This sweetie is being fostered in East TN Athebs area. Out of state welcome. The adoption fee listed here on Adopt a pet includes the cost of transport. We use Rescue Riders for our pet transport needs because they are the best. Meet Pete! This little guy is super sweet once he gets to know you. He takes a little bit to warm up to new people. He eight years young. He’s active and spunky and also loving and sweet. He is good with most other dogs. No small children for this guy. He needs his space to be respected and most young children don’t understand this. Unsure about cats. His vet records show him as a French bulldog mix. He could be a chihuahua and frenchie mix. He is 16 lbs. he will need a family that understands the breed mix and how to show rules and boundaries without rules and boundaries he will take charge and be your leader and that is not what you want he needs to know you are his leader and you will take care of him. Story
Mango aka Roo Roo is a shy boy who would thrive in a home with patient, calm humans. He’s smart, energetic & extremely affectionate once he’s comfortable with you. He is crate & house trained & weighs approximately 20lbs. He responds well to gentle correction & comes when he’s called. He takes treat’s gently. With proper introductions, he would do well in a home with another friendly dog. He is particularly fond of small dogs. Roo enjoys chewing bones & playing with balls & toys, with or without you lol. He loves sleeping in the bed & cuddling on the couch. When he puts the turbo on, he can run, FAST! He would love a fenced yard to run around in and/or regular walks. Although Roo can be nervous with new things, his personality really shines through once he trusts you. It’s pretty clear that at some point, in his short life, someone was unkind to him. He’s really working hard on being more social & gaining confidence. If you’re interested in learning more about this handsome little dude email Smpeetz75@gmail.com

Story
Peaches and Mango were both found together and surrendered to our rescue when the lady who first found them couldn't keep them. They stick together like glue wherever you find one you find the other. Both dogs are very sweet and cuddly. They love to run and play outside and in the house. Peaches is smaller and they both are very friendly. If you are considering adopting two sweet and loving and easy going pets these two might be perfect for you! Approximate DOB 6-29-23 UPDATE: Peaches and Mango have been separated and she can be adopted as long as there is another small dog in the home for her to hang out with. Peaches is very lovable and loves human attention. She loves to get her belly scratched and to be by your side and will be the perfect companion. She is a real sweetie! Peaches weighs about 13 pounds.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi everyone!  My name is Memo (pronounced Mee-Moe). I was found wandering the cold streets of Detroit and I really hope to find a nice comfortable home soon! I was really scared at first, but after a couple of days in my foster home, I was able to open up and start enjoying life. I have long legs, so I am really good at running. I love walks and exploring in the yard. I need slow introductions to other dogs and may be picky. I have ignored cats that I've met at adoption events but may like to chase. I am very sweet and affectionate, and I like to give kisses. I am vaccinated and neutered. I do have an issue with my eyes that will likely be lifelong. My eyes don't make tears so I will likely require eye drops lifelong, and several times a day. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. June 16, 2025, 4:19 pm

Story
Age: 2 Years Weight: 16lbs Good with dogs? Yes Good with cats? Unknown Good with kids? Older Energy Level: Moderate-High Adoption Fee: $320.00 Any other info: Meet Dot! Dot’s journey is one of quiet resilience, hope, and a heart that longs for love. This stunning two year old chihuahua mix, with her tan-and-white coat and signature apple-shaped head, carries an intensity in her soulful eyes—a gaze that speaks of past love, loss, and the quiet dream of finding a family once again. She may start off shy, uncertain of the world around her, but give her a little time, a few soft treats, and gentle reassurance, and Dot will bloom into the sweetest companion you could ever hope for- adoring attention and affection, bursting with love and excitement. Her smile, her large, expressive ears, and her soft presence will remind you that trust is something built, not given—and once she trusts you, it’s forever. Dot has clearly known love before. She knows "sit," and in the quiet moments, it’s easy to imagine she once had a home. But now, she waits—flipping her bed to curl up beneath it, finding comfort where she can, dreaming of the day she won’t have to wait any longer. She is undergoing heartworm treatment, and while we’ll cover all medical costs, what she truly needs is a calm, understanding home where she can heal, decompress, and know she is safe. Because of her anxious, flighty nature and her recovery process, she is seeking a home without young children—one where she can relax, rebuild her confidence, and finally experience the love she deserves. It does not take her long to open up and show off her amazing and unique personality and we can't wait for her people to find her and fall madly in love with her just as we have. Dot is around 2 years old, spayed, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, kept on prevention here with us, and undergoing heartworm treatment (which is why her back is shaved in her pictures). Dot is waiting. She’s waiting for the person who sees her not just for her past but for the beautiful future ahead. Could that person be you? If you have the best home for this stunning sweet girl, please apply through the link below. https://form.jotform.com/201977724595065 Once your application is processed and approved, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule an in person meet and greet with Dot. ------------------------------------------------ Our adoption fees include the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, heartworm/tick disease testing and fecal check.
