Story
Meet Zoe, a Chihuahua born approx 3/7/2020. Zoe is a sweet girl who has had a lot of transitions in her life. She can be a little slow to warm up, but once she does, she is very cuddly. She has seemed to attach strongly to the mom of the house and does get anxious when she leaves, but eventually settles down. She’s been alone up to 6 hours, has been free floating around the house, and has not had any accidents or destroyed anything during that time. Zoe is house-trained, and scratches at the door when she needs to be let out. She is not kennel trained. She has been great with our 3.5 year old daughter. Initially she was respectful and a little afraid of our cat, but she has had a few instances of lashing out toward the cat, She has been great with our small dog, and has met other big dogs on leash and has reacted positively. She loves walks, and while she pulls sometimes, she is easily redirected. Zoe is a medium energy level. She loves running off-leash on our acreage, but can also curl up on the couch and be content. In the car Zoe wants to ride on your lap, but also does fine in the kennel during rides. Zoe is treat motivated, playful, and sweet and will make a great family dog for a very lucky family.    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hi, I’m Maggie. Im a 2 year old chihuahua mix! I came to mn from Mexico, where i was found living in a hole inside a rock mountain. When I got to mn my foster mom realized I was limping quite a bit. It then was determined by our vets that I needed a double back knee surgery as I had luxating patella in both my back knees. Don’t worry, my foster momma did all the hard work and I feel so much better now and am like a brand new dog!  Now for the fun part! I am such a joy to have around. At first I am not trusting of people but once I learn you wanna be my friend we can be best friends. I am goofy and will play with other dogs big or small but it may take me a few days to warm up to them. When I am in cuddle mode, I don’t like to share my space with other animals and may snap at them if they disturb my sleep. I love cuddles, I am the most cuddly girl ever especially with this thing called winter. I would rather curl up and cuddle with you under a blanket all day long. I am kennel trained and do really enjoy hanging in my kennel. I am for the most part potty trained, occasionally I have accidents here and there but 98% of the time I go outside. I sleep in bed curled up next to my foster momma all night long. As for cats they are fine, if they are more active cats I may try to play with them or chase them but I leave the more laid back cats alone. I will bark at new people coming into the house but will calm down and as long as they leave me alone they can stay. If they are too intrusive or in my face too much at our initial meeting I may growl. I never snap or bite though. I just need some extra time to learn new people are okay!  Anyways do you think you could be my forever home??  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Hi everyone, my name is Lourdes, but my foster mom calls me "momma". That's because I was raising my 5 little babies. I am a Chihuahua born approx 11/8/24. I love to cuddle with my human.  I also enjoy lying on the couch or pillow with a blanket over me. I was very protective of my puppies, but I got along great with the resident dog. I will need some more help with my potty training. I am happy to have sweaters on to keep me warm. I am definitely not a fan of the bath, but I will let you give me the bath. I will sleep in a kennel, but my pillow or with you in bed would be better. But please remember to cover me up with a blanket. I know that my babies are finding their forever homes, and I sure would like one of my own.  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Meet Kiku!  Kiku is a chihuahua mix and she's about two years old. Kiku is a big lover and one of her favorite activities is to snuggle up with her people and get some belly rubs. She is great on a leash and has pretty good recall as well. Kiku does tend to bark at other dogs (we're working on it!) and is very interested in squirrels. Kiku is fully house-trained and will stare deeply into your eyes if she needs to go out. She is fine to be left alone at home -- no chewing, scratching, or whining. She does well around young children but does sometimes need to take a break from them. She's good at removing herself from situations that are a bit overwhelming. Kiku would likely do best if she were the only dog in the home. She unfortunately doesn't get along with cats. Kiku currently takes some medication for anxiety and allergies, but taking pills is not a problem. She comes running with her tail wagging when she hears the bottles!   Kiku is so excited to find her furever home -- could it be yours? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Straight outta Tijuana and ready to take on the world (one cuddle at a time), Beam is a 7-pound, 4-month-old Chihuahua mix with a heart as big as her bark!  She started out as a nervous little nugget, but this brave girl is finding her groove. Beam now hangs with the big dogs like a champ, sleeps through the night in her kennel (dreaming of treats, probably ), and is about 80% potty trained — not bad for a baby! Her favorite thing in the whole wide world? A good lap and a soft blanket. Once she trusts you, she’ll melt right into your arms. Beam’s looking for a patient, loving home where she can keep building confidence and show off her silly, snuggly side. If you’re ready for a pint-sized companion with a ton of love to give, Beam’s your girl!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Hi my name is Hayes. I am a whole lot of love in a little package and I have so much love to give! I am a 3+ year old chihuahua mix. Mixed with what……well who knows?! If you need me, you’ll probably find me perched on the back of a sofa monitoring the world. I like to keep tabs on what is going on outside. If some human or dog friends come on by, I’ll be sure to let you know. I also enjoy being out in the yard and going on walks. If I walk by a human or other animal hang on tight! Sometimes I am a bit reactive. I live with other furry friends (a dog and two cats) and get along with the dog, it did take some time for her to trust me but we're good now. Cats not so much they make weird noises and I really don't want much to do with them.  I love to snuggle in bed at night and will be right at your side on the couch as well. I’m potty trained, I whine when I need to go outside. I enjoy car rides. I would probably do best with older kids just because I can be nervous when people come around. The quickness of young tikes might be a bit much for me. Every now and then I can get a bit grumpy if someone tries to snatch my treats but, honestly, wouldn’t you be the same if someone tried to steal your cookie?! I'd really do best in an only dog home.              Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Age: 8 months Weight: 17 lbs Dog friendly: yes, with the right introductions Cat friendly: yes Kid friendly: yes, older and considerate children Potty trained: yes, on a schedule Crate trained: yes REQUIRED: Physical fenced yard & another playful dog within the home Hello, hello! Hi there, my name is Moonie! I’m a 17lb bundle of joy and ready to go to my forever home! I love to play with my 17 lb foster sister, whether its a good game of chase, bitey face, or wrestling - i love it all and do good switching between roles. Im chill with my 85lb foster brother, he’s a bit older and wants nothing to do with puppy shenanigans so I leave him alone.  My foster parents say I'm a certified goober, I love getting pets from them and while I took to my foster mom immediately it took a while longer to warm up to my foster dad. I play with my foster parents some but aren’t as confident yet with people. I like going outside and am loving winter so far -  I LOVE  to bring snow balls back inside and eat them! I also love to chew on bones/hooves/toys.  My crate is my safe space and I do great sleeping in there overnight and hanging out there during the day when these peeps are at work. I’m working on potty training but do well with potty pads inside. I’m a sweetheart with a cute smile and I’m ready to sweep you off your feet! Adoption fee: $525
