Story
Meet Tobie, Adventure Buddy, Professional Toy Collector, and All-Around Sweetheart! Tobie is a gentle, loving guy, and his biggest request in life is pretty simple: "Can I come too?" Heading to the beach? Tobie's in. Going hiking? He's ready. Paddle boarding? Surprisingly, yes! Taking a road trip? Save him a seat. Spending the evening doing absolutely nothing? Perfect. Tobie is equal parts adventure buddy and chill companion, and what matters most to him is getting to be part of the fun with his favorite people. At home, Tobie's goofy side really shines. He adores stuffies and believes they should accompany him everywhere, including outside. Consider them his emotional support stuffies. He frequently plays with his toys while lying flat on his back and has an adorable habit of trying to catch balls with his front paws. Fetch, however, remains a mystery. Why bring the ball back when you could simply chase it? Tobie absolutely LOVES other dogs. He's playful enough to enjoy a great game of chase or a wrestling match, but he's also remarkably polite with dogs who aren't ready to play. He reads their cues, gives them space, and waits for an invitation. A canine companion will be important in Tobie's forever home, both because he loves their company and because having a dog friend helps him feel more confident. Tobie is a social, affectionate guy who enjoys meeting new people and getting to know them. His loving personality comes shining through, and he's always happy to add another person to his circle of friends. This sweet guy has made wonderful progress building his confidence and thrives with structure, routine, and kind, consistent guidance. He's looking for a family who will continue helping him feel secure while including him in everyday life. Tobie is estimated to have been born in May 2024 and weighs 56 lbs. He is a loving and loyal Doberman who can’t wait to spend the rest of his life with you!  If you’re looking for an enthusiastic travel companion, canine social butterfly, and sweet soul who never travels without at least one emotional support stuffy, Tobie would really like you to pick him!  Tobie’s adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Tobie at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application ##2683347##

Story
Animal Information: Flint is a 6.5 month old Doberman mix rescued by a Good Samaritan in SoCal. His foster home had a lot of animals, so he hasn’t had much experience yet with walks or outings, but he’s done great living with small dogs and cats. Flint is a playful, sweet puppy looking for a family to bond with and help teach him the ropes so he can grow into a well-mannered gentleman. He has the typical rambunctiousness of a Doberman puppy, but is smart and eager to please.   Foster Profile:   Flint is super sweet, he’s very energetic and LOVES to play. His favorite toys are anything he can chase and catch! He is highly food motivated, making training sessions easy and fun, though he will need someone patient to keep training fun and exciting for him. He is great with other dogs; he plays rough with smaller dogs and does need a bit of management when he disregards social cues. I chalk this up to his puppy brain. lol H e’s a very rambunctious puppy!  We are looking for a single family home with breed experience and a securely fenced yard for Flint. He is a high energy boy that needs a job -- He would make a great running buddy he is a sprinter and loves to go fast. He would love to go on adventures with you! We are not considering apartments for him at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus in Modesto, CA. They will be transferred via START, arriving to foster care on 5/14/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 31, 2026, 9:51 pm

Story
Animal Information: Alfalfa is a handsome 2.5 year-old, 50-pound, male Doberman Pinscher mix with the sweetest presence to match his good looks. He was at risk at the Stanislaus shelter, and after seeing his notes and videos we knew we had to save him. According to staff, this sweetheart absolutely loves attention and is always happy to soak up affection from his people. He's patient in his kennel, easy to leash, and walks nicely on leash with only minor pulling. Once he's in the yard, his playful side shines -- get ready for some serious zoomies! Alfalfa enjoy being pet all over and is especially a fan of booty scratches. While he can be a little jumpy when excited, he listens well to "no" and "down", already knows how to sit and is eager to please. As a bonus, he's incredibly photogenic and always camera-ready! Foster Profile:   Alfalfa ("Alfie") is a sweet boy with lots of love to give! He is energetic but not 'wild' and would make a great hiking or jogging buddy. He loves fetch in the yard, going on walks, and hanging out with his people getting pets and love. He is good in his crate, but can be vocal when left alone, so would do best in a house where there are often people around. He is potty trained, and rides well in the car. He plays well with all sorts of other dogs, and is great with children (at least as young as 4). He tolerates cats in the home just fine. He has a loyal and protective instinct, and needs to personally inspect anyone who comes to the house. However, once told that the new human is "safe" he becomes very friendly. His instinct is to pull on leash to greet other dogs, but can be redirected fairly easily. He's very smart and eager to please and learn. His happy place is being snuggled up with the humans he trusts!  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus shelter in Modesto, Calfornia  via START, arriving to foster care on 1/15 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 31, 2026, 9:51 pm
