Story
Meet Pancake, a playful and affectionate collie-beagle mix all the way from Texas! At around 1 year old, this fun-loving girl is full of personality, curiosity, and youthful energy. She’s always ready for her next adventure and would thrive in an active home that enjoys hiking, camping, exploring, or simply spending lots of time outdoors. Pancake absolutely loves being outside—running, sniffing, exploring, and watching the world go by from the front steps are some of her favorite things. She’s a silly, happy girl who brings enthusiasm to everything she does and would make a wonderful companion for an active family or someone looking for an adventure buddy. She’s settling nicely into home life, sleeps quietly in her kennel overnight, and is learning the routines of being a well-loved family dog. Like many young adults, Pancake still has plenty of energy and will benefit from continued training, structure, and patience as she works on her manners. Right now, her excitement can come out in enthusiastic jumping, but she’s smart, eager to learn, and responds well to guidance. Pancake is affectionate, loyal, and loves being part of the action. Her ideal forever family will embrace her playful spirit while helping her continue to build confidence and skills as she grows. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic dog who’s ready to love big and live life to the fullest, Pancake is ready to pack her bags and move in!

Story
Location: Buffalo, MN After 3 years in a home, Greta sadly found herself back in rescue. Despite everything, this sweet girl continues to be nothing but loving, loyal, and ready to give her whole heart. Greta is truly the total package: 🐾 House trained 🐾 Crate trained 🐾 Knows all her basic commands 🐾 Great with dogs and cats 🐾 Calm, affectionate, and easy to love Her only requirements? Greta needs a home without children and should be fed separately due to resource guarding around food and treats. Outside of mealtime, she happily coexists with other animals and has been an amazing foster dog. Greta is still feeling a little unsure being returned, and it can take her a few minutes to get over her initial stranger danger. Once you win her over, she’s the kind of dog who settles in beside you like she’s always belonged. After losing the family she thought was forever, Greta deserves a second chance with someone who will love her for life! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Meet Dai Mar – The Gentle Gentleman with a Playful Spark! Age: 12 years (13 in August) | Breed: Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix Weight:    66 lbs | Adoption Fee: $375 | Neutered: Yes Don’t let his age fool you— Dai Mar may be a senior in years, but he still has the heart (and play drive!) of a much younger pup. This sweet, easygoing guy loves squeaky toys, a good game of tug-of-war, and—most of all—being near his people. He’s the kind of companion who’ll be by your side through thick and thin, offering loyalty, love, and the occasional goofy grin. Dai Mar is friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs, cats, and respectful kiddos. He’s potty trained with a regular routine but does have an occasional accident, hasn’t needed to be crated, preferring to spend his time near the people he loves. While he's mostly agile, he occasionally needs a little help going up and down steps—but he’s still active and enjoys moving around. He is a vocal guy when it comes to unexpected noises, so a quiet, calm home would suit him best. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted friend with a golden heart and a playful streak, Dai Mar might be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to bring joy, love, and companionship into a home that will treasure him as much as he’ll treasure you. Ready to meet Dai Mar? Apply today and give this sweet senior the cozy, love-filled home he deserves. A s a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!     October 11, 2025, 9:59 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Clary, and I am from Texas! Spunky, energetic, and full of love, Clary is looking for an active home where she can run, play, go on walks, and be part of everyday family life. She’s really enjoying learning to walk on a leash and exploring new places beyond the yard. Like most puppies, she gets excited, especially when she sees squirrels or rabbits. She’s settling nicely into a routine, doing well in her crate at night and for a few hours during the day when needed (tried max 4 hours so far). Clary is also making great progress with potty training, with only a few accidents in the past couple of weeks. She plays well with her sister and other dogs. She’ll make an amazing addition to a loving and active home!

Story
I am looking for a temp foster home from June 8th-July 20th! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can help out! A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by The Wilbur Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $250.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, my name is Ringo, and I am from Tennessee! Ringo is a special dog. He’s a male Australian Cattle Dog/Red Speckled Heeler, and true to his breed. Instead of trying to move cattle along, another dog will do! In play he will nip at my dog’s heels, which inspires her to more play and soon both dogs are rolling around, then up and racing around the obstacle course in my back yard! Ringo plays hard, but gently. He loves to jump up after squirrels and birds in the trees and bushes, so he’ll need a 5 foot or higher fence. Then with a single call “come” he responds and comes on command. He’s smart, easy to please, and will look to his person for assurance, for he experiences separation anxiety. He has progressed so much, but he will need a person with patience and is willing to help him feel less anxious. Also, a resident dog about his size (30-40 lbs) will help him become less dependent on his person. Ringo is very well behaved in the house and on walks. With training he’s learning to not react to other dogs and their people. He is very gentle with my cat and has warmed up to my 11 year old granddaughter. On a short leash he has not reacted nervously to small children. He will bark loudly at certain outside noises or when in the car and people walk by but is learning to stop barking when commanded to stop. Each day he seems to relax more as he experiences new activities and sights. He enjoys his walks and won’t wander far from your side, often checking to see you following. Training assistance has been very beneficial to Ringo. At this time a woman would be the best fit for Ringo, with slow introductions to men/boys he does not know. He definitely has a gentleness about him, and would love a forever home.

Story
Meet Bandit! This handsome chap is looking for his furrever home! Bandit has been around other dogs and did well with them. Bandit is also good with kids of all ages, although when he's excited he can be a little jumpy. He has not been around cats, but he had a habit of chasing neighbor chickens, so we recommend doing a slow introduction to see how he does. Ask staff for tips! Bandit does well in a crate and is used to being kenneled when home alone. He is still learning about potty training and building his confidence with it. He loves to receive treats and attention, which are great for working on potty training! He does fairly well on the leash but is still working on pulling and can occasionally get distracted. Lots of patience and positive reinforcement will help Bandit blossom into the best boy he can be. Bandit does have moderate energy and tends to be destructive with toys. He loves ripping them apart - but if you'd rather avoid the mess, he also enjoys the tough chewer toys! He also loves to learn - he knows sit, stay, and "no"! Bandit also *loves* the water. It is his favorite thing! Could Bandit steal your heart? Come meet him today! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
