Buddy has been with us for 2 1/2 years. He has been around children for all of this time and we have had no issues but he recently bit a child. We have two foster children so we can no longer keep him. I suggest he not be adopted in a home with children.

Story
Buddy was on social media and I went to meet his owners. He had been tied to a tree in Piedmond Park and this couple rescued him. After trying to find his owners with no luck, they kept him. they had him for about 6 months, then her mother got sick and had to move in with them. The mom had a big dog and they had a big dog so 3 dogs in their home was too much. They interviewed 5 families and they picked us to be his home. He has been so good with our 2 foster kids but he did show aggression to a 4 year old neighbor buy a month ago (totally unprevoked). Then our grandgaughter came to visit and she loves animals so I told her she could play with him. She opened the door to our office to let him out and he bite her on the leg. I was there so I know she didn't do anything but open the door so he could join us. He doesn't really know her because they don't live nearby but I didn't expect that he would go after her. DFCS will not allow us to keep him and I understand that.

Story
Morty is a senior Dachshund mix with a heart full of love and a strong desire to be wherever his people are. At around 10+ years old and 16 lbs, he’s the definition of a Velcro dog: if you’re home, Morty will be right by your side, in your lap, or snuggled under a blanket near you. Morty is mostly potty trained and does a great job letting you know when he needs to go outside. He walks nicely on a harness and enjoys spending time with other small dogs and cats. While he can coexist with larger dogs, he seems most comfortable around dogs his own size. Like many long-backed breeds, Morty will need ramps or stairs to help protect his back and should not be jumping on and off furniture. He’s also not a good off-leash candidate because once he decides to go exploring, he’s not likely to come back when called! Morty is a sweet, affectionate boy who thrives on attention and companionship. He can be a little anxious when he can’t be near his people and may whine or bark to let you know he’d rather be included. Because of this, he’ll do best with a family that understands his clingy nature and will shower him with the love he craves. For his age, Morty is in great health. He recently had a dental procedure and only has a few teeth remaining, so he does best eating soft food. The good news? He’s very food motivated and always excited for mealtime. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily spend his days cuddled up next to you, Morty may be your perfect match! To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org His adoption fee is $350, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Must adopt with Abby BB is a very sweet affectionate girl.  She is a mini, long-haired Dachshund. She is very spoiled and loves to be petted.  She is very bonded with her sister Abby so she will need to be adopted into the same home.  We will only adopt them together. BB  doesn't have experience with small kids, in fact we prefer only older respectful kids because the sisters are so small.  She  is great with kids over 10. She is house-trained but will use a pee pad if necessary.  Otherwise, she doesn't have accidents on the flooring. Her mom fed her a special type of dachsund food with crumbled cooked chicken mixed in.  We would like to keep her diet consistent at least while she is adapting to her new environment.  We are trying to keep them in the Metro Atlanta area. Age: 10 years Weight: 10lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, cats, older respectful kids Training: Housetrained Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention Email for questions:    http://vanessalweiss@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. July 30, 2026, 7:28 am

Story
Meet Bex!  At 6 months old and a petite 11 pounds, this little Chiweenie may be small, but her personality is larger than life. She’s fearless, full of sass, and absolutely convinced she runs the world (and honestly…she kind of does). This adorable girl is jet black with the cutest little white toes that look like she dipped her paws in paint. She struts around with confidence, curiosity, and just the right amount of attitude. Nothing scares her — not big dogs, new toys, or big adventures. She’s bold, playful, and always ready to investigate what’s happening around her. When she’s not busy being the boss, Bex loves cuddles, belly rubs, and curling up after a long day of puppy mischief. She’s the perfect mix of sweet and spicy — a tiny diva with a heart full of love. If you’re looking for a fearless little sidekick with personality for days, this sassy girl might just be your perfect match.  She’d probably do best in a home with older, considerate kids, and another dog to play with. Apartment life may not be a fit as well.   Warning: may steal your heart and your spot on the couch. An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          July 30, 2026, 2:52 pm

Story
Meet Beetle Bug — Your Little Shadow with a Big Heart  Beetle Bug is a lovable, one-of-a-kind pup looking for a forever home to call his own! Just a little over 3 years old and weighing about 23 pounds, this adorable black pup is a unique mix of Pug, Chihuahua, and Shih Tzu — which basically means he got the best parts of all three breeds.  He was born at his foster's home, was adopted and loved for three years until the owner couldn't care for him anymore.  He was a little nervous at first, but is feeling at home now. Beetle Bug is a sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys being close to his people and soaking up attention. He has a gentle personality and a loyal nature, making him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a devoted best friend. Whether he’s relaxing nearby, following you from room to room, or settling in for cuddle time, Beetle Bug simply loves being part of the family. He’s past the puppy chaos but still young enough to enjoy adventures, walks, and playtime. At 23 pounds, he’s the perfect size — big enough for fun outings but small enough to be an easy house companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, charming dog with lots of love to give, Beetle Bug may be your perfect match.     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions.
