Honeybee (Adoption Pending!)

Golden Retriever Hound (Unknown Type)

Female, 1 yr 7 mos
Cloverdale, IN
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Honeybee is an intriguing little dog. She resembles a miniature Golden Retriever and weighs in at only 30 lbs, so she's very petite. Honeybee is around 18 months old and seems to have a split personality. She is either melt-you-heart sweet or a complete stubborn hound intent on doing her own thing. Honeybee has a history of being hit on by a prior owner and she will flinch with sudden arm movements and is very leery of strangers. If she can initiate greetings with people then she does fine and is very sweet and loving but if she is approached by someone first she does have a bit of a meltown/anxiety attack. Honeybee gets along very well with other dogs and absolutely adores humans. She really is as sweet as honey most of the time, but does have a few quirks. Honeybee's adoption fee is $175 and includes spay, vaccinations, veterinary well visit and microchip. If you are interested in meeting Honeybee, please complete the application available from our website at www.4pups.org. ##1854928##

Story
Lucy is an active Mini American Shepherd mix, approximately 1 year old and ALL puppy!  She would make a great agility dog, or a dog for an active person. Her favorite toys are the disc and her ball. She loves fetch. She will need a fenced yard. I have no doubt she will follow you like a shadow once she is comfortable. She attaches to her human very quickly and craves attention. She would be better with a young dog who likes to play (a lot) or as an only dog. She was probably dumped and is now afraid of getting in the car, but she is getting better every day with short rides, knowing she is coming home. She has been around cats. She ignores my older cat, and probably would my younger one, if the cat would stop encouraging play! Lucy is an absolute sweetheart. If you are not knowledgeable about the breed, she is probably not the dog for you. If you are looking for an active dog that wants to be your best friend, then please apply for adoption.  Lucy is looking for her very own human. She has been spayed and microchipped and is up-to-date on all of her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $175.00. You can apply for Lucy online at www.4pups.org by clicking the Adopt button under her photo. ##1801248##

Story
Harper is a 13 year old chihuahua who came to our care when her owner had to go live in a nursing home. Harper had some pretty significant skin problems that are clearing up with medicated baths. She's a very easy girl. She mostly sleeps and pops up every now and then looking for some butt scratches. She would love to find a home where she can chill and get those butt scratches on the regular for her remaining years. If you'd like to spoil this sweet senior with the good life, please submit an application of interest by clicking the Adopt button under her photo on our website at www.4pups.org. ##1860420##

Story
Mantis and her siblings were found by a UPS delivery man on the side of the road in a cardboard box. The driver alerted a local rescue in southern Indiana who then contacted us to see if we could help. How could we say no??? The four siblings were covered with fleas and ticks, full of worms and had mange. They are now healthy and absolutely beautiful We are estimating their birthdate on or around May 10, 2023. Mantis' siblings have all found their forever homes and she's eagerly awaiting her own forever family. Mantis is a very sweet young girl and is making great progress on house training. She loves her humans and is very respectful of other animals, although dogs larger than her can be a bit intimidating when she first meets them.  Mantis would do best with a family of humans or at least one other dog in the house. She can be a bit fearful of new things so another confident dog in the house would be a plus. Mantis has had all of her necessary vaccines, a veterinary well vist and it microchipped and spayed. Her adopton fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Mantis, please visit our website at www.4pups.org to complete an application of interest by clicking the Adopt button under her phot.. ##1799684##

Daisy

Maltese Shih Tzu

Female, 5 yrs 10 mos
Cloverdale, IN
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Daisy is a fearful girl who was part of a hoarding situation. She enjoys snacks and running in and out of the dog door. She does not like petting or cuddling. Daisy would like a home with another dog who is laid back and doesn't mind the company. She does not want a home with children or a hyper dog. Daisy's ideal home is very quiet and willing to be patient with her issues. She prefers someone who doesn't mind putting her away when guests show up so that she doesn't try to bully them into leaving again.  Daisy's adoption fee is $75. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. ##1494404##

Betty (see also Bop)

Dachshund

Female, 9 yrs 2 mos
Cloverdale, IN
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs,
Story
Betty & Bop were found in a tote at a convenience store parking lot in northern Indiana. They were covered with fleas, malnourished and missing alot of their fur. After being taken to the local shelter, Betty contracted parvo. By the time she made it to us, she had been through a lot. You would never know it though as both Betty and Bop are cute, energetic, entertaining and very very loving. They do have a bit of "stranger danger" after their ordeal, but that is in the form of barking at any new person or dog that comes their way. However, it does not take them long to get used to new things and to return to being "normal" dogs. Betty & Bop are BONDED and will need to be adopted together. Betty is estimated to be around 9 years old and weighs 16 pounds, while Bop is younger (best guess is 5-7 years old) and only 7 lbs. The adoption fee for Betty & Bop together is $200.  If you are interested in meeting them, please fill out an application on our website at www.4pups.org and we will arrange a meet n greet if you are a match for them. As of right now, we are only considering potential adopters within 1 hour of Indianapolis as the girl's will be getting spayed on November 30th and Betty has a dental scheduled for December 29th. The girls will be fostered until adoption can be completed after all of their vetting is done. ##1854916##
