Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This boy was dumped with siblings and is a sweetheart! He is very friendly and gets along with other dogs. He has some housetraining and also knows how to use a dog door. He has done okay on a leash and in a crate. He will need daily exercise but is not overly energetic. He is ready to get a forever home.

Story
Hi, I’m Merlin! I’m a young, goofy, lovable guy with one very important mission in life: be near my people at all times. If you’re on the couch, I’m on the couch. If you’re walking to another room, I’m right behind you. If you sit down, I may be in your lap before you even realize what happened. And if I’m not in your lap, I’ll happily park myself at your feet so I can keep tabs on you. Sometimes I’ll even give your toes a little lick just to remind you I’m still here. 😂 When I first arrived, I had a LOT of energy and apparently believed pacing around the house nonstop was a perfectly reasonable hobby. Thankfully, I’ve learned that resting is also an option! I still love my walks and getting my zoomies out, but when everyone settles down, I can settle down too. I especially enjoy a good couch-and-lap session because, honestly, I am just a baby who needs snuggles. Speaking of playing, I’ve learned FETCH! I’ll bring the ball back, although I’m still working on the whole “give it back” portion of the game. I also love tug-of-war and wrestling around on the floor. I may give you some gentle puppy-style nibbling during our wrestling matches, but I know not to bite too hard. I’m also a serious chewer, so durable toys and chew bones are very important to me. Plastic toys? Let’s just say I believe they are snacks. 😬 I’m also becoming quite the little gentleman! I’ve learned sit, down, and shake, and I have completely transformed my mealtime manners. I used to act like I hadn’t eaten in approximately 47 years and would launch myself at the food bowl. Now I go to the kitchen rug, sit, and wait. When my food is ready, I’ll even shake your hand before I eat. And yes, I do it EVERY TIME. My foster mom thinks it’s adorable, and frankly, I agree. 😎 My potty training is going really well, too! I’ve had only one accident in the past couple of weeks, and I’ve figured out that pacing by the door is a pretty good way to tell my people I need to go outside. I keep my kennel clean, too. I’m getting really good at kennel time and will even go in there sometimes just to hang out with the door open. I understand that bedtime means bedtime, and I sleep in my kennel at night like a good boy. Now, I do have a few things I’m still working on. New people make me a little nervous because, honestly, EVERYTHING used to seem new to me. I want to say hello, but then I’m not totally sure about it, so I might get a little jumpy. I’m improving every day and learning that people are pretty great. I’m also not a fan of the car. I’m slowly realizing they aren’t terrifying and will eventually watch out the window, but getting me into one still requires some convincing. Loud things like lawnmowers and leaf blowers can also make me nervous. I don’t try to run away—instead, I look to my people for reassurance or head for the door because surely someone can let me back inside. 😂 The vacuum is another work in progress, but I’m getting there! And then there’s my greatest talent: being spectacularly clumsy. I have been known to sit down and somehow fall over, run into things, get tangled in my leash, and even take an unfortunate tumble down the stairs. I’m also a sock thief. I sneak off with socks as though nobody can possibly see me doing it. Spoiler alert: they can. I’m affectionate, playful, funny, and very much still learning how to be the best version of myself. But underneath all my goofy puppy antics is a boy who just wants to love someone and be loved right back. I’ll follow you around, keep you company, snuggle you on the couch, and make you laugh every single day. I’m still young, so I’ll need someone who understands that I’m a work in progress—but if you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a huge heart, I might just be your guy. ❤️🐾 *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

Story
We’ve had Tucker since he was 6 months old. He’ll be 8 years old in August. We got him from a breeder (we still have his papers), he was the last of his liter. We have several young children and he’s always done very well with them. He’s great around cats and other dogs. As we’ve had significant life changes, we aren’t able to provide the same level of care that we used to. We’d love to find him a home where his new owners are able to spend more time playing with him and taking him on walks. He’s very friendly and loves to snuggle. He hates being brushed and bathed, but will do anything for peanut butter.

