You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.UPDATE: Big Papi was adopted this year, but we recently learned he was in a local shelter; we bailed him out and attempted to contact the owner but he is not responding. He has had way too much drama in his little life and now he needs to find a real, permanent home.Big Papi’s story is one we see far too often. He was left behind due to a medical condition his owner either couldn’t afford or chose not to address. He was discovered at a veterinarian’s office after receiving a call (from the possible owner) saying he’d been left at their back door. Despite efforts, Big Papi’s owner was never located. Despite that rough goodbye, this sweet 7âyearâold boy has shown nothing but gentleness. He did have a small tumor, but it was removed with no lasting issues. What remains is a tenderhearted little guy who’s understandably a bit shy at first. Once he realizes you’re safe, he allows handling with no hesitation—he just needs a moment to trust.Big Papi gets along well with other dogs and has even started venturing out on walks. He’s ready for a home where he can take his time, settle in, and finally feel like he belongs. Are you the one who can show him that people can be kind, patient, and forever?GrandPaws applies to any dog age 7 years or older. He was previously adopted from CVRR, however turned up in a local shelter. We're unsure why he wasn't reclaimed but his story will not end at that. Lance brings love and joy like a classic tv show dog. Invest in him to see what we're crazy about! Recycled Rescues are previously adopted dogs who, through no fault of their own, need a chance to start over in a new home. Recycled dogs come with significant advantages; many are well socialized and have good house manners. Her Highness has the cutest, attention grabbing bark that you just can't ignore. She would love to play in the yard but has been recovering from surgery for a few weeks now. Maxine hopes to find a home she can rule where the snacks are plentiful, the naps are endless and the love and attention are all hers. She is still in recovery and needs to go slow at getting back to it. Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes.
