Story
Meet Cooper: Sweet, Loyal Boy Looking for a Calm Home I found Cooper on the streets of Houston around 2015, (so he is about 11) and he has been such a loving and faithful companion ever since. He bonds deeply with his people and has a gentle, sweet nature. As our family has grown busier with young kids and nonstop schedules, I’ve realized Cooper deserves more time and attention than I can currently give. He spends too much time crated during the day, and that isn’t fair to him. Cooper would thrive in a calmer home. He can get anxious with a lot of loud activity and doesn’t like thunderstorms. A quiet household or older couple with a yard where he can run and relax would be ideal. My goal is to find him a safe, stable, and loving forever home where he can truly flourish. Cooper has an older brother Dash who may need a home as well if interested please let me know. He is not active like Cooper and has bad arthritis but deserves more time and attention than I have right now :(

Our must haves for Rudy are: A fenced in yard Someone that can be home more than not Another small adult playful dog that doesn’t mind her stealing their toys No apartments, high rises or condos If you are interested in giving Rudy her last home than it’s important that you fill out the online adoption application right away because she won’t last long we can promise you that, oh and she loves attention and is a bit of an attention hog. ============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ============== AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed on the bio form. They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal. There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered. We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures. To understand the adoption process through AADR, please review the Adoption Information on our home page. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3. Click this link to apply: https://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/apply, it will take you to the application form. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers who will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or Midwest. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. Please look for dogs on your coast.

Story
At just 12 weeks old and a petite 6 pounds, this little Chiweenie may be small, but her personality is larger than life. She’s fearless, full of sass, and absolutely convinced she runs the world (and honestly…she kind of does). This adorable girl is jet black with the cutest little white toes that look like she dipped her paws in paint. She struts around with confidence, curiosity, and just the right amount of attitude. Nothing scares her — not big dogs, new toys, or big adventures. She’s bold, playful, and always ready to investigate what’s happening around her. When she’s not busy being the boss, she loves cuddles, belly rubs, and curling up after a long day of puppy mischief. She’s the perfect mix of sweet and spicy — a tiny diva with a heart full of love. If you’re looking for a fearless little sidekick with personality for days, this sassy girl might just be your perfect match.  She’d probably do best in a home with older kids, another dog to play with. Apartment life may not be a fit as well.   Warning: may steal your heart and your spot on the couch. An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          April 8, 2026, 4:32 pm

Story
Midnight ended up at animal control after his owners abandoned him at a clinic. He was held for a while but with so many dogs he ended up on the euthanasia list. Can you imagine? This little guy is a very nice dog with a great temperament. He loves to hang with his people way more than the other dogs at his foster home so he could be an only dog or live with the other canines that have a chill temperament His foster family believe he is mixed with corgi or other herding breed because he has a habit of jumping and mouthing to get attention. Midnight is not really a vocal dog. But when he has something to say it is in a a "Big Dog" bark but the good news is he's not a huge barker unless he's excited about something. Midnight sleeps quietly in a crate like a gentleman. Midnight is completely potty trained. He no longer takes any medicine for anything but when he did he took it like a champ. He loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you to throw again. He loves to go for loooooooong leash walks. He needs a home with people that will dedicate time to his daily walks. This guy absolutely loves to explore the back yard and will definitely need a fenced yard. He is working on waiting but still is a BIG Door Darter. He is very excited to GO, GO, GOI! A home with adults and everyone over 16yrs is needed so he doesn’t sneak out past a kiddo. ✅ Sweet guy ✅ loves to walk & play with toys ✅ crate trained 🚫 door dasher so no young kiddos ✅ housetrained ✅ smart and eager to learn ✅ fenced yard If you are interested in adopting Midnight, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to our online adoption application. Midnight's adoption fee is $500. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Midnight will go to his / her new home microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed. Almost every dog's veterinary expenses exceed our adoption fees; we are a non-profit. DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back. Follow us on Instagram , Facebook and Twitter

Story
Boscoe has a number of talents and his foster mom calls him a smart Houdini. He quickly figured out how to open pocket doors to get into another room. He will push doors open if they are not latched. He prefers to stay within sight of his person. He is an all star snuggler and we are sure he will pass the snuggles certification exam with flying colors. 😉 Boscoe had been training using pads and is now about 85% house trained especially when his cues are picked up and he’s let outside for a potty break. He definitely needs a secure fenced yard as he likes to explore and looks for ways to escape. He's not shown any signs of being a digger but he has shown tendencies to be a door darter. Boscoe is very athletic and can jump up quite high. He really loves being around people and can have some separation anxiety but is getting better. He's good with dogs and people but much prefers his people over another dog. Boscoe does NOT like to be crated and will chew the metal on the crate as his anxiety escalates being in there. He usually has something to say and lets his voice be heard if he isn’t feeling secure. His foster mom says he has settled in and she thinks he had a hard time adjusting to a new environment because he wasn’t around many different people and situations before coming to DREAM. If you are interested in adopting Boscoe, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to our online adoption application. Boscoe's adoption fee is $700. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds.
