Hi! My name is McCoy and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by my previous owner on February 18, 2024 because they had too many cats. I was then adopted and returned, because it turns out- I want to be the only cat in the house! My previous owners did everything they could for me, but sometimes these things just don`t work out. That`s okay, though! They learned a lot about me, and I had a nice long break from the shelter.My previous owner had this to say about me: `McCoy is a chill and affectionate cat. His favorite pastimes are cuddling, sunbathing, and eating! He is a hungry hungry hippo and will eat anything yummy you give him. His favorite treats are Bonito flakes, freeze dried sushi, and Tikicat Silver Comfort Pouches. He loves people SO much, that he doesn`t like to share with other cats. We had him on a Weruva, B.F.F. and Science Hill Diet. He gets nippy when you touch his shaved tender spots, but is getting less reactive with gentle touch and redirection. McCoy has also been learning how to walk on a leash!`I can be a tad shy at first, but if you approach me slowly and give me chin scritches or offer me some churrus I can easily be won over.I used to be an outdoor cat, but I`m ready to retire from that life and be indoors :)Due to my shy nature I woul thrive best in a home without younger children (fast movements and loud noises startle me).I am a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

He’s very doglike. He is talkative and affectionate but doesn’t like to be held. He loves his head being scratched! He will drool with pleasure and will head bump and nudge for more. He’d do best in a quiet and relaxed house. He’s low maintenance and independent but super loving too. Great, great personality! Would love to adopt him with our other kitty, Ozzy!
