Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $1000 Rolo is a 10 month old French Bulldog ready to be the sweet little treat you’ve been looking for! Rolo was rescued from the shelter by one of our amazing volunteers. We don’t know how this handsome gentleman landed in the slammer but we knew we couldn’t leave him behind. Rolo weighs 15 pounds and is a perfect little compact dude with an adorable underbite. He charms everyone he meets with his unique look! Those who love Frenchies will fall madly in love with Mr. Rolo from day one, so what are you waiting for! Rolo is a total sweetheart who can’t wait to cuddle the days away with his forever humans! According to his foster parents, he is one of their favorite foster dogs ever! Rolo is a lapdog who thrives in his current role as a WFH and Snack Supervisor. He will make sure everyone stays on track so they can bring home the bacon for him! Rolo is a very couch potato kind of dog who snorts and snoozes the hours away. He’s always happy to romp outside but no marathons for this guy… well maybe TV marathons! With his permanent wonky grin, he makes the cutest little model we have ever seen! Rolo turns all the heads at the park as he struts by with his wiggling body and tongue happily hanging out of his mouth. He lives every day to the fullest! As long as you’re ready for all the sounds that come out of a gorgeous Frenchie, we can’t wait for Rolo to change your life! Rolo wakes up at 7 AM and heads out for his morning potty walk before he comes home for breakfast. By 8:30 AM he is ready for a morning nap before starting his day of being the best WFH supervisor. He naps on and off for most of the day, supervising time in the kitchen in case any snacks happen to fall his way. Rolo goes on another potty walk around 3 PM and then lounges until his evening jaunt. Dinner is served at 7 PM and then Rolo delights his foster humans with his antics during playtime. Rolo snoozes on the couch while everyone unwinds from the day and then heads into his pen for the night. Rolo could happily coexist with a resident dog or thrive as a solo pup. He’s easy like that. He walks fabulously on a leash and is mostly house trained. Interested homes should be ready to discuss their experience with flat-faced breeds as they are unique in their ongoing care. Linus is part of Charlie Brown Litter. Holly mom is French Bull Dog /Boston Terrier mix. 2/16/24 DNA test results: Dad was a Cattle Dog 40% and 9% Border Collie. They should be medium size adults and smart. Holly was abandoned at a distant shelter and was very pregnant. Linus' DOB: 12/1/23. Once we rescued Holly and she arrived at her foster home within 2 hours she went into labor and gave birth to 5 puppies. 2 girls and 3 boys. Whew! Just in time. All the pups and mom did great at their foster home. Home raised healthy lovable and social. The 5 pups are now learning at their next foster home for puppy training. All are playful snuggly and lovable. We do not know what they are mixed with. They seem larger than Frenchie pups and have tails. We will start to review applications Jan 20th. Puppies will be 8 weeks old on Jan. 27th and will get their first vaccinations and deworm. Need home with attached backyard. More info. to come on each puppy's personality. 1/24/24 Update: The 3 boys are fairly similar all playful and slower than the girls. Linus and Snoopy are a little more timid but get more playful when riled up by Brody. All love attention and to be held. They all did very well getting their first shots and these puppies are extremely smart and well behaved for such young puppies. They are learning sit and not to bite and are all doing very very well. They will make wonderful family pets for someone. Their temperament is fantastic gentle playful and sweet. 2/9/24 Update 10 weeks old: Patty is definitely the smallest with smallest paws. Snoopy and Linus are about the same size 12 pounds and Patty is 10 lbs.. I think they will be medium sized dogs. Snoopy and Linus are slower and calmer. Patty is spunky and more independent and curious and a little more Frenchie personality . All learning crate training. Few accidents on pee pads now. Poor Gypsie was found on the streets and very pregnant. She went to a shelter foster home who also took her to emergency vet to monitor her deliver in case C-section was needed. She gave birth to 6 puppies naturally and then cared for her pups at her foster home. Once pups were weaned and 8 weeks old with adopters her current foster home could not keep her so they contacted us to rescue Gypsie so she can get TLC and heal at our foster home before her spay surgery. Spay surgery for Frenchie are more difficult more expensive and need the right vet willing to deal with smooshy face dogs. She does seem to have an allergy to chicken based foods and needed medicated wipes for folds. Foster home will bath her and feed her salmon and non-fowl based foods. She is dog and people friendly. French Bulldog Age: 2-3 yrs old Female, spayed 24 lbs Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Mary Lou was brought to the Stockton shelter by someone who said they “found her.” The “finder” thought that maybe she had been hit by a car, which is why she didn’t have any use of her back legs? However, there were no signs of trauma. Given her breed and that she was obviously used for breeding with no signs of ever having a C-section, it is likely that she injured her back giving natural puppy birth (French Bulldogs require C-section surgery to safely birth puppies, but there are a lot of unscrupulous backyard breeders just trying to make a buck and taking shortcuts - leaving the dogs to suffer. Many of the dogs we work with that have no use of their back legs recover to some degree with work. Mary Lou hasn’t made much progress in this area, so will likely be a paraplegic dog for the remainder of her life. She prefers to drag the hind legs behind her, rather than using a cart. And because she doesn’t have use of her back legs, pee and pooping has it’s challenges, as well. In addition to no use of her back legs, she does have some medical conditions that are common to the bulldog breed (allergies, ear infections, and the occasional urinary tract infections associated with her urinary challenges). * * * * STOP BREEDING BULLDOGS!!!! * * * * Mary Lou qualifies for our “permanent foster” program where we support her vet needs for the remainder of her life (as long as she is fostered/adopted locally). On the other hand, she is super, super sweet. She loves everyone: humans and canines (and maybe cats? Not sure). She needs a home with no stairs, and where someone is home most of the time.
