Story
Animal Information: Flint is a 6 month old Doberman mix rescued by a Good Samaritan in SoCal. His foster home had a lot of animals, so he hasn’t had much experience yet with walks or outings, but he’s done great living with small dogs and cats. Flint is a playful, sweet puppy looking for a family to bond with and help teach him the ropes so he can grow into a well-mannered gentleman. He has the typical rambunctiousness of a Doberman puppy, but is smart and eager to please.   Foster Profile:   Flint is super sweet, he’s very energetic and LOVES to play. His favorite toys are anything he can chase and catch! He is highly food motivated, making training sessions easy and fun, though he will need someone patient to keep training fun and exciting for him. He is great with other dogs; he plays rough with smaller dogs and does need a bit of management when he disregards social cues. I chalk this up to his puppy brain. lol H e’s a very rambunctious puppy!  We are looking for a single family home with breed experience and a securely fenced yard for Flint. He is a high energy boy that needs a job -- He would make a great running buddy he is a sprinter and loves to go fast. He would love to go on adventures with you! We are not considering apartments for him at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus in Modesto, CA. They will be transferred via START, arriving to foster care on 5/14/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 20, 2026, 11:27 pm

Story
Animal Information: Alfalfa is a handsome 2.5 year-old, 50-pound, male Doberman Pinscher mix with the sweetest presence to match his good looks. He was at risk at the Stanislaus shelter, and after seeing his notes and videos we knew we had to save him. According to staff, this sweetheart absolutely loves attention and is always happy to soak up affection from his people. He's patient in his kennel, easy to leash, and walks nicely on leash with only minor pulling. Once he's in the yard, his playful side shines -- get ready for some serious zoomies! Alfalfa enjoy being pet all over and is especially a fan of booty scratches. While he can be a little jumpy when excited, he listens well to "no" and "down", already knows how to sit and is eager to please. As a bonus, he's incredibly photogenic and always camera-ready! Foster Profile:   Alfalfa ("Alfie") is a sweet boy with lots of love to give! He is energetic but not 'wild' and would make a great hiking or jogging buddy. He loves fetch in the yard, going on walks, and hanging out with his people getting pets and love. He is good in his crate, but can be vocal when left alone, so would do best in a house where there are often people around. He is potty trained, and rides well in the car. He plays well with all sorts of other dogs, and is great with children (at least as young as 4). He tolerates cats in the home just fine. He has a loyal and protective instinct, and needs to personally inspect anyone who comes to the house. However, once told that the new human is "safe" he becomes very friendly. His instinct is to pull on leash to greet other dogs, but can be redirected fairly easily. He's very smart and eager to please and learn. His happy place is being snuggled up with the humans he trusts!  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus shelter in Modesto, Calfornia  via START, arriving to foster care on 1/15 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 20, 2026, 11:27 pm

