Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I am Maggie Marie! I am a Chi mix born 7/16/2019. I came into rescue as a momma and now I’m ready to be a dog without my pups! I am just a little girl. My mom calls me a little peanut. I came in pretty scared and shut down. I am still very shy at first but if you give me a chance my foster mom really thinks I will warm up. Meet and greets are hard for me as I get really scared of new people. Older kids in the home may be ok but I would do best with no kids. A more quiet home would be best as I’m still pretty scared of noises and a lot of commotion . I have started to play with my fur siblings and every once in a while play with toys or chew on bones. Another dog in the home is best for me as I love other dogs. I am one fast little girl. I zoom around when I am happy! I am working on going potty outside but I don’t like to go outside as it is still really scary. I do use the potty pads inside as well. My mom tried to take the best photos of me but I don’t like to sit very still and want to get as close to her as possible so she tried her best. Once I warm up I am the sweetest and silliest girl ever. I get so happy to jump on my moms bed and will curl right up next to her before she puts me in my kennel. With that said I am kennel trained but prefer to be out with her. Will you give me a chance at love? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Stella Bella, she’s a chihuahua mix born approximately 5/5/2023. She is a very lovable little girl in the home with her people. She is good with other people and dogs with slow and proper introductions. Stella may feel the need to defend herself or pee out of fear when approached too quickly and unexpectedly. She currently lives with two resident dogs (both 70 lbs +) and two cats. She definitely seems to have a preference for the big dogs who will let her climb all over them and give kisses. She hasn’t met many kids but absolutely loves the 7 year old she sees Monday through Friday. She takes cues very well from the cats and leaves them be. Despite her small size, she is not afraid to take on the bigger dogs and engage in play in and out of the house. Her potty training is still a work in progress but it is going very well so far. She is most comfortable and motivated to do her business outside when I am right there with her or one of the resident dogs. Stella Bella does well in the kennel and will typically stay there an average of 4-6 hrs and can kennel overnight if needed as well, although she sleeps in the room with me because she is already kenneled throughout the day. After a long day of play, she likes to look for me and curl up next to me for a nap. She is a very cuddly and loving little thing. Stella would love to go to a home where she can continue to work on her fear of strangers and basic obedience. She is very food motivated so if consistent, training will definitely deliver great results! She may not be the best fit for a home with shared walls at the moment as she does like to bark at passers by and strange noises but it is not a requirement. Again, consistency and dedication into her training is key.
Silly Rabbit..Trix here isn’t just for kids. He’s a Chihuahua born 6/29/23. Little Trix loves people and animals of all sizes. He is working on his bathroom skills by using a pee pad or going outside on a schedule. He’s one smart puppy who just needs a bit more time to figure it all out. He is not a big barker nor does he bite or chew on things besides his toys. He loves to play outside, take puppy naps and cuddle on the couch. He sleeps through the night on his bed with his brother but wouldn’t turn down the chance to sleep in bed with you. All in all, he’s a typical puppy who just happens to have a cereal named after him or so he says. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Who wouldn’t be “cuckoo for Coco Puff,” I know I sure am. He’s a Chihuahua born 6/29/23. He may be a small little dude but he’s got one big personality. He gets along with people and animals of all ages and sizes. He admits he is still working on his bathroom skills but is learning quickly that he’s using a puppy pad or going outside. He plays hard, naps hard and gives the best puppy kisses. He sleeps with his brother in their soft bed at night but would gladly share your bed with you. He is not a big barker, doesn’t bite or chew on things besides his toys or a treat. If you’re cuckoo for Coco Puff, he says he will be as sweet as a box of cereal.
