Story
Health Issues None Temperament - Playful and spirited girl. - People friendly. She may be a bit reserved when first meeting new people but warms up quickly. - Can exhibit some reactivity to other dogs when on-leash or behind a fence, but less as she’s gets older. - With proper introductions and supervised visits, she has enjoyed playtime with other dogs. She does best with calmer dogs that tolerate her rambunctious style of play - Very happy to relax and cuddle once she’s had her required amount of exercise. - Moderate-high prey drive. Likes to chase squirrels and birds. - Can be slightly destructive when bored. - Not much of a swimmer, but she enjoys playing in water. - Responds well to verbal cues and attempts to redirect her attention. - Her leash skills and basic obedience are good. She seems to enjoy one-on-one training sessions. Owner Suitability -Enjoys being a part of day-to-day activities and would benefit from a home in which people are around most of the day. -Would benefit from daily walks and opportunities to play throughout the day. - Loves to be off leash with people. - She would do best in a home with a fenced in yard as she is a curious girl and enjoys opportunities to explore. - Best suited to a home with no other dogs. - Can happily live in a home with cats. She does show occasional interest in playing, but is very respectful of the cat not wanting to engage.

Story
Looking for an ideal home for Enzo, a 4 year old (5 in April) Australian Cattle Dog, red heeler. He is a very smart, loyal companion, who needs lots of outdoor time, especially loves playing catch, so an ideal home would include a spacious backyard and even access to wilderness. Playing ball (catch) is definitely his favourite activity, and he is quite skilled at it. Regular walks have been part of his routine as well. Enzo is not friendly with other dogs, and has almost no experience with children. He can be aggressive towards some dogs and has shown resource protection reactivity. He has been leash trained, muzzle trained (for vet visits primarily) and listens to basic commands well (come, stay, sit, back, drop it, etc). Enzo very food motivated, so continued training is appropriate and recommended. Enzo is Very anxious in a moving vehicle and has had limited exposure to car rides as a result. He is great company at home and with consistent outdoor time is also a nice couch companion. He shows affection to his care giver, preferring male humans and is a great watch dog in the home. Those familiar with Australian Cattle Dogs, who have a large property would be ideal. Enzo is on epilepsy medication, which has been working very well, and has a cost of around $35 per month to obtain (with prescription). He has no dog food restrictions or other medical issues to report. Enzo has all his medical shots up to date, has been neutered and microchipped. This is a courtesy listing. If you are interested in providing Enzo with his forever home, please contact Stephen at (819) 319-0578 or thestephenmartin@gmail.com. Thank you!

Story
Sia is a sweet 1-year-old male Jindo mix, weighing about 16 kilos, and the brother of Joonsoo. With his gentle nature and loving personality, Sia is a dog who quickly wins hearts. Sia loves humans and cuddles. He enjoys being close to people and happily soaks up affection whenever it’s offered. He is also excellent with other dogs and shows no food aggression. When he first arrived he was very skinny, so he can still eat quite quickly — a habit from the time when meals were uncertain. As he settles into a stable home and routine, this usually improves. Like many rescue dogs, Sia has never lived inside a home before, so his future family will need to guide him through house training and daily routines. With gentle, calm training and consistency, he is expected to adapt well. He may also need some patient guidance to become fully comfortable walking on a leash. Sia can sometimes be a bit skittish around men, but with kindness and time he learns to trust. He is generally a quiet dog and rarely barks, though as a true Jindo he may alert his family if someone knocks on the door or rings the bell. He has balanced energy — happy to be active and explore outside on walks, but calm and relaxed once back at home. Sia would thrive with a patient, gentle family who can help him build confidence and show him that the world is a safe place. Sia is ready to give his heart to a family who will guide him with kindness and love.

Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster home Bruno is a two-year-old male Jindo mix with a friendly and cheerful personality. Weighing approximately 16 kg, he has the typical appearance of a Jindo, with an attractive face and an incredibly handsome appearance. As a puppy, Bruno was rescued in a severely malnourished and emaciated state after suffering from abuse and neglect. His condition was truly heartbreaking. However, with consistent love and care, he has transformed into a strong and healthy dog. Despite his difficult past, Bruno has never lost his cheerful spirit or his love for people. He enjoys human touch and often approaches people, seeking affection. He has little to no wariness of strangers, making him an open and friendly dog who quickly approaches people he has never met before. He generally gets along well with other dogs. However, he tends to play a little rough, particularly with his smaller friends. This behavior likely stems from his lack of proper socialization as a puppy. Due to his painful early life, he never had the chance to learn how to interact properly with other dogs. Bruno is now staying at a training center, where he is improving his social skills through daily interactions with various dogs. However, as he bonds deeply with his adopter and develops a strong sense of attachment, his love for people could manifest as jealousy or a protective instinct and this may lead to conflicts with other dogs. This is not because he has an aggressive nature, but rather because he loves people so much. Therefore, his adopter must provide clear and consistent training so that Bruno can continue to improve and grow into a great companion. Currently, Bruno goes outside for bathroom breaks three times a day and enjoys running freely with other dogs in the exercise yard. However, after adoption, he may have accidents due to environmental changes and adjustment periods. Once he becomes familiar with his new home, he should quickly adapt to an outdoor potty routine again. Bruno’s striking appearance is undeniable, but what truly makes him special is his warm heart and bright energy. He has overcome past hardships and grown into a strong, happy dog. Now, he is waiting for a loving adopter who will become his forever family.

Story
Hi… I’m Duri 🤍 Before I met kind people, I spent a long time on my own… without care, without warmth. I just endured each day the best I could. But things have changed now. I’ve been given a chance to start over— and I’m waiting for a family to share that new beginning with. Maybe… that could be you. People say I look strong and handsome. My thick fur, my clear eyes… sometimes I remind them of a brown husky. But what I really want you to see isn’t just how I look— It’s who I am. I like people. I really do. I’ll come up to you first, gently, hoping to connect. I enjoy being close, sharing quiet moments, feeling like I belong. I also get along well with other dogs. Being around friends feels natural to me, and I’m comfortable sharing space and energy with them. Inside me, I carry something special— the calm loyalty of an Akita, and the intelligence and quick learning of a Jindo. That means when I bond with you… it won’t be shallow. It will be deep. Steady. Unbreakable. But I’m still learning. Living in a home is new to me. Things like potty training, daily routines, and how to behave indoors—these are things you’ll need to teach me, step by step. Because I’m a strong and active dog, I’ll also need guidance on walks and basic manners. I want to do well—I just need someone to show me how. In the beginning, I might seem a little unsure. A new place, a new life… it can feel overwhelming. But if you stay patient, consistent, and kind with me, I will find my balance. I’m not a difficult dog— but I am a dog who needs understanding. Someone who won’t just “have” me, but will truly live with me. Teach me. Connect with me. If you can do that… I promise you something rare. A bond built on trust. A loyalty that doesn’t fade. A companion who stands by you, no matter what. I’ve already come so far from where I started. Now I just need a place to finally belong. No more loneliness. Just warmth… and you. Will you be my forever family? 🤍

Story
Hi… I’m Lora🤍I almost didn’t make it here. There was a moment when my life was about to end… but I was given another chance. And ever since then, I’ve been waiting for the day I finally meet my family. Maybe… that could be you.People often notice me because of how I look. My white, fluffy fur and bright little face… and they say I look like I’m always smiling. I like that—because I really do feel happiest when I’m with people.I’m a playful, affectionate girl. I won’t wait too long—I’ll come up to you first, asking for your attention, looking into your eyes, hoping you’ll play with me or give me a little love. And once I get to know you? Oh… I become even more loving. I just really enjoy being close to my person. With other dogs, I’m still figuring things out. Sometimes I get a little jealous… I think it’s because I didn’t really learn how to share love and attention before. But if you guide me patiently and give me time, I can learn to feel more comfortable and relaxed around them. There are many things that are still new to me. Living in a home, learning routines, potty training… I’ll need your help with all of that. I might be a little unsure or even a bit too excited at first in a new place. But once I start to feel safe? I settle in quickly, and my bright, happy personality really shines. What I have is not just a pretty face— I have a warm heart that truly loves people. If you give me time, patience, and steady love, I’ll grow into a joyful, loving companion—the kind of dog who fills your home with happiness every single day.I’ve spent enough time waiting in a place that was never home. Now… I just want somewhere I belong. With you. Will you be my forever family? 🤍
