Hello! My name is Koda . I am available to adopt!I am a sassy senior girl looking for my new best friend. I`m very sweet and quite beautiful if I do say so myself. I will look even better once my fur grows out from my bad haircut. I have cool front paws with an extra toe, so it looks like I`m wearing bedroom slippers. I am a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, I want to be with you all the time.I`m rather opinionated and will tell you all about it with my soft meows. I love to be petted, brushed, and scritched. I like to explore and check out everything. I do need to eat special prescription food for my tummy issues. Luckily, I like the food and it has helped me a lot! I have great `cat manners`. I use my litter box and keep my fir spit spot clean. If you`d like to meet me, my foster mom will bring me to the shelter for a `meet and greet`. Send an email to frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org for more information or to set up a meet & greet. Stop by the shelter during regular business hours to visit available pets. AVHS is open 6 days a week 11am-6pm, closed Sundays, adoptions wrap up at 5:30pm each day.

Story

Oliver is the sweetest 13 year old cat. He is very people oriented and loves to be around his humans and loves cuddles. He will follow you into any room just to be around you. He loves wet food and naps in a sun spot. He’s very smart, and will figure out how to open doors (but mainly because he wants to be where you are). I recently had my first baby, and he isn’t adjusting the greatest, so may not be suitable in a home with infants. Otherwise he does great with older children and dogs. He has had a dog sister for 6 years, and they get along great and love to play and cuddle together.

Story

Louise is a foster fail who is 4 years old. She's a total Velcro cat, loves to follow her favorite human around the house and sit nearby, offers head bumps and will cuddle sit on your feet on the couch. She loves to play laser, da bird, jumping through tunnels, and chewing on cardboard. She chirps and can bird watch for hours. I got a new job a year ago that requires me to travel 50-70% of the work week and Louise has really struggled. My husband is cat indifferent and doesn't have desire to play with her so she acts out when I'm away by pooping in his office or on his spot on the couch. She does great when she has a pet sitter - who spends at least an 10 mins playing with her. She also gets along great with my older cat but we very slowly introduced them and she is interested in small dogs but hasn't had much experience. She loves watching birds a and bugs on our upstairs porch. She is very territorial and would do best with a male cat or a be the only cat in the family.

This is petunia or Tuna for short. Literally the sweetest girl ever. She’s been brought up with kids and has never scratched them. She is a talker and will let you know if she needs cuddles. She lost an eye about two years ago and has very little vision in the other. The vet suspected that she had head trauma before we got her. She is not dog aggressive but definitely doesn’t want to cuddle with a dog. She has a brother that is up for adoption as well, his name is Nigel and we would like them to go together. Both cats are amazing and have the same temperament but we are no longer able to keep them. Nigel is supper chill and will take all the pets and cuddles you are willing to give. He has not past health concerns and a good boy. Both cats are fixed. Tuna is about 5 and Nigel is 8.

Moonie is strictly an INDOOR cat! His 1st love is food, his 2nd is sleep, his 3rd is fresh water.Mostly independent, but he does crave affection. Prefers his cheeks, head, and body stroked, not his chin. Loves to be told he's cute. Won’t sleep on your lap, but he might join you in bed &make biscuitsHe's playful, but only in short bursts, by himself or with you. CONS: His meow is LOUD (but so is his purr!). He begs. He WILL shoot through an open door. Doesn't always cover his business. Messy eater w/ wet food. Health issues: Chronic constipation- He needs Lactulose once a day day. Both eyes have discharge. You’ll have to clean his eyes on a regular basis to keep it from crusting/creating open sores. Due to age & size, Moonie can't keep up with self-grooming, so you will need to groom him or take him to the groomers for a bath or a lion’s cut because he is prone to matting and dandruff.He doesnt get along with other cats and my mom and I can no longer care for him due to circumstances
