Story
Meet Dai Mar – The Gentle Gentleman with a Playful Spark! Age: 12 years (13 in August) | Breed: Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix Weight:    66 lbs | Adoption Fee: $375 | Neutered: Yes Don’t let his age fool you— Dai Mar may be a senior in years, but he still has the heart (and play drive!) of a much younger pup. This sweet, easygoing guy loves squeaky toys, a good game of tug-of-war, and—most of all—being near his people. He’s the kind of companion who’ll be by your side through thick and thin, offering loyalty, love, and the occasional goofy grin. Dai Mar is friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs, cats, and respectful kiddos. He’s potty trained with a regular routine but does have an occasional accident, hasn’t needed to be crated, preferring to spend his time near the people he loves. While he's mostly agile, he occasionally needs a little help going up and down steps—but he’s still active and enjoys moving around. He is a vocal guy when it comes to unexpected noises, so a quiet, calm home would suit him best. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted friend with a golden heart and a playful streak, Dai Mar might be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to bring joy, love, and companionship into a home that will treasure him as much as he’ll treasure you. Ready to meet Dai Mar? Apply today and give this sweet senior the cozy, love-filled home he deserves. A s a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!     October 11, 2025, 9:59 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxMeet Finn Finn is an 8-year-old, 50-lb mellow guy who loves napping, short walks, and hanging out near his people. He enjoys toys (especially if treats are involved!), can be cuddly, and also appreciates his personal space. Finn is anxious around loud noises and reactive when he sees other dogs, so he’s looking for a quiet home where he can be the only pet. He hasn’t lived with cats but has ignored chickens. He greets people calmly outside the home and politely “announces” visitors with a bark. He does best with a predictable routine and would thrive in a home where someone is around more often—his current home’s 12-hour shifts are just too hard on him. Respectful children are fine. Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and eats a prescription urinary diet. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion, Finn is ready to meet you.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Goliath is one of the most striking dogs we’ve ever met in person. His shiny coat, unique coloring, and those two mesmerizing blue eyes make him an absolute showstopper—and he gets nonstop compliments wherever he goes. But Goliath isn’t just a pretty face; he genuinely  lives  to be a good boy, please his humans, and do the right thing. He’s incredibly intelligent, highly tuned into people’s emotions and intentions, and picks up on routines and training remarkably quickly. With his smarts come both advantages and challenges: he is extremely trainable and eager to please, but he can also be a bit high-strung compared to other dogs his age. He has no naughty bone in his body, but without proper outlets for his energy and brainpower, he can become restless, showing behaviors like excessive licking, scratching, or whining. With consistent exercise, outdoor time, and a structured routine with clear boundaries, Goliath absolutely thrives. He doesn’t require any special medications or kenneling, and his previous nervous behaviors are completely resolved. That said, he does best in a home that offers both high levels of physical activity and mental engagement, along with consistent leadership and structure to help him feel calm and secure during downtime. Goliath is incredibly well-rounded and trustworthy. He does beautifully with people, other animals, and new situations. He kennels perfectly, rides well in the car, can be left home alone for extended periods, walks politely on leash (especially with a gentle leader), and is 100% potty trained. He knows basic commands—come, sit, down, stay—and listens reliably. Goliath is from an Owner Surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate   to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 29, 2025, 10:22 am
