Story
Enzo is an AMAZING dog. He is 2.5 - birthday is January 13th - roughly 70 lbs - great with kids and people. I have a 12 year old and 5 year old. We got him at 13 weeks right from his mother and he has grown up with two female pitbulls. He has always played rough with my blue nose and she welcomed it but within the last few months he has gotten progressively aggressive with my red nose - He really could benefit and thrive from being the only pet in the house and really is a very sweet pup! Lovesssss to snuggle! You would be lucky to have him! We are heart broken that we can no longer care for him. :(

Story
.Frankie is a 7 year old male. He is 53 lbs. He is guessed to be a Standard Poodle mix. He is allowed to be rambunctious and chaotic but does not do well with other dogs who reciprocate his energy. For that reason, it might take some time to find the right fit. He has a prey drive and cannot live with cats or smaller dogs. He enjoys people and would be fine with children. He should be fed separately from other dogs. He is on the skinny side and when it comes to mealtime, he wants his space. He can be rather anxious, and we feel that a 6ft fence would not secure him. He should not be left outside unattended. During his transition into a new home, he should wear a leash on his collar and his harness to help prevent any chance of him slipping out the door. ** Frankie is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. In person applications take priority over ones mailed or emailed (especially on a popular animal). An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **PA Kennel License #1333.

Story
Rupert is a 7 year old male. He weighs 14 lbs. He is a Poodle mix. He can live with cats and other dogs. He needs time to warm up to new situations so children should be old enough to understand this. ** Rupert is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and heartworm/lyme tested. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. Story
Meet Duke! Duke made his way into us after a breeding kennel was shut down (he is one of 5!) He is almost 2 years old. He can live with other dogs, as long as they aren’t too in his face. He is fine with cats. He can live with kids over the age of 6 - just due to comfort. He is lyme and anaplasmosis positive - but not having any symptoms (both tick related.) He will need to be fed separately than the other dogs in the home just due to where he came from. He also will need help learning how to walk on a leash.** Duke is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and heartworm/lyme tested. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. Story
Ricky was an unclaimed stray and is now looking for a new home. We guessed him to be about 4. He came in as a stray with Bobby. They get along very well but aren’t bonded. He’s a pitbull mix. He tested well with dogs and cats. He can live with kids over the age of 6 due to his size and strength. We do not know his history since he was a stray.** Ricky is in our care in Altoona PA.
