Maizy Novella Needs Her Happy Ending  At 9 years old, sweet, Maizy Novella has already been through more than her share of challenges. This beautiful, long-haired, Dachshund recently battled a terrible case of bladder stones, but thanks to surgery, those painful stones are gone. With the right food and a loving family, she has a bright, healthy future ahead of her. Now all Maizy needs is someone to write the happy ending to her story. Maizy is the definition of a loving companion. She adores curling up on the sofa beside her people, soaking up affection, and having her gorgeous coat brushed. She’s gentle, sweet, and happiest when she’s spending quiet time with the people she loves. Could you be the one to give this deserving girl the forever home she’s been waiting for? Maizy has so much love left to give and is ready to spend her golden years being cherished the way every dog should be. Open your heart to Maizy Novella and help her story end exactly as it should - with love. Story
Morty is a senior Dachshund mix with a heart full of love and a strong desire to be wherever his people are. At around 10+ years old and 16 lbs, he’s the definition of a Velcro dog: if you’re home, Morty will be right by your side, in your lap, or snuggled under a blanket near you. Morty is mostly potty trained and does a great job letting you know when he needs to go outside. He walks nicely on a harness and enjoys spending time with other small dogs and cats. While he can coexist with larger dogs, he seems most comfortable around dogs his own size. Like many long-backed breeds, Morty will need ramps or stairs to help protect his back and should not be jumping on and off furniture. He’s also not a good off-leash candidate because once he decides to go exploring, he’s not likely to come back when called! Morty is a sweet, affectionate boy who thrives on attention and companionship. He can be a little anxious when he can’t be near his people and may whine or bark to let you know he’d rather be included. Because of this, he’ll do best with a family that understands his clingy nature and will shower him with the love he craves. For his age, Morty is in great health. He recently had a dental procedure and only has a few teeth remaining, so he does best eating soft food. The good news? He’s very food motivated and always excited for mealtime. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily spend his days cuddled up next to you, Morty may be your perfect match! To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org His adoption fee is $350, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.

Story
Meet Pippin Pippin is an adorable 9 week old Dachshund mix puppy. We rescued this baby, his siblings and mom after they found themselves in need of rescue. He is a small breed puppy and is very little. We are not recommending a home with small children. He is up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped, neutered and ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family to call her own. If you’re interested in learning more about this baby or his siblings, please apply to furkids.org. The adoption fee is $660 and you must be 21 years old to adopt.

Story
12/30/25 I'm so sad no one has asked about me. I'm really a good boy. I don't know why I'm not good with men. When Act2Pups rescued me from an outside cage during the winter I guess it was a man that left me outside. I listen well and I do what I'm told. I'm a pleaser for sure and I would just love to please Y.O.U. I've been here before...yes three years ago I was adopted and I thoroughly enjoyed my person. Unfortunately she fell and broke her hip and couldn't take care of me any more. I'm not terribly sad, but I do miss having a person of my own. I prefer females, apparently men have not been nice to me in the past. If you know my breed you know I'm pretty strong headed. I get along with all my housemates, both girls and boys. I like to take walks, I walk pretty well on a leash. I love meal time, so be careful I don't get too large! I'm ready for that forever home....calling all dachshund lovers!
