Meet Willow! (Formerly Whiskey) This sweetheart is a 4 year old shepherd mix. She is a very sweet girl who is looking for her forever home for the holidays! She loves belly rubs and relaxing on a comfy dog bed. She is still learning how to play with toys but loves to run around! She does not have that crazy puppy energy anymore and does great in the car! Willow is good with dogs and cats and loves people. She is crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands. she is beginning work on getting her good canine citizenship certificate. He's the big boy of the bunch and his attitude is absolutely the same. He loves playing tug a war and wrestling around. He's very interested in our baby so thats something that would need worked on. So if you want to take Bear home and have little ones just be aware. He's great with our chickens and ducks although sometimes a bit interested in them. He's not a huge snuggler but does love to take naps on the floor... when/if you can tire him out... Bear would be a great pup if your looking for an energetic big boy.

Story

Bear is a very special dog who is friendly, outgoing, loyal, and served as his family’s watchful guardian. Bear’s family loved him very much, but due to a housing situation beyond their control, Bear has to come to SRAS. His former owners said that Bear seemed to have a sixth sense and would alert them when he didn’t like a visitor (this is the guardian breed DNA at work) but was never aggressive. He’s house trained, well-mannered, and knows several commands including sit, down, and come. He LOVES his kennel, playing fetch, all foods (if you leave it in his reach, it's fair game). Bear is a simple dude...he doesn’t need a blanket or a bed (he seems them as chew toys!) and would love to chill on your floor. He does really well with small dogs, but bigger dogs make him a little more stand offish.

This litter came to us from a truly unfair circumstance and despite what life has thrown at them, these pups remain sweet, gentle, and eager to trust. These pups were raised since 6-weeks-old in a boarding facility. They’ve never known a soft bed or the laughter around the TV at night. They are ready for the future! They have very loving personalities and come alive when they see other dogs. The boarding facility also had cats, so with a proper introduction, they will do well.

Surrendered due to owner's housing restriction on the number of dogs she could have. Aurora loves spending time outside and has lived as an inside/outside dog with a secure fence. She’s good with dogs and will play with cats if they will play with her! She’s lived her entire life with small kids under the age of one. Aurora’s MUST list includes lots of chew toys and bones so that her mouth is stimulated when she’s bored. She’s also been crate trained and we recommend that you crate her when you’re away with her favorite toys!