Story
I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say YES to fostering this animal! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by The Wilbur Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $250.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, my name is Ringo, and I am from Tennessee! Ringo is a special dog. He’s a male Australian Cattle Dog/Red Speckled Heeler, and true to his breed. Instead of trying to move cattle along, another dog will do! In play he will nip at my dog’s heels, which inspires her to more play and soon both dogs are rolling around, then up and racing around the obstacle course in my back yard! Ringo plays hard, but gently. He loves to jump up after squirrels and birds in the trees and bushes, so he’ll need a 5 foot or higher fence. Then with a single call “come” he responds and comes on command. He’s smart, easy to please, and will look to his person for assurance, for he experiences separation anxiety. He has progressed so much, but he will need a person with patience and is willing to help him feel less anxious. Also, a resident dog about his size (30-40 lbs) will help him become less dependent on his person. Ringo is very well behaved in the house and on walks. With training he’s learning to not react to other dogs and their people. He is very gentle with my cat and has warmed up to my 11 year old granddaughter. On a short leash he has not reacted nervously to small children. He will bark loudly at certain outside noises or when in the car and people walk by but is learning to stop barking when commanded to stop. Each day he seems to relax more as he experiences new activities and sights. He enjoys his walks and won’t wander far from your side, often checking to see you following. Training assistance has been very beneficial to Ringo. At this time a woman would be the best fit for Ringo, with slow introductions to men/boys he does not know. He definitely has a gentleness about him, and would love a forever home.

Story
Hi! My name is Miso, and I am from Arkansas! From the foster: Miso is a literal Teddy Bear, SO sweet and snuggly. His favorite thing is being held and you can usually find him cuddled up next to his people or being a bed bug with my 9 year old son! He’s working on gaining strength and is getting more and more energy each day and we’re seeing glimpses of his darling puppy personality come out. He just needs a loving, calm home to show him how good life can be. He’s shy, hasn’t barked yet but makes the cutest pterodactyl call when we leave the room, it’s hilarious. He already has us all wrapped around his sweet little paw! He working hard on his potty training and doing so well!

Story
About Me Jasmin is a smart, playful 7-month-old Kelpie/Shepherd mix who packs a lot of personality into a perfectly medium-sized package! At about 35 pounds, she’s already close to her expected adult size — a great option for someone who loves the intelligence and personality of shepherd-type dogs but doesn’t necessarily want a large dog. This girl is bright, curious, and loves being part of whatever you’re doing. She has excellent leash manners and would happily join you for a walk, hop in the car for an adventure, or spend some time investigating the neighborhood wildlife. Squirrels and frogs are especially fascinating, according to Jasmin. And for a 7-month-old puppy, she already has some pretty impressive life skills! Jasmin is house trained, fully crate trained, knows sit, and sleeps quietly through the night. When bedtime rolls around, she happily heads into her crate and settles in until morning. She also loves playing ball and is currently working on that minor technicality called “bringing it back.” Jasmin is still a puppy, and sometimes her enthusiasm gets the better of her. When she’s excited, she can get jumpy and use her mouth during play, so her foster is helping her practice calmer greetings and good puppy manners. She’s a quick learner and making great progress, but because of that youthful exuberance, a home without small children will be the best fit for her right now. She’d love an adopter who will keep that smart brain busy with walks, play, training, and new experiences. A confident adult dog who enjoys playing could be a wonderful buddy and role model for her, too. Jasmin has so much going for her: she’s smart, affectionate, fun, already has the basics down, and is at a fantastic age to continue learning what life with her forever family is all about. If you’re looking for a medium-sized adventure buddy who can play hard, learn quickly, and then tuck herself into bed for the night, Jasmin might just be your girl. ---------- WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means all of our pets are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota.  Foster Home Pets: Meet & greets are scheduled after an approved adoption application Cats at The PURRfect Match Adoption Center (Andover, MN): Some cats may be available to meet during open hours Please visit our website for the most accurate information on this pet and next steps.