Story
Animal Information: Black Betty, Atlas, Morrigan,, Vesper and Raven are Dobermans with natural ears and tails. They were born in foster care in Modesto, and the shelter staff wanted to avoid putting them into a kennel environment, so they reached out to see if we could help. How could we say no? These puppies are healthy, social, and will be large breed dogs that would do best in homes with working breed experience, in single family residences with fenced yards. We will not be considering apartment homes at this time. Foster Profile: Meet Betty! A spunky and affectionate 5.5 month old Doberman puppy just begging for you to take her home. She spends most of her days hanging out with animals of many varieties. Her playmates being dogs, chickens and goats. She also loves her clothing. If the weather is under 65 she’ll practically beg for a coat! If shes not too busy playing with her friends she’s probably enjoying a nice walk. Betty loves to go out into public and make friends with anyone who’ll let her. We are only considering homes with working breed experience, single family residences with fenced yards, and another canine companion. We will not be considering apartment homes at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Story
Animal Profile: Taylor's story began in October 2024 when she appeared on a rural property in Wapato with her nine puppies. The property owner was unwilling to feed or care for the family and threatened to let them starve. A rescue contact reached out for help, and because Taylor and her puppies were left outside exposed to the elements, they were brought into rescue together. After spending a year in rescue, Taylor was adopted but was recently returned due to low-level nipping behaviors toward unfamiliar people approaching her space. With a newborn in the home and frequent visitors, her adopters felt they weren't able to provide the management and training she needed to be successful. Taylor is looking for an experienced home with someone familiar with large working breeds who understands the importance of advocating for her space, respecting her boundaries, and allowing her to build trust with new people at her own pace. She is a favorite among rescue volunteers, who regularly take her on walks, and she absolutely loves getting out for a long stroll or adventures. Foster Update:  Taylor spent her first year with the rescue in a home with other dogs and a toddler, whom she loved.  While Taylor can share space with other dogs, she doesn't particularly enjoy their company and would be happiest as the only dog in the home. She is house-trained, settles nicely in a solid-sided kennel, but can be talkative when left alone, so she's best suited for a single-family home rather than an apartment. She has a very high prey drive and cannot be placed in a home with cats or other small animals. Taylor has good basic obedience skills, including sit, down and place. She walks in a nice heel with a training collar, and would love to join a home with Doberman breed or similar experience. Adoption Info: Taylor's adoption fee is $575 which includes his neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Taylor and her 9 puppies are being surrendered to Dog Gone Seattle from their owner in Eastern Wa. They arrive to foster care 10/11/24 and will be available for adoption once we confirm they are healthy and well.August 20, 2026, 11:27 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Apollo was adopted as a puppy in 2018. He was well loved and cared for by a wonderful member of the dog community here in WA. Unfortunately, due to a tragic accident, his owner passed away and Apollo has returned to the rescue. We are committed to finding him a new home that will uphold the standard of love and care Apollo received from his previous owner. Apollo is crate trained, house trained, and friendly with other dogs. In true Doberman form, he can be watchful of strangers, but does make friends easily. Apollo has great manners inside and outside the home, and will be a wonderful companion to one lucky family. Foster Update:  Apollo is a loyal, intelligent Doberman looking for a calm and committed home where he can enjoy his golden years with someone special. Having spent his life as a cherished companion, Apollo is ready to build a meaningful bond with a person who values patience, trust, and companionship. Once you've earned his loyalty, he is deeply devoted and eager to please. Apollo is an easy dog to live with. He is house-trained, crate-trained, knows his basic commands, and walks beautifully on leash. He has excellent manners in and out of the home and enjoys a predictable, low-key environment where he can relax and be part of the family. While Apollo currently lives alongside other dogs and is generally friendly, he prefers to do his own thing and does not actively seek out canine companionship. He would be happiest as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the attention and affection from his people. Apollo cannot live with cats or other small animals due to his high prey drive. Like many Dobermans, he can be watchful around strangers at first, but he warms up quickly and makes friends easily. If you're looking for a loyal, steadfast companion to share life's quieter moments, Apollo may be your perfect match. He has so much love left to give and deserves a family who will make his senior years the best years yet. Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Apollo is a WA state owner surrender who joined our rescue on 04/26/25.  August 20, 2026, 11:27 pm

Story
Animal Information: Matilda and her brother Edison are almost ten-month-old siblings of an accidental litter of five puppies in Fontana Valley. Mom is a Doberman and dad is a shepherd. The owner reached out for support and the Lange Foundation stepped in to assist with vetting and rescue placement. These puppies (now 10 months) are social and friendly based on temperament assessments. They've had limited backyard life to date but have done well going to the vet and with rescue assessments.  The owner reports Matilda (currently 35 lbs) is generally calm and does well with dogs she's met. She is the most playful of the group and loves to chase balls and other dogs.  We look forward to getting to know Matilda in foster care. Foster Profile: She is doing well with other dogs but takes her time warming up to new people and environments. Once she feels safe, her sweet and goofy personality really starts to shine. She is comfortable in her crate when people are home, but if left alone for more than about three hours, she may try to escape. She did manage to break out of a wire crate once, but after reinforcing it with zip ties, there haven't been any additional escape attempts. She is making steady progress on leash walking but isn't quite ready for long walks, especially in busy areas. She may still benefit from being double-leashed for added security while she continues to build confidence. She loves to snuggle and has a wonderfully silly side. She's also picking up the basics—she responds to her name, mostly understands that "no" means no, and is well on her way to learning "sit." Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from the Lange Foundation in CA via START transport and will arrive in Seattle 06/25. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 20, 2026, 11:27 pm