Hello, my name is Bender, my foster family calls me Benny.  I am a little tan chihuahua born 7/23/23 with lots of love and cuddles to give!  I love people and will be your little shadow following you everywhere you go.  If you stop, I will sit at your feet and cry for you to pick me up.  Because I am always at your feet, you have to be very alert and pay attention to where I am at all times so I don't get hurt.  My favorite thing is being held and petted and most times I will cuddle in and fall asleep in your arms or your lap. I am a happy little guy, my tail does not stop wagging for long. I like to play with toys and my brother is fun to play with too. During the weekdays when my foster family is out of the house, we will hangout in the fenced area of the house. We do so well. We keep each other entertained, we play and play until we crash and fall asleep.  You can say I am a good boy, I don't get into anything that I should not or cause any trouble.  I am a good eater and will eat all my food as soon as you give it to me.  I am so smart and have learned to go to the bathroom outside, I will go and whine at the door when I have to go out.  I am really good at keeping my area clean and during the day when my foster family is gone, I use the potty pads in my play area.  At night, I sleep with my brother in a small kennel.  We just lay down and sleep the whole night most times without a peep. Once in a while I wake up and cry because I have to go outside.  My foster Mom comes and lets me out and then I come back in and go right back to sleep.  Because I am so small, It would probably be best if my forever home is a bit quieter, without a lot of commotion or little ones that don't yet understand how to be gentle with me.  I get along with the other bigger dog in my foster home just fine.  I am the more adventurous one and not shy or nervous about new situations. I am the one that is not afraid to wander off to explore new things.  I am pretty easy going and seem to get along with everyone.  I have been on a couple car rides and seem to do well, I just snuggle in and fall asleep.  Could you be my forever best friend?   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Hello, my name is Olaf.  I am a tiny little white chihuahua born 7/23/23 with cute floppy ears, lots of love to give and such a fun personality. I love people and want to be with them all the time. Story
Meet Emmet! This sweet baby boy is apx 6 months old, born in Feb 2023. He loves food and is working to learn new tricks! He just lost his last two baby teeth and is learning what love is. He is shy to meet new people but is learning to cuddle. Emmet really wants to be a cuddle bug, but isn't always too sure- his sonar ears certainly tell you what he's feeling. He loves the cat he interacts with and has been around a lot of other dogs. He hasn't been exposed to children yet, but would likely love anyone if they take some time and patience. Previous Dachshund experience is preferred. More info added over time. Please feel free to reach out to us through email at legends@legendsrescue.org *We only adopt and foster our animals within a 60 mile radius from New Brighton, MN* All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment. You can contact us through our website at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/contact/ or visit our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LegendsRescue/ if you have further questions or would like to schedule a meet and greet. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/forms/ FOSTER CARE: Our rescues are fostered in individual homes or at our facility. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before a dog is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the cats growth as you help them on their journey to their happy ending. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please fill out our application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/foster-application/ YOU CAN HELP: If you’re not able to foster or adopt right now, please consider sponsoring a Legend. Hi I'm Buzz!  I'm a happy little guy looking for my perfect family.  I enjoy playing outside and running in the grass enjoying the sun and wind in my face.  If you're my person I get happy wiggles and enjoy scratches and pets.  With new people I can be a bit quirky.  If I don't know you I ask that you give me a moment to know you're safe.  I'll admit I'm better with women than men.  If I'm pushed too quick I sometimes mouth you.  It's not a bite and I leave no mark whatsoever but your hand or finger is in my mouth for just a moment. I do ok with slow intros with calm dogs that ignore me but I would love to be an only dog so I don't have to share your love.  I'd likely be best in a home without kids.  I'm sure you're kids are great but I don't think they're for me.  I love walks and I know how to potty on leash or in a fenced yard if you have it.  I'm kennel trained and doing well on potty training.  I just need a patient family who will love me and give me a chance and you'll see what a great dog I really am.  Are you my perfect match? Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Hello, I’m Nina, a precious and sweet albeit VERY shy female Chihuahua/Bichon Frise mix puppy. I am cautious around people in general and I don’t like loud noises or a lot of commotion, so I’m not sure if kids are a good fit for me! I admit that I follow mom everywhere but it’s not necessarily because I want her attention…I just want to know what she’s up to…unless she’s giving the other pups attention then…of course, I must be part of the action! Hee, hee!! I love playing with toys and eating treats and have even started taking treats from foster mom’s hand…YAY for me!! I am still working on potty training, I don’t have any experience with the leash, and I don’t like the kennel/crate. In fact, I will holler a LOT when I first go into the crate and randomly throughout the night so just for the record, you have been warned! Hee, hee!! Anyway, I have not met any cats or larger dogs, but I do well with smaller dogs like me and will need a companion and a fenced yard at my new home so we can safely explore and play! I am a super smart girl who already knows what “sit”, “stay”, “down”, “leave it”, & “go potty” all mean…all I need now is a fur-ever home with YOU! I simply ask that you love me unconditionally, NEVER give up on me, and that you will patiently allow me the time and space I need to become comfortable in my own way! I have a huge heart that is overflowing with love I want to share, so please be my fur-ever family. I promise we will make amazing memories together!! All my love, Nina I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! *Grooming - this dog's coat may have been neglected before arriving at Underdog and it can sometimes take months to get their coat healthy as poodles and poodle mixes require daily brushing.  