Story
🐾 Meet Homer! 🐾Approx. 2–3 years old | German Shepherd Mix | Neutered | Microchipped | Up to Date on VaccinesSay hello to Homer — a handsome German Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality once he feels comfortable! Homer came to us as a stray with his friend Marge, so we don’t know much about his past — but one thing’s for sure, he’s ready for a loving new beginning. At first, Homer may be a little reserved while he checks out new people and surroundings, but once he warms up, his sweet, playful side shines through. He’s a smart boy who appears to be housetrained and doesn’t seem to be a big barker — always a nice bonus!Homer recently had surgery to correct entropion, a condition that caused his eyelids to roll inward and irritate his eyes. He’s healing beautifully and feeling so much more comfortable now — ready to see the world clearly and enjoy life to the fullest! He would do best in a home where he can continue to build confidence and get plenty of love, playtime, and guidance. If you have other dogs, a meet and greet is required to make sure everyone gets along. We’re not sure how he does with cats.If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who’s ready to be your best buddy, Homer just might be your guy! 💙📞 Interested in meeting Homer?Call 928-636-4223 ext. 7 to schedule an appointment and see if he’s the perfect fit for your family!

Story
Meet Dash! 🐕Dash is an approximately 1.5-year-old large mixed breed dog with a big personality and an even bigger love for adventure. He’s high energy and independent, always ready to explore what’s around him. Dash would make an excellent hiking buddy or thrive in a home with a large property where he can safely run, roam, and satisfy his curious nature.Because we’re unsure how Dash does with other dogs, a meet and greet with any potential canine siblings is required to ensure a good match. With the right environment and structure, Dash has the potential to be a wonderful companion for an active household.Dash is neutered, microchipped and up to date on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations. If you’re looking for an energetic, adventurous dog who’s ready to experience the world by your side, Dash may be the one for you!📞 Interested in meeting Dash? Please call the Chino Valley Animal Shelter at 928-636-4223, ext. 7 to schedule an appointment.

Story
Ollie is a 5 year old mixed breed (we think he might be a kelpie) rescue from Skull Valley, AZ. He is a very very sweet boy when he’s alone, but after having our son and the addition of our second dog, he has become extremely anxious and has growled at our son a few times (from a distance) which makes us a bit nervous. We now keep the dogs separate from our son during the day. He would probably be best suited in a home without other dogs or kids. He is a very sweet boy, and he is extremely smart. While it would be heartbreaking to rehome him, our schedules are extremely busy and he deserves a home in which he gets the attention he deserves.

Story
Meet Leo 🐾 Approx. 3-month-old | Black & White Cattle Dog / Pit Bull Mix PuppyLeo is an adorable, sweet, and playful puppy who’s ready to wiggle his way into your heart! Like most pups his age, Leo is still learning the ropes and is not quite house-trained yet, but with patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement, he’ll get there in no time.Leo is looking for a home that understands normal puppy behavior and is willing to put in the time to help him grow into the very best dog he can be. He loves to play, explore, and soak up affection—and he’ll thrive with adopters committed to training, structure, and fun.Medical & Care Info:Has received his first DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations. Future vaccinations will be needed at the adopter's expense.Scheduled to be neutered, microchipped, and receive his rabies vaccination on 03/18/26.Leo may be adopted prior to his neuter appointment, with the adopter being required to drop him off at Chino Valley Animal Hospital for this scheduled appointment.Special Notes:Leo is bow-legged, and while future veterinary intervention may or may not be needed once he’s fully grown, current X-rays show nothing concerning. Maintaining a healthy, proper weight will be very important to help minimize stress on his joints as he grows. If you’re ready for the joyful chaos of puppyhood and want to help Leo become a confident, happy adult dog, he may be the perfect match for you 💙📞 Interested in meeting Leo?Please call to schedule an appointment: 928-636-4223 ext. 7Leo can’t wait to meet his future family! 🐶✨
