Meet Humphrey a.k.a. “Dave”
Humphrey, affectionately known as Dave, is looking for his tribe — and by tribe, we mean a family who will appreciate just how lovable, social, and well-rounded this boy truly is. Dave gets along wonderfully with dogs, people, and kids, making him an easy fit for almost any home.
He may bark at a guy or two when first meeting them, just to let everyone know he’s keeping watch, but give him a treat and a little time and he’ll quickly become your loyal sidekick. Underneath his watchful nature is a sweet, affectionate dog who simply wants to be part of the family.
Humphrey was rescued from a South Dakota reservation and had been living with a family who clearly loved and cared for him deeply until they were no longer able to keep him. It’s easy to see this boy has known love and structure — he is house trained and crate trained to perfection. Just say “kennel up” and he happily trots right into his crate.
This smart boy already knows an impressive list of commands including sit, shake, high five, stay, spin, kiss, boop on the nose, and even jumping through a hoop.
Humphrey loves being involved in whatever his people are doing. Whether it’s running errands, relaxing at a brewery, grabbing a morning coffee, or heading out on an adventure, he is ready to go. His long legs love a good stretch, but he’s just as happy curling up beside you for a quiet movie night at home.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
