We got an email back in August 2021 asking if we could rescue a sweet dog that had been dumped in a tract near a housing complex. Despite our kennels being full, something told us we needed to make an exception for this one. So we went and got her. And boy, are we glad we did! We had no clue at the time that she was pregnant, but lo and behold, her tummy started growing overnight, and she gave birth to nine healthy puppies on October 18, 2021, all of whom have found the most awesome forever homes! Now it’s Mama Bristol’s turn! Bristol is the kind of dog you wish you always had. She is so loving and so friendly and so easy-going. You just can’t help but fall in love with her! She can be elegant and a goof at the same time! She is funny and very energetic, and ready for any adventure. She needs an active family willing to help guide her to be the best version of herself. She is super smart and learns quickly. Bristol is a Pitbull, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, and Husky mix (we had one of her puppies genetically tested). She has recently been diagnosed with Epilepsy that is controlled with medication and routine testing, but she has a full life ahead of her, and we cannot wait to see her flourish in her forever home! Please note: All current AND previous pets (cats and dogs) MUST be up to date on vaccines and be spayed/neutered. Please check with your landlord, if you rent, for breed and weight restrictions before applying. We do not allow visitors unless you are an approved adopter. Story
Camy is a 7-year-old Border Collie/Husky Mix. She came to us through a Good Samaritan who found her left in a dog park. We found several posts online showing she had been spotted several times across town for 3-4 weeks before finally being found in the dog park. Her previous owners never claimed her. We had no clue she was pregnant until her belly grew into a watermelon-sized ball, seemingly overnight! She gave birth to 9 healthy puppies who have all been adopted by the most wonderful families. Camy is the sweetest, most lovable girl with very high energy. She does not like to be kenneled and only wants to go for walks or play. She needs a family with a very active lifestyle and/or another very active dog with a similar energy type to ensure a happy forever after. She gets along with most dogs but can be picky about others. She would be best suited for older kids. A very secure yard/play area is a must because she is an escape artist and will take off if she feels like it. This behavior will, most likely, subside once she has a family that can satisfy her need for attention and exercise. All current AND previous pets (cats and dogs) MUST be up to date on vaccines and be spayed/neutered. Please check with your landlord, if you rent, for breed and weight restrictions before applying.
