Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Callie was brought as a stray to our local animal control and we were so sad that no one came for her!   Now  spayed, and  current on shots, we have learned in foster care she has been fine with toddlers as well as with older kids and visiting dogs but best suited as an only dog in the full time home.  She is playful with other dogs but best suited as the only small dog in the home, as she  has on occasion exhibited aggression toward another dog, out of the blue with no known trigger, per her foster.  She prefers to be the center of your attention, and LOVES to snuggle in a lap.  She weighs around 20lbs and vet records suggest she is around 3 years old.   Apply online to adopt at buttsmutts.com, to consider  making her part of your family!  ##1628772##

DoxieDachshundFemaleDOB: 4/1/21Hi, this is Doxie! A mama to two of the puppies we had here at the shelter. The pups have found their loving homes and now Doxie is hoping for hers too! She's such a deserving and sweet little girl! Just wait until she gets her zoomies on! They are the fastest and funniest ever! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Carson is an 11 year old, Beagle/Dachsund mix. He‘s small to medium in size and weighs 23 lbs. He’s short and the size of a beagle, but with a long body, color and face of a dachshund. Carson loves to cuddle, loves leash walks and hanging out with his family. He gets along well with other small dogs and loves small females the most! He adores cats and kittens too! Carson prefers dogs his size and smaller if in the home. He’s been attacked by larger dogs in the past and is more fearful of them.  We will not place him with larger dogs to make sure he is comfortable and safe. Carson loves to cuddle more than anything and really loves sleeping in the bed and watching movies on the sofa. He needs a home with someone home during the day, so he can be let outside often to potty on a regular basis. Carson is also crate-trained, neutered and current on shots. He has always had a fenced yard and we prefer for him to have a fence in his forever home.June 1, 2023, 8:11 pm
