Jasper was rescued from a kill shelter in Swainsboro, GA where his time was dwindling simply because he was heartworm positive. Luckily for Jasper, Home for Good does not stray away from the 'harder' cases and immediately took him in. Jasper has been treated for Heartworm Disease and is now ready to find his forever family! Jasper is a very loving and attentive boy. He loves to sit for affection and of course, a few treats. Jasper loves to go on daily walks throughout the neighborhood and meet any new people he can. Nora has been a loving and beloved member of our family for 3.5 years, but she has also been a tremendous challenge. We've made tons of progress but have come to realize that long-term, she will be happier in a bigger, quieter home. Her behavioral vets tell us she's the most complicated case they've ever seen. She suffered brain damage due to blood loss when her spay went wrong in Jan 2021. (She's since been spayed properly.) Too little space here to convey the scope of her issues, so suffice to say that Nora needs a home with space, quiet, and lots of patience from her owners. Loves: - Running in open areas. - Playing with other dogs she knows. - Dancing on her hind legs for a treat. Non-starters: - Homes in densely populated areas/ shared walls. - Kids under 12, or anyone who can't respect a boundary when she asserts one. - Inexperienced dog owners She is both deeply, enthusiastically loving, and a tough case. Hi, my name is Coco! I'm a cute boy that is curious of the world. I’m two and a half years old. I love people very much and whenever I walk down the street, there are always people who want to play with me. But I'm so scared of other dogs that I need to bark at them to let them leave me alone. I'm well-behaved and I will just fall asleep if nobody plays with me. If I'm bored, I will hand over my toys to you and lean my head towards you to beg you to play with me. I enjoy delicious food and I love having my meal without interruption. I never played with small kids before, but maybe someone can give me a chance. Mike is relocating and he cannot bring me there because of lots of reasons. I hope someone with experience can give me a forever home. I am ready for the new life. He is such a softie + sweetie – but still loves to play. Not destructive, no potty accidents, seems to know what off means for the most part... He loves a long walk but he also loves a long nap and cuddle. He's fun to train (we just learned to sit!), loves treats and destroys chew toys in under an hour (happily). He does NOT like his salmon kibble, however when mixed with some wet food he'll eat it, but he is quite the picky eater. He walks really well, loves to sniff everything, but doesn't seem to eat anything off the streets/isn't interested in eating things that aren't food or treats. He definitely has a mid level of energy and gets a 60-90 minute morning walk at about 7:30am, but can definitely keep up on a long Sunday stroll around town (was fine on a 2 .5 hour walk around with some breaks!) He loves to say hi to all other dogs, but sometimes the tail goes down and he'll growl a little, so I always make sure the tail is wagging before letting him say hello. Reading definitely struggles with separation anxiety and will need a pet parent able and patient to help him through this! He barks a little and then cries almost the entire time he's left alone, and sits and waits by the door until I return. It seems he'll bark a bit for about 5 minutes and then just whimper/cry softly. He even doesn't like when I go to the bathroom /leave him alone in a room, but it's only his first week here so this may improve with some training and as he decompresses. I think he'll do well with someone who is home often, with a consistent routine, plenty of exercise, training and love! He loves to come into my room to wake me up at 7:00am like an alarm clock, but sleeps solidly throughout the night with no disruptions. He definitely needs to lose a few pounds but has great energy levels/no issues with lots of exercise. He still has a very puppy-like energy and excitement!  Overall, he is such a great pup with a lovely personality and just some seo anxiety! He doesn't seem to mind the sounds and does well on the streets of NYC."  Level of dog ownership experience needed: INTERMEDIATE: This dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Energy Level  MEDIUM: Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. His manners are impeccable (inside and outside of the apartment), he is eager to please, minds his business, and isn’t impacted by the craziness of city life. Renton enjoys his walks (he will never turn one down) but also loves his naps. His favorite activity is curling up on the couch, or anywhere for that matter, for a cozy nap and some snores. He seems to be fearless in most aspects of life, so he is a great dog no matter where you are located. Overall, Renton has a lovely disposition and is such a catch!"
