Kirby is a 11-year-old Rough Collie whose sweetness and easygoing nature shine through in everything she does. She’s fully house trained, rarely vocal, and content with a simple routine that includes short, regular walks and plenty of couch time. Kirby prefers to stay near her adults, soaking up gentle affection and companionship rather than high-energy play. She’s learning to loosen up and play a bit from her foster siblings, but her favorite role is quiet, loyal shadow. Due to significant muscle loss in her rear legs, Kirby has difficulty with stairs and getting up, so she needs a home that can accommodate her mobility challenges. She’s doing better with supportive care and supplements, but still benefits from a safe, stable environment where she can move at her own pace. A fenced yard is always desirable but she doesn’t require it as long as she gets age-appropriate exercise. Adoption Donation: $500 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. Bonnie is a beautiful collie mix who is about 2 years old. She had 7 puppies at our shelter and is now looking for her own perfect home! She is a sweetheart, who loves to carefully jump up on you for hugs and attention. She is incredibly smart and agile and would love a home to keep her active and enriched! She does take longer to get used to some men so a slow and patient home is needed. She is dog friendly and kid friendly. Once she bonds to people she does have the tendency to resource guard them so we are looking for a home with previous experience dealing with any potential guarding issues. Due to resource guarding we are marking her for households with children over 12 yrs of age. She seems to enjoy other dogs at the shelter, but due to her small animal prey drive, will need a home without cats or small pets.
