Story
This is Butter, he is an 11 year old Mini Cream Dachshund. He has so much love to give, but our home is no longer set up for what he needs. He grew up with another dachshund that passed away a few years ago. Since then, grandkids have entered the picture, and he is just nervous around them. Out of an abundance of caution, it breaks our hearts to have to consider rehoming him. But he is spending so much time in his crate, and he deserves all of the snuggles and outdoors time that he wants without fear of littles tugging on him.He is very energetic and loves apple slices. We've always fed him quality food, so he in great health. Our vet always comments on his perfect weight. He is due for this year's wellness shots and nail trimming. It will be done in the next week or two. He is house-trained and crate-trainedWe are hoping to find him a good, loving home, that can give him the time and attention he needs to feel safe. He would be great for a senior adult looking for a senior dog to love.

Story
Maroon was given to us to use by a family member who rescues dogs. He is currently 6 years old and will be 7 on October 11th. We are for someone who has experience training with dogs with behavioral issues. Maroon can be a bit nervous around strangers, but can become very friendly once he gets comfortable with someone. He loves to listen to calming music and lo-fi music. He really loves eating chicken, peanut butter, and bananas. He can sometimes be a bit of a picky eater and needs a food topper in order to eat the rest of his food.

Story
Poppy is 2 years old and you’re typical dachshund. She has been potty trained to ring a bell on the door when she needs to go out, but she would love a doggy door even more. She would do best in a home without kids and with someone who is home a lot of the day and can give her the attention and love that she needs. We have tried to crate train her and there are times when she tolerates it, but definitely has not mastered it and struggles with separation anxiety. She does really well on a leash and loves to go for walks. Negative part about Poppy is that she has a spiteful side and will sometimes pee in the house because of it. We have too busy of schedules, already have another dog, and will be having a baby around soon, so just don’t have time to give her the attention she needs.

Story
Meet Bex!  At 6 months old and a petite 11 pounds, this little Chiweenie may be small, but her personality is larger than life. She’s fearless, full of sass, and absolutely convinced she runs the world (and honestly…she kind of does). This adorable girl is jet black with the cutest little white toes that look like she dipped her paws in paint. She struts around with confidence, curiosity, and just the right amount of attitude. Nothing scares her — not big dogs, new toys, or big adventures. She’s bold, playful, and always ready to investigate what’s happening around her. When she’s not busy being the boss, Bex loves cuddles, belly rubs, and curling up after a long day of puppy mischief. She’s the perfect mix of sweet and spicy — a tiny diva with a heart full of love. If you’re looking for a fearless little sidekick with personality for days, this sassy girl might just be your perfect match.  She’d probably do best in a home with older, considerate kids, and another dog to play with. Apartment life may not be a fit as well.   Warning: may steal your heart and your spot on the couch.
