Meet Bada🩵 Last June, Bada came to Korean city shelter with broken legs. We rescued him and had him surgery. He recovered very well and became healthy!! He runs around without any problems. :) -People: He loves people so much. He always welcomes people with his bright smile. He likes to be with people but also he enjoys alone time. Never aggressive to people. -Dogs: He reacts to roughhousing so you need to be careful. But much better after getting professional training. -Walk: He's a good walker on a leash. (He doesn’t pull the leash)

Meet Sarang ❤️ She is such an energetic and lively puppy! She is a big girl but she does so well living in small dog living quarters! Social with both people and dogs. 100 out of 100! 😆 * She needs some training for going for walks. She goes for walks but she crouches in fear when a car or motorcycle goes by. 😥 * She's affectionate! She loves people so much 💕 Anyone who wants to be with this lovely baby puppy from the start, apply today!!

Story
Meet Mina🩷 Mina came to Korean city shelter by herself. In contrast to her tough and strong appearance, she is timid and mild-tempered, but maybe because of her large sized body, she has been waiting for her family for a long time. She may have a lot to learn but she deserves to be loved!! We are waiting for her family who can wait and give so much love to her who is waiting for a family for so long. * She likes people and wary of them at the same time. She gets scared easily and is a shy girl. Can get scared of a sudden touch but doesn’t avoid soft touches and stays calm. Secretly likes human touches.😊 *Mina needs to be cared in a clean environment but with Center’s muddy and dirt ground touching her legs, her skin discoloration is not improving. *Likes to dig the dirt!❤️ *Gets along well with other doggy friends. She always hangs out with them and accepts other pups nibbling her.🐶 *Can eat food without being picky or complaint, and absolutely loves her treats.🍠 * Because she's scared, she barks when strangers come. But she has never shown any aggressive behavior! Just a scared girl.

