HI - I'M CARTER, a sweet, loving and strong 3-year-old Doberman/Shepherd mix. I was originally rescued from a California shelter and am now in a foster home in Washington! I'm a dream dog! I am house-trained and crate trained (I love my crate), great with other dogs, and am currently learning how to get along with horses. I love running, playing with my squeaky toys, going for walks and cuddling with humans. If you let me, I'll share your bed! I have an easygoing and funny personality, and am looking for someone to offer me a safe and comfortable home. I would do well with a fenced yard as I love to do the zoomies! I'm super smart and I learn quickly: I know the commands of "easy" (when I'm getting a treat), "stay" and I am learning to sit on command. I would thrive in an active, calm, family-oriented environment. I would do well with a single person, a couple or a family. I love kids and other dogs, and would love to wrestle with teenagers! I can also be low energy as I love to lay around and relax, too. I weight 68 lbs. I will soon be needing a new foster, too, so if you can foster or adopt me, please email for an application. Aurora is a smart, brave, and loving female dog. She is affectionate and protective of her humans and dog pals; very loyal. Aurora is an adult dog and is being fostered with other dogs. After proper introductions to the other dogs, Aurora enjoys wrestling with her pals. Aurora came in as a stray where she protected herself and her sister and now it’s her time to be taken care of. Aurora loves her daily walks and would be a great running or hiking buddy that would be pretty happy curled up next to you on the couch after. Aurora would do best in a home without cats or other small animals; she has not been cat tested and has a prey drive for squirrels and bunnies on her walks. Aurora is very sweet and will make a great addition to a family. Aurora is about 60 lbs but is still putting on some much needed weight. She is crate and potty trained, under 2 years old, UTD on shots, and is schedule to be spayed and microchipped next week. He has done amazing in his foster home, immediately making himself cozy and settling in with his foster brother and resident cat, who he is very curious about, but doesn’t bother. He absolutely adores other dogs and plays well with all sizes, although he prefers buddies around his size for wrestling! He`s also met kids and does great with them! He is an absolute cuddle bug, whose favorite activity is curling up under the blankets close to his humans. If you’re ready to bring home your new best friend, Scar is the guy for you!The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better! He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. He's a big snuggler and will want to share your bed. He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a submissive female. He's been waiting a long time for his own home, and we're hoping 2025 is his year! Howie currently needs a foster or forever home. He weighs about 55-60 lbs. Please email for an application.
