a little time, a few soft treats, and gentle reassurance, and Dot will bloom into the sweetest companion you could ever hope for- adoring attention and affection, bursting with love and excitement.
Her smile, her large, expressive ears, and her soft presence will remind you that trust is something built, not given—and once she trusts you, it’s forever.
Dot has clearly known love before. She knows "sit," and in the quiet moments, it’s easy to imagine she once had a home. But now, she waits—flipping her bed to curl up beneath it, finding comfort where she can, dreaming of the day she won’t have to wait any longer.
She is undergoing heartworm treatment, and while we’ll cover all medical costs, what she truly needs is a calm, understanding home where she can heal, decompress, and know she is safe.
Because of her anxious, flighty nature and her recovery process, she is seeking a home without young children—one where she can relax, rebuild her confidence, and finally experience the love she deserves.
It does not take her long to open up and show off her amazing and unique personality and we can't wait for her people to find her and fall madly in love with her just as we have.
Dot is around 2 years old, spayed, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, kept on prevention here with us, and undergoing heartworm treatment (which is why her back is shaved in her pictures).

Our adoption fees include the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, heartworm/tick disease testing and fecal check. All adoption fees can be found on our groups' Petfinder page.
The first step to our adoption process is to please fill out and adoptions application, it can be found on our website www.serenityanimalhospital.net, under the "Adopt From Us" Tab. Please email the application to adoptions@serenityanimalhospital.net or drop it off in person during our business hours.
Any questions regarding our adoptable dogs can be emailed along with your application. Please allow us a few days to contact you about your application as we do get many in on a daily basis. We will contact you as soon as possible.
