Story
Got him as a puppy. He has been such an amazing dog. He absolutely loves cuddling and does not leave your side. He loves being loved. He walks great on a leash and loves to carry packages and mail back home. He is great with other dogs, at dog parks he’d rather be sitting next to you instead of playing with the rest of the dogs. We brought home our baby in August and he has been very protective of him but does not allow my husband, family, or friends around the baby. I hate to rehome him as I’ve had since he was a puppy but my husband is tired of being barked at every time he’s around the baby.

Story
Hi, I’m Scooby! I’m a 6-year-old Chiweenie with a relaxed, easygoing personality. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, I’m a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to cuddle. I’m a pro at spreading smiles and showering my people with kisses! I walk nicely on a leash and would make the perfect snuggle buddy for someone special. Currently, I am available for adoption. If you`re interested in adopting me, please fill out an application online or call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at 770-887-6480. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11-5 or Friday and Saturday 1-5. All of my love and kisses, Scooby /(^.^)\",AVAILABLE"

Story
Joey is the friendliest little greeter.  He never meets a stranger.  He is crate trained and working on fine tuning his house training.  He LOVES to go for walks.  He maybe 10, but shhhh dont tell him, he thinks he is 5.  He loves to burrow under blankets and keep your lap warm.  You can't ask for a better companion.  He gets along great with other dogs. *Joey is Bonded with his fur sister, Maggie.  They have a special bond and have been together for over 5 years.  They would love a home together.* Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes. A personal interview, reference checks, meet and greet with pet, home visit and a solid vet history are required for adoption.  Ruff Dog Rescue—Turning RUFF Starts into New Beginnings. ##2333183##

Story
Meet Lucy!  Our little Lucy Lou is a very very special girl looking for an even more special adopter…. Lucy came to us, along with several other dachshunds and a senior lab mix, during Summer 2024. Each came with their own behavioral quirks due to the situation they came out of, but we quickly learned that Lucy had been the most traumatized by her past.  Some quick facts about our little Lucy girl: *she is not a fan of the camera, hence the limited selection and poor quality pictures. Sometimes you just have to work with what you’ve got *she LOVES food! Mealtime is her favorite time of day! *Lucy loves burrowing into any soft blanket she can find, as any self respecting dachshund should, and kindly requests an ample supply in her new home *She lives for belly rubs! *Lucy is great with other dogs and cats but kindly requests that her 4 legged friends be on the calmer side. She said she’s way past her puppy mentoring days, but she does need to have a dog friend at home with her *Lucy is slow to trust but once she trusts you, she will love you with her whole entire being Now more on that last one…this is where the needing an extra special adopter comes in. What Lucy is actually looking for is a unicorn - someone with dachshund experience and an immense amount of patience. Someone who will pretty much completely ignore her until she feels safe and comfortable. She will also need a fenced yard because until she trusts her new person, leash walking will not be an option. But once she is comfortable, Lucy loves to go on walks! Lucy does need an adult only home and preferably a female only home, although there is a chance she could adjust to a home with a man as long as she has a woman she can bond with  Is there any such unicorn out there? We believe with all of our heart there is! We KNOW Lucy’s special person is out there waiting for her and we GUARANTEE that the amount of love she has to give is more than worth the time and patience needed to gain her trust!  Are you who Lucy has been waiting for? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org ##2195044##
