If you love Scooby Doo, Boyd could be your next best friend. He is big, but not brave. He is loyal and loving, playful and silly. And he loves snacks! All Boyd wants from life is to be a companion. He loves people and enjoys making new friends. He will welcome guests into his home and will also be happy to greet people out in public. He is a bit nervous meeting small children but does well meeting older children. He enjoys going for walks and is pretty easy to handle on leash. Boyd is bright and enjoys training. It combines his love of attention with his love of food. We think Boyd might be a good service dog candidate. He needs a lot of interaction and mental stimulation. Boyd is interested in playing with other dogs. He is a bit nervous with meeting dogs, but he relaxes once he decides they aren't going to hurt him. He seems to have no clue about his size. Boyd finds cats interesting, but is also a bit afraid of them. Boyd's shelter paperwork says he is 2. His behavior suggests he is closer to 1. He weighs 90 pounds and is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is also microchipped. He is crate trained, house trained and knows how to use a dog door. He has been DNA tested. Boyd is currently with his foster family in Lake Stevens. He would love to meet you. Be sure to bring Scooby snacks!

Meet Tarzan!Tarzan is a 65 lbs, 3 year old Doberman pincher mix, he needs a loving family with time to give him belly rubs. Tarzan is crate trained, he needs a private outdoor space to go potty because he won’t go #2 on leash. Balls and Frisbee’s don’t really capture his attention. Tarzan is one of the most lovable dogs I’ve met. But gets overly protective of his owners often times making it difficult for him to socialize with other dogs. He is currently medicated with an anti itch and anti-anxiety medication as prescribed by his vet. All paperwork including updated vaccinations will be included. Animal Information: Alfalfa is a handsome 2.5 year-old, 50-pound, male Doberman Pinscher mix with the sweetest presence to match his good looks. He was at risk at the Stanislaus shelter, and after seeing his notes and videos we knew we had to save him. According to staff, this sweetheart absolutely loves attention and is always happy to soak up affection from his people. He's patient in his kennel, easy to leash, and walks nicely on leash with only minor pulling. Once he's in the yard, his playful side shines -- get ready for some serious zoomies! Alfalfa enjoy being pet all over and is especially a fan of booty scratches. While he can be a little jumpy when excited, he listens well to "no" and "down", already knows how to sit and is eager to please. As a bonus, he's incredibly photogenic and always camera-ready! Foster Profile: Alfalfa ("Alfie") is a sweet boy with lots of love to give! He is energetic but not 'wild' and would make a great hiking or jogging buddy. He loves fetch in the yard, going on walks, and hanging out with his people getting pets and love. He is good in his crate, but can be vocal when left alone, so would do best in a house where there are often people around. He is potty trained, and rides well in the car. He plays well with all sorts of other dogs, and is great with children (at least as young as 4). He tolerates cats in the home just fine. He has a loyal and protective instinct, and needs to personally inspect anyone who comes to the house. However, once told that the new human is "safe" he becomes very friendly. His instinct is to pull on leash to greet other dogs, but can be redirected fairly easily. He's very smart and eager to please and learn. His foster home had a lot of animals, so he hasn’t had much experience yet with walks or outings, but he’s done great living with small dogs and cats. Flint is a playful, sweet puppy looking for a family to bond with and help teach him the ropes so he can grow into a well-mannered gentleman. He has the typical rambunctiousness of a Doberman puppy, but is smart and eager to please. Foster Profile: Flint is super sweet, he’s very energetic and LOVES to play. His favorite toys are anything he can chase and catch! He is highly food motivated, making training sessions easy and fun, though he will need someone patient to keep training fun and exciting for him. Animal Profile: Taylor's story began in October 2024 when she appeared on a rural property in Wapato with her nine puppies. The property owner was unwilling to feed or care for the family and threatened to let them starve. A rescue contact reached out for help, and because Taylor and her puppies were left outside exposed to the elements, they were brought into rescue together. After spending a year in rescue, Taylor was adopted but was recently returned due to low-level nipping behaviors toward unfamiliar people approaching her space. With a newborn in the home and frequent visitors, her adopters felt they weren't able to provide the management and training she needed to be successful. Taylor is looking for an experienced home with someone familiar with large working breeds who understands the importance of advocating for her space, respecting her boundaries, and allowing her to build trust with new people at her own pace. She is a favorite among rescue volunteers, who regularly take her on walks, and she absolutely loves getting out for a long stroll or adventures. Foster Update: Taylor is a smart, engaging, and affectionate girl who loves spending time with her people. She has excellent manners in the home--she doesn't counter surf, respects kitchen boundaries, and is mindful of the toddler in her foster home. While Taylor can share space with other dogs, she doesn't particularly enjoy their company and would be happiest as the only dog in the home. She is house-trained, settles nicely in a solid-sided kennel, and can be talkative when left alone, so she's best suited for a single-family home rather than an apartment. Taylor is looking for a family with a securely fenced yard and experience with large-breed dogs. She has a very high prey drive and cannot be placed in a home with cats or other small animals.