Story
Animal Profile: Bingo is a young male blue Doberman who was picked up as a stray in Bakersfield and taken to the overcrowded shelter where he was euthanasia listed for space. The shelter estimated his age as two based on a quick exam, but in foster care he appears to be less than one year old. At the shelter, he was pretty shy and shut down, which is typical for the breed, but still friendly to people and dogs. He joined us on 11/27/22 and we will share more info as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: Bingo is a young and active boy; he loves to play with other dogs and is friendly with all people, although he can be shy upon first meeting. He is currently being fostered with other dogs and young kids and gets along well with everyone. Bingo can be possessive of his food and toys, and should be fed separately from other dogs until he knows his place in the pack. Bingo has no issues resource guarding with people. He currently eats his meals by hand during training or from a slow feed bowl in his crate. He has been to doggy daycare playgroups with large groups of dogs of all sizes and done well with everyone. Bingo is potty trained, and walks well on leash with a confident handler. He’d be an excellent jogging, hiking or biking companion! This young and active boy is so very handsome and has a typical Doberman velcro personality. He also loves his sweater and curling up into little spaces. Bingo does have prey drive and will need a home without cats. Bingo is also very vocal in the crate without a training collar; he may do okay in a kennel run but that wouldn't be an option in inclement weather. He would not be suitable in an apartment or space with shared walls. Adopter Profile: Real talk, Bingo has been adopted and returned 3x, two of the adopters had him less than 72 hours. He has spent most of the last 9 months in the Director's house with 6 dogs and three kids under 4. He's a nice dog but he's not an easy dog. With that said, do you have the patience of a Saint? Better yet, are you a long lost relative of the actual Mother Theresa? Alternatively, are you deaf? If so you could be an ideal fit for Bingo. Problem #1) Bingo has major FOMO. He will let you know by barking his head off. He is e-collar trained but many folks aren't into using a bark collar (unless you like to get sleep or not listen to barking all day). Bingo is fine with a bark collar on, but if you don't put it on or forget to charge it, he will quickly remind you the second you don't include him in something he thinks he should be included in. He may eventually be OK to be left outside the crate, but one of his three adoption returns stated that when left alone he ate the carpet. He doesn't really have separation anxiety because he's actually very good in the crate when he knows it's non-optional. It's the options, for him, that are troubling. Problem #2) Also, another conundrum: Bingo LOVES to play with other dogs and is actually very social. But he's a bit of a punk and will posture over toys and even thresholds (doorways). He would benefit (for his own psyche) from a pack, but is a lot to manage. Luckily he has easy tells; if you know dogs you can see when he starts being a stinker and quickly interrupt it. He's never caused harm to another dog. But he's not a Kumbaya dog. His best match will be a very confident male or female of any size. Second best match would be a super beta dog. Problem #3) Finally, Bingo loves attention and to snuggle and all the Doberman things. But the more you do of this the worse problems 1 and 2 get. So, there's that. His best attribute? He has zero human aggression. Even when wrestling him like a bear for a bath, he has never offered to bite. So at least he has that going for him. We know his unicorn is out there. * fingers crossed * Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter (neutered Dec 2022), core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Story
Animal Profile: Rainy joined us from Bakersfield on 9/17. She is estimated to be a 2-year-old Doberman and has natural ears and a docked tail. She weighs 60 lbs and is friendly with people and other dogs. She’s been kenneled with multiple dogs at the Bakersfield shelter, and is a staff favorite with her friendly smile and wiggly little nub-tailed butt. Foster Update: Rainy is a sweet girl with an old soul. She is submissive when meeting new people and does well with other dogs with proper introductions. She is currently in a home with another male Doberman and a small Chihuahua mix. Rainy can be a little sassy with other dogs about her space in the crate (she doesn't like to be crowded) but she has not had any issues with that outside of her kennel. Though she tolerates the other dogs, I do think she would enjoy being an only. In typical Doberman fashion, she is a silent shadow that would love to be attached to your leg all day if possible. She is house and crate trained, and walks well on leash. Rainy is nervous about big city noises (buses, trucks, construction) so she would do best in single-family dwelling. Rainy is sweet with the dog-respectful 3.5 year old girl in our home, and would be fine with other children who have lived with dogs. We would like to see her in a home with large breed experience; no first time dog owners please! Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. He was originally picked up as a stray in Georgia and joined us from via Project Freedom Ride. He was evaluated to be very friendly with dogs and people. Foster Update: Copper is young and full of energy, but it's easy to wear him out with some exercise. He loves to chase balls, although he is still working on returning and dropping them. Copper can be cautious around new people, but once he warms up to them (or they give him a treat), he is very affectionate. He is able to make friends with other dogs after slow and proper introductions. With a confident handler, Copper doesn't react much to other dogs when on leash. He likes to lead but does not pull on walks. Adopter Profile: Single family dwelling with a securely fenced yard. No cats or small animals. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the huge fees they take from the rescue. Talk about right place at the right time yet again with our foster mum & for the very cute Mickey. This is another one of those disgusting stories of people letting him down, plus so very sad for Mickey. But in the same breath it was a good thing. Our foster mum was at one of the very high kill shelters in CA rescuing a sweet soul a while ago for us when a lady & her young daughter were surrendering Mickey because they were moving. The daughter was hugging Mickey as he was her as he was terrified & she was so very upset & crying. The daughters mother said they were moving & found a place where there was no dogs allowed so she was dropping him off. They had, had Mickey since he was a young puppy she said. She did not really care for poor Mickey & the daughter was begging for them not to drop him off at the shelter when our foster mum reached out to us so we could help him so he didn’t have to go into the dreaded shelter & possibly not come out of there alive. We are so grateful to have saved Mickey because he is not the dog you see today who was surrendered to us, emotionally or physically. Without our outstanding foster mum this would not of happened & who knows what would of happened to this poor boy because he was clearly mistreated. He was also not medically looked after at all. That was all on our shoulders to take care of. Mickey who is now looking for his very own forever home & who will never give up on him again & dump him & love him just as we do. Mickey was bought back to WA state from CA where we got all of his medical taken care of & he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. How on earth anyone could let Mickey down is beyond us. Especially since the previous people had him for so long, it’s shocking. Mickey just wants to be loved & look look out, once you love him back you will have a new best friend for life. Disturbing to think of what almost happened to him. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA. Mickey is not the same dog we rescued. It was quite evident that he had been mistreated & was not looked after. His nails were so long we had no idea how he could walk & he was so very untrusting of people in the beginning & was reactive out of fear & what was going to happen to him. Now this boy knows what it’s like to be loved. He is so very sweet & wants you to cuddle him & love him & adore him. In the beginning his new family will just need to go slow with him & not surprise him at all from the back or anything silly. We must say, he loved the little girl in the family & did not want to leave her, of course he didn’t when he was being dumped. He has done so well now with our vets & everyone there. Once we put him into a daycare he has grown so much in confidence wise since being there with the dogs & men he is around. In the daycare he has been around countless breeds of dogs. He is still learning to walk on a leash & is doing well considering. Mickey is a good eater, he loves to eat & put on a few pounds since being rescued. Mickey’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for his safety. Mickey has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued & he was quite filthy when our foster mum originally got him. Mickey rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & enjoys looking out the window & going places with you. We are looking for a forever home for Mickey where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lad only. Mickey is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Mickey has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. He can be the king of the home or there can be other dogs in the home. Mickey is roughly 3 years old & 13 lbs & is perhaps a miniature pincher, but what he is mixed with we are not sure at all. He is male, neutered by laser by our wonderful vets. Mickey is heart worm negative, had a dental scale & polish & dental x-rays. He is microchipped, given flea treatment, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Mickey, with all of his medical care than his adoption fee comes close to even covering, his neuter by laser, all of his shots, dental/scale & polish, boarding fees, testing him for heart worm, microchip, transport fees bringing him back to WA state, etc. Mickey has been around cats since being in the rescue in his foster home & could care less about the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children in the rescue so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Mickey was conceived so we do not know who both his parents were, but it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Mickey’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Mickey potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Mickey has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Mickey & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Mickey who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this beautiful soul of a lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Mickey has an adoption fee of $885 & his adoption fee does not come close to what we have spent on this beautiful boy. Mickey is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
