Story
Hi new friends! My name is Zeppelin, and I'm a 1 year old 45 pound German Shepherd mix. I'm so excited to have the chance to find a family to love me! I love nothing more than giving kisses and making new friends (two legged and four legged)! I promise to greet you every day with tail wags and a smile on my face. I have been told that I have an issue with my cerebellum that impacts my balance and coordination, mostly on the left side. We aren’t sure whether this is congenital or was caused by an injury, but it is not progressive and I am learning to compensate. But, guess what, that doesn't stop me from being the sweetest and happiest boy you'll ever meet! All I want is to find a family that will love me and let me be the playful, affectionate dog that I am. Whether we're going on walks or cuddling on the couch, I promise to be your loyal companion and give you all the love I have. So, if you're looking for a furry friend who will brighten your day and fill your heart with love, please consider making me a part of your family! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
We got Jagger from a breeder in update NY. Jagger is 2 years and 3 mo old. He is easily trainable and is driven by food and positive praise. He loves to be outside playing with tennis balls, jumping in his pool, or just basking in the sun. When left alone at home, Jagger lives laying on couch and hanging out all by himself. He loves his owners and their families. Jagger has separation anxiety and aggression towards people/small dogs. He needs a home with an experienced owner who can handle these needs. He needs someone who will make him feel safe and protected.

Story
Meet Gresham! He's a playful and active 1-year-old Australian Kelpie/Shepherd mix who weighs about 45 lbs. Gresham is a medium-sized boy who is looking for a dog-savvy home with older kids/adults. Gresham is a friendly and social dog who enjoys playing with humans and other dogs. He is still young, so he is a smart and eager learner, and with consistent guidance and ongoing basic training, he will thrive. He's great on leash walks, and loves exploring! Gresham has not yet met any cats, so his behavior around them is unknown. However, he is good with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. He would love to have a furry friend to play with in his new home, or he could also be happy as your one and only. Gresham is an active dog who would do well in a home with a family who enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking or running. He will require daily exercise & play time to keep him happy and healthy!   THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING ONE OF OUR AMAZING RESCUE DOGS - WE CAN’T WAIT TO HELP YOU FIND YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND! The first step in getting started with our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application on our website at www.adopt-a-dog.org. We welcome you to come visit our shelter! Meet & greets will be set up by appointment once your application has been received & processed. If a dog is still listed on Petfinder, we are still accepting applications for them!   *Name: Gresham *Age: 1 year *Current Weight: 45 lbs *Rescued from: Tennessee *Adoption fee: Puppies up to 1 year: $550 Young Adult (1-4 years): $475 Adult (4-7 years): $400 Senior (8+ years): $300 *Health: Up to date on age-appropriate core vaccines so far (adopter will be responsible for remaining vaccinations if applicable), spayed/neutered , microchipped, dewormed *If the dog you are adopting is not yet spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, we require a $150 deposit in addition to the adoption fee (to be refunded upon proof of surgery within 6 months of adoption)   ** Please note that we are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog’s physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is often limited. We encourage you to consider individual personality rather than relying on a label – meeting a dog in person is the best way to make sure it’s love!   FAQs: WHAT IS THE ADOPTION PROCESS?: The first step in adopting an AAD dog is to fill out an application via our website www.adoptadog.org. Once we receive your application, one of our application processors will contact you, and answer any questions you may have. We will also ask for additional information if needed (landlord or veterinarian contact information, or other based on your application). Once an application has been approved, we will schedule a mutually convenient time for a meet & greet! We do not operate on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the dog.   HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO ADOPT?:  You must be age 25 or older to apply to adopt. If you live in a home with other people (ie parents, relatives) the person who will be financially responsible for the care of the dog should be the one to fill out the application.   HOW CAN I MEET THE ADOPTABLE DOGS?: Meet and greets will be scheduled once your adoption application has been fully processed by one of our adoption processors. Please be sure to fill out the application as thoroughly as possible, as we want to make sure we find you the perfect match!   *If you have any additional questions that have not been answered, please e-mail info@adoptadog.org! ##1640861##

Loki loves water and a good game of fetch.  Though active, Loki also enjoys his downtime.  Right next to you cuddling would be his preference, always.  Loki has had a tough go finding the perfect place to call home.  Although he's always shown that he is agreeable with other dogs, in his own home he really wants all the attention - he wants to be his person's one and only.  And unfortunately he does not like cats at all.  In the end, Loki really is just a good boy who needs a breed experienced owner with the ability to be his pack leader, and a home free of the competition of another dog.  He's loving, totally devoted to his people - a beautiful dog with a great personality, just needing the right fit.  As with all new pets, Loki would need time to adjust to his new family and surroundings, but once he feels safe again, he will want to be your best friend for life.   Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.   Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  Please be advised that we will not approve adoptions to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this application.  Incomplete applications will not be processed.