Grooming appointments occur every 3 months and cost on average of $150 per appointment. Adopters should be prepared for such expenses. Underdog Rescue cannot guarantee the non-shedding or hypoallergenic qualities of this dog.  **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters.  Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter.  Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized.  If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Story
Welcome Valentine to the CCPAL Rescue. She is a 10-pound Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix. She and the litter were born under a trailer in Texas in the winter. A couple of the puppies didn’t make it. They are 10 months old. Valentine has a beautiful heart on her chest. Despite their upbringing they are very affectionate and like to be petted and cuddled. Their tail has been cut off by the owners and not a vet. They are at varying lengths. A couple of them are cut completely off. Valentine got her Bordatella, Nexguard and her Distemper vaccine today. She will be scheduled for spay soon and get her Rabies. Potty trained, crate trained and leash trained. She was very quiet and loved to be cuddled by the volunteer staff at the shelter. Once you picked them up they came to the front of their kennel ready to be picked up. The car ride was their first one and they drooled and got a little motion sick. They are adorable dogs and very deserving of a new home where they are the center of attention for their family. They would be great for anyone wanting a loving lap companion. They are small enough to be carried easily and while they do have a voice they are relatively quiet for their breed. We would love someone who has owned a Chihuahua before. They are great dogs and not too big of shedders. Their teeth are sparkly white and will not need cleanings for a while. They are in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Once you picked them up they came to the front of their kennel ready to be picked up. The car ride was their first one and they drooled and got a little motion sick. They are adorable dogs and very deserving of a new home where they are the center of attention for their family. They would be great for anyone wanting a loving lap companion. They are very inexperienced with life in general but very much enjoy attention and love. They are small enough to be carried easily and while they do have a voice, they are relatively quiet for their breed.

Story
Meet Espresso! She loves to be carried around and snuggled on and favorite activities are sleeping and snuggling. She would be great as an only dog or with a similarly inclined friend for companionship. Essie loves being in her crate, and is quiet. She is reliably potty trained, but will use pads in the enclosure. When rescued, she had a bad case of mange so lost some of her hair. She is healthy now but may need to wear a sweater to keep warm. She is good with cats and other dogs. Essie is about 9.5 years old and weighs 8 pounds. She would love a forever home to live her best life and get all the snuggles she deserves!!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.September 29, 2023, 4:08 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Genna is 8 yo Pomeranian coming to MN from a breeder release.  She has made great strides in becoming a loving sweet dog.  She has no teeth so no way to defend herself.  Please be careful and keep her safe.  She loves to run and play tag with foster in a fenced in yard.  Goes out on a schedule but does have accidents occasionally.  It takes her a little while to get her job done so be prepared to be out with her for 10 minutes or longer.  She gets along well with multiple dogs all sizes in foster home including the snotty-doxie.  She is quite the chatterbox so no shared-walls.  She just likes to talk .  Kennels nicely at night but sleeps with door to kennel open while bedroom door closed.  She tolerates kennel during day but does bark.  It does take her time to settle.  She is kenneled in car when traveling and does ok.  She has not been around kids but my guess she would be shy initially. She has no teeth so must be given soft food (soak kibble plus wet food).  Takes pills nicely.  Likes affection.  Working on lap sitting and doing great.  She is on a grooming schedule; does shed but regular brushing helps.  She is a very curious dog and needs a close eye on her.  She should not be left unattended but kenneled when away from home   I recommend another dog in the home to help her along her journey.  I adore Genna!    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $450.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 29, 2023, 10:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.//     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.org Adoption Fee: $300 plus taxWe don't have much history on this adorable fluffy guy. He was found as a stray and picked up in the middle of a rainstorm. What we did know is he dod not deserve to spend his golden years in a shelter. The shelter is guessing him to be about 12 and it does appear he may have some cataracts starting. He is friendly with you once he has a chance to warm up then he loves to be cuddledIf you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks. Our Adoption fees for all animals cover required vetting: which includes, Rabies, Distemper Vaccine Series, Bordetella, Deworming, Heartworm Test as age appropriate, Spay or Neuter and Microchip and registration. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   or     *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //
