Story
Hi! I'm Luke. I'm a loving, affectionate, and wildly fun two-year-old, who's looking for a forever home! I prefer a quiet home, where I can be the only fur baby of the house! In my past, I have bit and scratched when over excited, but I haven't done that in a long time, thanks to a loving and calming environment, and my desire to be a good kitty. I have been neutered, and I looove catnip toys, and chasing lasersw! In fact, my favorite cat trees, and my cat condo can go with me, to make my adjustment easier, and retain my safe space.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Our website has information about our rescue, adoption process and link to our adoption application www.collarofhope.org  Molly is a sweet, older kitty who was found on the streets and owners never came forward.  She is sweet, not too needy but affectionate, and loves to sleep with her foster Mom.  She just needs a soft place to land.  She is doing great right now but her labs indicate early signs of kidney disease.  We do not feed vet foods but rather, high meat content kibble and canned foods like Instinct or Nulo for 2 examples (carnivore appropriate diets).    We are a foster home-based rescue and have no facility to visit.  Some of our kitties can be seen at our PetSmart partner store in Gig Harbor and it will be noted on their profile if they are at this public location.  Prior to adoption, as a minimum, our animals are spay/neutered, vaccinated age appropriate (will need additional vaccines in some cases), parasite treated/prevented and micro-chipped.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 1:55 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Our website has information about our rescue, adoption process and link to our adoption application www.collarofhope.org Polly is a very sweet girl.  She was hanging around a hotel for months and being fed by employees there.  It was an industrial area with no housing nearby so we don't know anything about her past.  We do know that she's a chill, lovable girl who even allows belly rubs. She will bump you will her head lovingly while you're petting her.  A more calm home would be best for her.  We don't know how she is with other cats but do know dogs make her nervous.  The gals at the Vet just loved her personality.   We found a spay tattoo but she had no microchip.    We are a foster home based rescue and have no facility to visit.

Story
Magnus is 2 years old. He originally came to the shelter I adopted him from as a found stray kitten. He is a very loving cat that loves to be pet and explore the outdoors. He loves feeding time and will male sure you don't forget. He is vocal but lovingly so. Ideally he would like to have a new home with his adopted brother where he can spend time indoors and outdoors.

This animal is being cross-posted for private rehoming by its owner. This animal is not in the care of Kitsap Humane Society and the staff at KHS cannot respond to any inquiries about this animal. If you are interested in adopting or learning more about this pet, please contact their owner directly at a.kumar86@gmail.com. Kitsap Humane Society is not responsible for any present or future damage the pet may do to a person, animal, or property. We encourage all prospective adopters to do their own evaluation. From her current family: "Choco is one unique tuxedo feline-super social, always wanting to be the center of attention, but these attributes also require an experienced cat/kitten parent. She loves to play more than anything else, so will need more attention than the average cat. H absolutely love her, but our resident cat (11-year-old male) has had a tough time sharing his space. Being stressed is no way to live for either, so we've made the decision to rehome her with someone that will give her the love and care she deserves. The Cute Stuff· She adores windows and perches, and they keep her entertained for hours. She loves head/nose boops and chin scratches, and flops on her belly when wanting to play. Has never quite learned how to meow, so she just makes random chirps and sound. Very adaptable; settles into new environments very quickly and begins to make them her own. Sleeps for hours when not home, so no issue leaving her home while away for work.Experienced Cat Owner Stuff· Choco seeks affection on her own terms-she is NOT a lap cat, so don't try to make her one. Does not like being handled and will bite if you keep grabbing her but can be picked up briefly. Can be hard to read sometime because she doesn't exhibit some typical cat cues. Does not like being disciplined (no cat does really) and will discipline you back. Hard to get into carriers for vet visits, but with a little patience you'll be fine. Has some separation anxiety but feeding her as you're leaving should do the trick.Lot of the above can come as a surprise to some new, inexperienced cat parents, but should be run of the mill for those who have had young cats before. To us, she is friendly and goofy, with a bit of an edge-something we personally like. She'll need a home where that is appreciated. As such, we recommend no kids or seniors, lots of windows, and a fair amount of space.Though she hasn't had much luck with our older cat, mostly of no fault her own, she may get along with another her same age that is equally as confident in her/himself. In fact, she may do well wrestling with fellow felines to let out a bit of that energy. For the right person, we're happy to "trial" her for a few weeks with another cat (or dog), knowing they've introduced cats before and are experienced with cats."If you are interested in learning more about Choco, contact her owner's directly! Story
Taffyta and Sam are looking for a new barn home! Taffyta is a young male while Sam is a 2 year old female who have both been assessed at semi-feral. Semi-feral cats are cats who do not allow being touched and possibly never will allow touching. They would prefer living in an outdoor environment with access to an indoor space where food and water would be kept. They will need at least 6 weeks of confinement in a secure enclosure, such as a shed, before they can be let outside to start exploring the property. If you are interested in adopting Taffyta and Sam to be working cats on your property, stop by the shelter any day during adoption hours. If you have not submitted a barn cat application previously, you will need to fill one out when you arrive. All adoptions are first come, first serve.*Barn cats require a secure indoor enclosure where they can be kept confined. After they are able to have outdoor access, they should continue to have access to this safe indoor space for protection from weather and predators. The indoor space could be a shed, garage, workshop, barn, etc. but should have four walls and a roof and be able to be entered by the caretakers in order to feed the cat and clean the litter box. Barn cat caretakers should expect to provide access to a litter box even after the cat is able to go outdoors, will need to feed the cat and provide fresh water daily, and will need to provide routine vaccines and medical care if the cat becomes sick or injured.*Adoptions are held Wednesday - Monday from 12:00PM to 4:00PM. Our adoption process is an in-person, first-come, first serve system. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 6.36 Age: 2yrs 0mths 3wks
