Story
Hi! My name is Buster. I am available to adopt—currently staying with a foster.Buster is a 12 year old gentleman who is doing wonderfully in foster care and showing us just how much love he has to give. He’s outgoing, very chatty, and absolutely adores attention. Brushing time is one of his favorite activities, and he happily lets his people know when he’s enjoying it......and when he’s had just enough, with the softest little “love nibble.”Buster is a social guy who truly wants to be where his people are. He follows along, keeps you company, and lets you know he’s craving affection. While he does best in calm, predictable environments, he has shown that with patience and understanding, he can settle in beautifully.Because Buster can become overstimulated in busy or noisy situations, he’s looking for a quiet home with experienced, cat-savvy adopters who understand feline body language and boundaries. A home without children or teens would be best for him, and we recommend a household where everyone can move at his pace and respect his signals.Buster may take a little time to fully warm up in a new home, but once he does, he bonds deeply and thrives on companionship. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate senior cat who wants nothing more than to share space, conversation, and cozy moments with you, Buster could be the perfect match.Come meet this sweet old soul and see if he’s meant to spend his golden years by your side.Send an email to frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org for more information or to set up a meet & greet with an animal staying with a foster. Stop by the shelter during regular business hours to visit available pets. AVHS is open 6 days a week 11am-6pm, closed Sundays, adoptions wrap up at 5:30pm each day.

Story
Hi! I’m Willow. I am available to adopt—I`m currently staying with a foster.I’m a little shy when I meet new people, but I warm up rather quickly. One of the quickest ways to my heart is by giving me Churu. My hobbies include chasing kibble, playing with teaser toys, eating catnip, making biscuits, and getting belly rubs. My fur is extra soft and fluffy, so I think my foster lady likes it too. When I’m really happy, the tip of my tail wiggle waggles just a little bit. Scritching behind my ears and giving me pets really gets my purr machine going! I really enjoy being around my people and taking naps in their presence. Recently, my favorite music has been kitty music in B-flat and all the silly songs my foster lady makes up about me.Send an email to frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org for more information or to set up a meet & greet with an animal staying with a foster. Story
This is Orbit, a 7-month-old tabby kitten with soft stripes and an even softer soul. Orbit is a shy little guy who’s still learning that the world is a safe and loving place. He may take some time to come out of his shell, but with patience and kindness, he’ll reward you with quiet affection and gentle companionship. Orbit is looking for a calm, peaceful home where he can grow at his own pace. He would do best in a quieter environment—perhaps with just one calm feline friend or as a solo kitty where he can get all the love and attention he needs to feel secure. He also does well with older, respectful children who understand that shy kittens need a little extra space and time to build trust. Once he feels safe, Orbit enjoys cozy nap spots, soft blankets, and gentle pets. He’s not the boldest kitten on the block, but he has a heart full of love just waiting for the right person to unlock it. If you have a quiet home and a patient heart, Orbit might be your perfect match. Come meet this sweet boy and help him discover how good life can be. Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Orbit is currently 7 months, neutered and microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and in great health! He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy. All he needs now is his forever home! The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Orbit is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, or the Pacific Northwest or locations along this route. ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you for your contribution to our efforts! To learn more about our TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) efforts, please follow us on Instagram. @roses_rescues_htx
