Story
Emerson and Allie are adorable 11wk old puppies that are ready for their new homes. Allie has a more black face and she is about 12lbs. Emerson is about 15lbs. They are both very friendly, affectionate puppies that would love to have socially active homes. They are very smart and are already learning a few basic manners. Allie will bark a little bit when she’s trying to get your attention. Emerson is a very quiet boy. Another playful dog in the home for each of them would be ideal. Allie is very outgoing. Emerson is a bit on the shy side until he gets to know you. Both have wonderful, sweet temperaments. They appear to be Doberman Lab mix, but we’re not quite sure. Whatever they are, they are wonderful, social, playful pups that would make an excellent addition to an active family with school age kids. They DO NOT need to be adopted together. They must have a 5ft or higher, securely fenced yard. Because of their young age, they should not be left alone for more than 4-5hr intervals.

Story
Animal Profile: Bingo is a young male blue Doberman who was picked up as a stray in Bakersfield and taken to the overcrowded shelter where he was euthanasia listed for space. The shelter estimated his age as two based on a quick exam, but in foster care he appears to be less than one year old. At the shelter, he was pretty shy and shut down, which is typical for the breed, but still friendly to people and dogs. He joined us on 11/27/22 and we will share more info as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: Bingo is a young and active boy; he loves to play with other dogs and is friendly with all people, although he can be shy upon first meeting. He is currently being fostered with other dogs and young kids and gets along well with everyone. Bingo can be possessive of his food bowl, and should be fed separately from other dogs until he knows his place in the pack. Bingo has no issues resource guarding with people. He currently eats his meals by hand during training or from a slow feed bowl in his crate. He has been to doggy daycare playgroups with large groups of dogs of all sizes and done well with everyone. Bingo is potty trained, and walks well on leash with a confident handler. He’d be an excellent jogging, hiking or biking companion! This young and active boy is so very handsome and has a typical Doberman velcro personality. He also loves his sweater and curling up into little spaces. Bingo does have prey drive and will need a home without cats. Bingo is also very vocal in the crate without a training collar; he may do okay in a kennel run but that wouldn't be an option in inclement weather. He would not be suitable in an apartment or space with shared walls. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter (neutered Dec 2022), core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was found as a stray and rescued from euthanasia at Bakersfield Shelter in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 11/27. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.February 25, 2024, 12:11 am

Story
Animal Profile: Rainy joined us from Bakersfield on 9/17. She is estimated to be a 2-year-old Doberman and has natural ears and a docked tail. She weighs 60 lbs and is friendly with people and other dogs. She’s been kenneled with multiple dogs at the Bakersfield shelter, and is a staff favorite with her friendly smile and wiggly little nub-tailed butt. Foster Update: Rainy is a sweet girl with an old soul. She is submissive when meeting new people and does well with other dogs with proper introductions. She is currently in a home with another male Doberman and a small Chihuahua mix. Rainy can be a little sassy with other dogs about her space in the crate (she doesn't like to be crowded) but she has not had any issues with that outside of her kennel. Though she tolerates the other dogs, I do think she would enjoy being an only. In typical Doberman fashion, she is a silent shadow that would love to be attached to your leg all day if possible. She is house and crate trained, and walks well on leash. Rainy is nervous about big city noises (buses, trucks, construction) so she would do best in single-family dwelling. Rainy is sweet with the dog-respectful 3.5 year old girl in our home, and would be fine with other children who have lived with dogs. We would like to see her in a home with large breed experience; no first time dog owners please! Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Story
Animal Profile: Mocha is an estimated 7-month-old 40 lb fawn Doberman with natural ears and tail who was rescued from Stanilaus Mdoesto and arriving to Seattle area foster care on Sunday Feb 4th. At the shelter she temp tested well with other dogs and people; she was Rescue Only due to a "bite" which was not aggressive but rather exuberant puppy biting. We will share more updates as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Updates:  Looking for a Java boost? Look no further than Miss Mocha! This adorable 7-month-old puppy is all that and cup of coffee. Mocha is friendly, playful, and curious. She's still learning the ropes of how to dog, and true to puppy nature she’s exploring the world with her mouth. Her foster mama is doing an amazing job teaching her manners. Mocha is a smart girl who loves the company of other dogs, so having a balanced canine companion in her forever home would be paw-some! If you have experience with large breeds and are ready to invest time and energy into bonding and training, Mocha could be the perfect addition to your family. However, due to her lively nature and mouthy behavior, we're looking for a home without small children for Mocha. Let's help this beautiful girl find her forever family and become someone's best friend for life! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Mocha was found as a stray in Modesto and rescued by Dog Gone Seattle, arriving to Seattle area foster care on 2/4. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. February 25, 2024, 12:11 am

Story
Animal Profile: Copper is an estimated 3-year-old, 80 lb neutered male Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. He was originally picked up as a stray in Georgia and joined us from via Project Freedom Ride. He was evaluated to be very friendly with dogs and people. Foster Update: Copper is young and full of energy, but it's easy to wear him out with some exercise. He loves to chase balls, although he is still working on returning and dropping them. Copper can be cautious around new people, but once he warms up to them (or they give him a treat), he is very affectionate. He is able to make friends with other dogs after slow and proper introductions. With a confident handler, Copper doesn't react much to other dogs when on leash. He likes to lead but does not pull on walks. Adopter Profile: Single family dwelling with a securely fenced yard. No cats or small animals. Large breed experience and breed experience a plus!  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/Bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.
