Story
Hi there! I`m Pringles, the 63lb sweet pup who`s been on quite the journey! I originally arrived as a lost dog & was never claimed. I was treated for heartworms and then landed in a fosterhome (as I am quite the volunteer favorite). Humans just seem to gravitate towards me, and I feel the same way about them. I`ve been in playgroups here at the shelter and I prefer polite dogs my size rather than those wee ones or those pisky rowdy puppies. My foster parent said I`m a cuddle bug who adores sunbathing and giving kisses. Playing fetch? Still working on that one. Car rides and long walks? Count me in! I`m a people-pup through and through, eager to find my forever home where I can be someone`s loyal shadow!

Story
I`m Avery! I`m 62lbs of glorious goofball! I was found wandering around and no one ever came forward to claim me as their own so now I wait for another family to chose me. Some say black dogs are the hardest to adopt out from animal shelters as we are boring looking. Well, I am here to tell you there is nothing boring about my antics. I have a delightful smile, I can do expert level zoomings and depending on the toy, I can show you exactly how it should be played with! Of course I enjoy going on walks, perhaps riding in the car and I love treats, I`m not picky - I will take a marshmallow, a carrot or a piece of cheese all with the same vigor. My passion for food also makes me an easy dog to train! I get along with other dogs and any just about anyone who offers me a treat. I show signs of having lived in a home before so I likely have some manners and housetraining on board. If you are looking for a goofy, shiny girl that will sure to put a smile on your face, take me home today!

Story
I`m Chuck! I`m 65lbs. I was found when FSU police were going through an abandoned building and they found me tied to a bed post. I was in good shape so its likely I wasn`t there for long and was perhaps left by someone who was living there. I am a happy boy who enjoys plenty of attention from people. Other dogs are fine and I get along with them well but I`m here for the people. I`m am gentle at times, I have some manners and I appear to have some housetraining too. I`m looking for someone who will be my everything where I can greet them every day with a lean, kisses and soulful eyes. I promise to be the bestest most loyal dog ever! If you are looking for your equivalent of a dog soulmate, I`m the perfect candidate!

Story
I`m Maggie, I`m a medium sized gal at about 50 lbs. I`m in foster care after being at the shelter since July 2023. My foster parent says I`m a super sweet, smart girl whose favorite way to spend the evening is snuggling with my human on the couch. I love to run, play fetch, and explore, especially with a doggie friend who matches my energetic spirit. I`m a quick learner, already crate trained, potty trained, and know basic commands. I get along with my foster parent`s cat and I`ve gone through basic doggie manners which has helped build my confidence. Speaking of confidence, it takes me a little time to warm up to new people and things. My ideal person would be someone who sees my potential and will be patient as I come out of my shell. I`m longing for a forever home where I can feel safe and loved. Help continue to build my trust and confidence, and I promise to be the most loyal and loving companion you could wish for.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi! My name is Tinker. I’m a spayed female red merle Catahoula Hound mix living in a foster home. I was a stray but no one came to claim me. Staff think I am about 2 and 3/4 years old. (?)I`m an active, outgoing, inquisitive, sensitive pup, most likely a former country girl, ready for any adventure. I’m learning about suburban life while improving socialization skills through consistency and repetition in manners class and, occasionally, with play partner. I can self-entertain with toys, love to chew bones and don’t need to be crated if you are gone for a short while. Sniffing, searching for bugs in tall grasses and chase are favorite games, followed by a cool down in my kiddie pool. And, I bet I can out-walk you.I`m looking for a kind, patient, attentive owner, preferably one who is active, has a large yard, and will provide me with structure and continued training. Bicycles, runners and vehicles sometimes scare me, and as I am still learning to control my enthusiasm and may want to protect you, a gradual introduction to other dogs would be best. Currently I see cats as an opportunity to play chase. With time, lots of love and the right guidance, I`ll be your most loyal companion. I aim to please and generally respond to redirection and a tasty treat. If you`re ready to share your time and love shaping me into the perfect canine companion we can build a bond that lasts a lifetime. Are you my hero? I can`t wait to meet you and start our adventures together!
