●Rescue Story Diah was rescued from the euthanasia list at "Jeongeup City Shelter" in South Korea. Thanks to timely intervention, she was given a second chance at life and moved into a foster home, where she has been able to show her true personality in a safe and loving environment. ●Temperament & Behavior Diah is a very people-loving dog. She is comfortable even with strangers touching her and often approaches first, asking for affection. As soon as someone pets her, she happily rolls onto her back, inviting more love and belly rubs. She gets along well with other dogs and can live in a multi-dog household. While she may feel a bit overwhelmed by dogs that play very roughly, once she has time to get to know them, she plays happily with dogs of all sizes—running, playing, and engaging in gentle wrestling. Her compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. ●Walking & Daily Life At first, Diah seemed a bit timid on walks, but with consistent leash training she has learned to walk nicely while matching her handler’s pace. Loud noises or passing cars may briefly startle her, causing her to pause, but if given a moment to calmly wait, she regains confidence and continues walking, sniffing around and enjoying her surroundings. She has no food allergies, is not a picky eater, and eats well. Her shedding level is moderate, about 5 out of 10. ●Habits & Training Diah uses indoor pee pads about 80% of the time and goes potty outdoors about 20% of the time. She tolerates baths and brushing well and remains calm during grooming. She does not show separation anxiety and is comfortable staying alone. She rarely barks, only giving a short bark occasionally at the doorbell. She rides extremely well in the car with no motion sickness. When placed in a car seat, she calmly lies down, naps, watches people, or looks out the window. ●Likes & Personality Diah loves playing with toys and engaging in gentle play. We got our beautiful and lovely little corgi, Winston, when he was just born in 2021. He is lively, energetic, always friendly, always up for fun, but also stubborn in his own ways. We had our first child two years ago and now will have our second at end of year. Sadly with our limited space and our time constraints taking care of Winston has become harder and harder. He is not overly time consuming but he does need attention that we feel harder to provide him. We also are aiming to travel for a significant period of time next year which makes having him all the more difficult. This has not been an easy decision, our toddler loves him, and he loves her back. He has been nothing less than a joy for us. He is stuck on his ways, very food motivated and eager to follow his own path when walking but he is always such a dear and lovely dog. As a corgi though (1) he is vocal, (2) he sheds a lot and (3) is very low to the ground (can result in an accident).

Meet Numi | Apply Here | Videos Numi is a petite 35lb, 6 year old Jindo mix with a long body and little legs. In 2020, our team and partners rescued over 100 dogs from a factory in Paju, South Korea. What originally started as a few dogs on the property, rapidly became a hoarding situation where the gene pool was very limited. Despite the guardian’s efforts, things were quickly out of his control and rescuers needed to step in. Since then, Numi’s two puppies and most of the relatives of the rescue have found wonderful forever homes all over the world. This girl is a little extra special though, so her adoption journey has taken a bit longer. Currently, she’s been diagnosed as fully blind in both eyes due to advanced cataracts and chronic glaucoma. Numi is absolutely in no pain from this though, and proves more every day how resilient she is! At first meet, you might not even realize that she’s blind - she maneuvers very well both inside and out, engages with her fosters happily, and lifts her head to sniff the fresh air often. Numi is very mellow and lowkey - she loves a good nap and adores belly rubs and neck scritches. Though she needs a special family willing to take things slow and tackle the world with her, she’s honestly a perfect little gal. She does wonderfully in her crate, is good with her house training, triumphs obstacles and new paths outside like a pro, and is already becoming more and more playful. She would thrive most outside of the city since she can be a little unsure of loud city noises. For now, we’re only having private meet and greets for lovely Numi to reduce her stress and avoid overstimulating her in the city. But don’t let that stop you from applying!!
