Story
Hi, I’m Sammy. I’m a collie beagle mix born approximately 3/17/21. I have the legs of a collie, but the beagle side of my personality is what comes out the most when it comes to sniffing. When I came to NDLB I was heartworm-positive and had a skin issue. I just finished my heartworm treatments and as you can tell from my pictures my fur has grown back beautifully. I get complimented on my coloring a lot when out for walks. Once I decide you’re my human I will stick to you like glue. I do well with my foster parent's dogs but sometimes if they are playing, I will mistake it for aggression and growl. I quickly stop if told no. Other than that, I get along great with them. I would be a great only dog since I love my humans. I go to the office with my foster mom and do well with all the customers that come in and the pesky office cats I just ignore. I’m quiet as far as barking unless I see deer or other critters on my walk. I sleep well all night on a dog bed in my foster parent's bedroom. I prefer not to be in a crate.  I do have separation issues when my foster mom leaves me at home and I have escaped from the house twice but as soon as she pulled up, I was right there by the car. This might be because I go to the office with her every day but it is something that needs to be considered. My foster parents think I’m super smart and maybe training and longer daily walks or a fenced-in yard would help with the separation issues.  I’m a very happy girl and love my walks but also don’t mind a good snuggle on the couch or right by your feet. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $395.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 11, 2024, 3:48 pm

Story
Location: Mankato, MN Hi there!! My name is Remington! My foster mom says that I will do anything for a treat, but can you blame me? Do you want to see my toys?? I love to play! No? Ok, then I will chew on my bone for a minute and take a nap, preferably on something soft like the couch or a pillow in my crate. Wait, are you going outside? Yes! I would love to go outside! I like to smell everything. I am pretty independent, so my foster mom is always chasing me around while I do my own thing. I really love to meet cats and dogs but I am very sensitive to how they are feeling. So if they are upset then so am I, but if they are friendly then we will get along! Remington is a super sweet boy and has been working hard on his training. He is very smart and has picked up basic commands from his older foster sister. He isn't the in-your-face-needy type (unless you have food), but he does want to be able to see his pet friends, so he follows his foster sister around the house to make sure she isn't getting into any trouble. He doesn't seem to care about his 2 cat foster sisters, but needs slow intro with other dogs. Once introduced, he is a great dog friend. He is almost potty trained and crate trained after only 1 week of being with his foster mom. What a good boy! ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Hibbing, MN Ryder has been with us for a few weeks now, and he has settled in really well! He is around four other dogs of varying ages and sizes, and is also around two cats. He loves to play with the other dogs, and sometimes needs a reminder when playtime is over (usually because I've had enough, lol). He is curious about the cats, and never has been reactive or aggressive toward them. He will bark as if to say "play with me!". We also have two outdoor rabbits, and he will go to them and watch them sometimes but seems very good around them! He loves to randomly let out one bark, and I find it hilarious because it's like he is saying, "is everyone still here??". Haha! He is a licker, and does jump, but it's always because he is so friendly and wants attention. We are working with him to not jump, and he's shown some improvement with that! He also appears to have some retrieving ability, as he loves to play ball and will go fetch it and run around with it. He's vocal in the sense that he will yelp when barely touched. He is not in pain nor appears afraid, so maybe that is just part of his nature. For example, he ran to the neighbor's house yesterday and when my boyfriend grabbed him very gently by the collar, he yelped. So the neighbor thought Korey hurt him, and he truly didn't. He has had a few accidents, but that hasn't happened for a while, so I think he is getting used to the routine with our other dogs. We absolutely love him!! He is a cuddle bug! ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD I love to run and play with everyone in my foster home. I love to play tug and am really good at playing tag with the kids I live with. I'm just about fully potty trained and am learning from my other foster friends. I do cry just a little in my crate but that's because I just want to play and be loved. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Farmington, MN Are you looking for a sweet girl with a side of sass? That's me! I'm Hunter! My foster mama says I'm full of personality and I have everything you could want in a dog! I'm super smart and already killing it with my crate training and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have this potty training licked in no time too! I like to cuddle and would love it if you'll let me curl up with you on the couch or let me jump in your bed for a snuggle. I hang out with a bunch of big dogs at my foster home so I'm getting pretty confident and I'm not afraid to let them know!
