Story
Hi, my name is Vieja, I know my name means old, but really, I am a perfect age for a new family, I am mostly over my puppy stage and not into my tired and lazy stage. I am a happy and well-adjusted dog who loves to play with other dogs and loves kids. I am a hunter by nature so cats wouldn’t be a good thing for me.Car rides are one of my favorite things, I like to stick my head out the window so I can catch all the scents out there. I especially like car rides when they end up at the beach. I am not much of a swimmer but I love to wade and play in the water. I am pretty good with walking on a leash but sometimes I feel a bit overwhelmed so that is a work in progress. I am potty trained and learning to be crate trained too. If you are looking for a calm social dog to join your family then look no further, just fill in an application and we can meet on Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Vieja To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Meet Tucker! This fabulous boy is a Catahoula/Doberman mix and he is around 7.5 years old. Tucker is a sweet boy who is affectionate with people and a friendly boy. Sadly he lost his first home due to his owners moving, and now he is losing his second home for the same reason. Poor guy can't catch a break. Tucker is best buds with Dublin and we have been trying to place them together for some time without any luck. We have no choice but to split them up and trust that each boy will do ok as long as they are with a loving and patient family.  Tucker gets a little anxious for big things like vet visits but other than that he is a gentle soul. We are hoping to find him a new forever home before mid March so that he does not have to end up in a shelter.  Tucker loves the sun so a home with a yard where he can sniff around and lay in the sun will. be great for him.  He will be vaccinated, chipped and is neutered. His adoption fee is $395.   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Murphy was an Animal Control seizure case last Fall when he was found dragging his hind end over gravel, and weighing less than half of the body weight he should have been. He was given to us to attempt to rehab, but that process has been a very slow and painful one. He is a big boy that requires strength to manage, and as hard as he tries, not every day has been better than his last. ? Murphy loves people and is the sweetest guy, and his recent MRI results show that his body ***should just about fully recover, but he needs someone devoted to his care and his rehab and that’s a tall order to fill. Murphy gets along with other dogs, but wants to overpower small males dogs (he has not been neutered yet as we were originally told he would need his hormones to recover). He is not safe around cats. He is about five years old. Murph is mobile (we will post video in the comments), but really needs time and a person with that same amount of time and patience to provide his PT exercises. Please help us by sharing this post and pray with us that someone out there exists who is meant to be his person. All physical therapy appointments and medical care (& food, etc) will be covered by PACK. If you think you have the huge heart and strength to help this wonderful boy heal please email packcares@gmail.com and include your phone number. We love you big guy and we hope we find your perfect place very soon! ??????Located in Pierce County, WA.April 18, 2024, 4:53 pm

Story
This sweet girl is a social butterfly, always ready to show off her belly for those coveted belly rubs, even with new friends. When it comes to doggy introductions, Bebe is a gentle greeter, preferring to make friends with dogs her size. She's not one for rough play and will politely back away from any four-legged friend showing aggression until things calm down. During her encounters with a curious stray cat, Bebe's sniffometer definitely spikes! But, true to her loyal nature, she listens well to her handler's cues to move along. With moderate energy levels, Bebe loves outdoor adventures but transforms into a calm companion indoors, making her the ideal buddy for any occasion. Resource guarding? Not in Bebe's playbook! She's incredibly easy-going, sharing her treasures without a second thought. Mastering the art of leash walking and the fine technique of car entry and exit, Bebe is quite the clever cookie. Plus, her extensive training means she's fluent in a plethora of commands! While Bebe currently does her business both indoors and outdoors, once she settles into a routine, she'll happily transition to outdoor potty exclusivity. If you're on the lookout for a tender-hearted and intelligent companion, Bebe is the perfect match for you! To see more videos:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jyd1-1Ak8SH0dp-PVO4byAE

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Dante! He is a beautiful, 1-year-old, 56 lb Doberman who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA to find a better life. We are not sure of his past life, but he came to us very underweight and covered in ticks. We are working to get him back to a healthy weight. Dante is a very sweet boy who loves to go for walks but can put hard on the leash. He will need some work on his overall obedience skills. He does know some basic commands. He is very treat motivated which is great for training. He is very interested in squeaky toys and may have some prey drive so we are recommending a home without cats or other small animals for now. He would love a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run and play. He has done well with other dogs in our care and would do great with another dog in the home but could do fine as an only dog as well. Dante is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Chopper! He is a gorgeous, purebred, 7-month-old, Doberman Pinscher who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA to find a better life Chopper is fun, active boy who still has very puppy like energy and will need work on his overall obedience and leash skills. She can be a little mouthy (playful), so we are not recommending small children at this time. He does great with other dogs and loves to play and would love another playful dog in the home. We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood where he can run and play. No city life for him. He enjoys going for walks but can be barky at other dogs passing by as he wants to engage them in play. He loves to go on walks and run and would love an active adopter who loves to run or would take him on adventures. Chopper is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $550.

Hi my name is Rufus,I am just a young boy who has a zest for life. I was injured when I was really young and I limped when my foster mom rescued me. I had surgery on my hip and I am now recovering from that. I am sure that in a few more months I will walk without a limp and be as good as new.I love to play with the other dogs here both young and old. I am not rough so even the smallest ones are fun to be with. I don’t live with cats so I am not sure what that would be like. I don’t live with kids either but I think I would like to have some young friends to play with. Toys are great, especially the chew type. But sometimes I get toys confused with shoes and my mom doesn’t like that.I sleep in a crate at night and sometimes during the day when my family goes out but I am ok with that because there is always a treat that goes with that.I know how to sit for a treat too. I will need some extra training if you want to teach me some tricks. I haven’t been out walking on a leash yet because of my injury but I am a smart boy so it won’t take me long to learn. If you are looking for a loving, quiet, and sweet boy to add to your family then just fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Loving life,Rufus.
