Dexter is on a special diet and needs regular grooming appointments for his skin. Meet Sunshine: Sunshine is about a 10 year old (as of May 2026) dachshund mix that weighs about 16 pounds. Sunshine was surrendered by her owner with 2 other companions when the owner could no longer keep them. Sunshine is now being fostered in the Parkesburg, PA area (as of June 6, 2026) and would love to meet her forever family. Sunshine came to us appearing to have been a well loved family pet. Sunshine is a consummate lap baby who is happiest in someone's lap or under the covers at night time. She's very gentle and would be great with kids. Sunshine is not showing her age at all. She's very active and runs around the yard with the best of them. Sunshine appears to be house trained. We would love for Sunshine to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Sunshine did test heartworm positive and went through treatments. Sunshine is up to date on her shots and was spayed recently. I learned how to climb the stairs to the second floor on day two, I carry around my foster dad's shoes in my mouth, (and they're not small). I get along great with my furry foster friends (who are 25 lbs.), and I never met a toy that I didn't love (no matter how much it weighs). Mostly, I just want to be included in everything that the family is doing. Even though I'm a bit on the clingy side, I do settle quickly in my crate when my family goes out and at bedtime, too. Since I'm still a puppy, with puppy teeth, I need lots of chew toys to keep me from nibbling on fingers and toes. I'm also learning to do my business outside, and I love nature. They came from a hoarder home filled with doxies, chis, pugs; were adopted but lost their home when their owner became unable tp care for them. They have been doing well in foster care, like other dogs/playing. Shy at first, then sweet, affectionate boys. Three years, chubby at 18 and 19 pounds, Tommy and Teddy need help losing several pounds each.  They'll be great new family members. Fostered near Philadelphia.
