Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! She’s smart, engaged, and already knows several commands, including sit, shake, and down. She’s the kind of dog who truly wants to connect with her handler. We’re pretty sure he’s had a home before, as his sweet manners and gentle nature shine through. Chango is an old soul with the most loving brown eyes and floppy ears. He may be a little shy at first and still needs some confidence building with new places and city noises, but once he opens up, his playful, goofy, and bouncy side comes out. He’s easy-going, walks well on leash, and rides nicely in the car. He can be a strong boy at times and a little stubborn, but he knows some basic commands, is treat-motivated, and eager to please. Chango loves other dogs and would be so happy to have a canine friend in the home, though he could also do well as an only dog if his adopters continue his socialization and give him plenty of playdates. At home, he’s a total snugglebug—he loves toys, curling up on the couch, and taking cozy naps with a favorite toy by his side. Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about.
