Story
Roxi is approximately 6.5 years old. By fiat, her birthday on Sep 23. She is a small (~8 lb) domestic long hair of mixed breed. She lived with dogs and other cats when she was a kitten, but has lived as a sole pet for a bit over 4 years. She is an indoor cat. Roxi does not like riding in cars; it overstimulates her. Roxi is moderately affectionate, and will often seek attention by shoving her face into your hands. She also is in the habit of petting one on the face as a way of asking for pets in return. She can be goofy sometimes; makes for great pictures! She does not have any major behavioral issues to speak of, but can be sassy when hungry and does nibble (entirely without harm—just some mouth grabbing) if you pet her belly or groin in certain ways. She prefers to scratch carpet (she IGNORES sisal), so you will want a carpet scratching post. She also does not do very well in car rides. Litterboxes have to be well-maintained, otherwise she can have an accident.

Story
NAME: Idris Elba AGE/GENDER: 8 year old male BREED/HAIR LENGTH: Domestic long hair WEIGHT: 16 pounds LITTER BOX: He is great with using the litter box. OTHER CATS: He would prefer a home without cats. DOGS: He would prefer a home without dogs. CHILDREN: He may do well with older, cat-respectful children.   LOCATION: He is currently in a foster home. A meeting can be arranged with an approved adoption application. ADOPTION DONATION: $150 HEALTH: Idris has experienced a urinary blockage, so his adopter will need to be diligent about monitoring his litter box use and looking out for any possible signs of a blockage. Stress can increase the chances of a urinary blockage, so his ideal home will be calm and quiet. Idris will require a wet food diet for life. He is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental and general care costs.  HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find Idris a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Idris is a giant guy with a sweet and gentle personality. He loves getting chin scritches and will roll over for pets. His long hair will need daily brushing to avoid matting - and luckily he enjoys being brushed! Idris would be happiest in a calmer home where he can get pets and bird watch. About Motley Zoo: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! We are a rock and roll themed, volunteer-run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. Motley Zoo is a FOSTER BASED organization, which means our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. We do not have animals available for casual viewing or same day adoption. Due to the volunteer-run structure and decentralized/virtual nature of a foster based group, an approved application is required to make an adoption appointment for any of our animals. If you are interested in one of our Adoptable Roadies, please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application. We will work toward getting you approved as an adopter so that we can set a time for you to meet your new best friend! Motley Zoo also runs Rock Star Treatment Services in Redmond, WA where proceeds from this service, help support our rescue's $15,000/ mo vet budget- however, this is NOT a shelter. For more information about daycare or training, check out www.rockstartreatment.org. Please visit our website www.motleyzoo.org for more information! Thanks for considering adoption- we look forward to helping you find your best match in a furry friend. Rock on- The Motley Zoo Crew   June 6, 2023, 12:49 am

Story
Butch and Cassidy were my grandmother's cats, but I've been caring for them since she passed in November. I always told her I'd care for her cats if she were gone. She loved them so much and they were her companions/children as she lived alone. I have 4 other cats and despite my best efforts, they don't get along. They were always the only cats and they love each other can cuddle, but have no experience with anyone besides themselves. I also have a disabled cat who doesn't understand boundaries/growling/hissing and causes the most fights. They are both about 9 years old and not up to date with shots. They are declawed in the front. Butch needs a urinary diet and eats primarily wet food because he has bad teeth. I'm assuming it will be like one of my other cats where the teeth needed to be removed and he only eats wet food. My grandmother couldn't afford that kind of care I think. They're both so loving and sweet. They cuddle together and love being pet and being on your lap!

Story
Sammie is a gorgeous 6-year-old dilute tortie with a luxurious coat. Not only is brushing relaxing for her, but it's also very relaxing for the humans! Sammie is friendly, curious, and affectionate. She's looking for a family that will give her plenty of daily attention and cozy places to snooze. And plenty of brushing to make sure her hairdo is staying on point. Sammie's never lived with other cats or dogs, so any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. She will likely do well with older kids who can handle her gently. If you're ready to welcome home this fluffy feline, send in an adoption application today!
