Story
Meet Texas! Howdy, partner! My name is Texas, and I’m a handsome shepherd mix with a heart as big as the Lone Star State. I’m estimated to be around 5 years old, but since I came in as a stray, my exact birthday is a little mystery. What isn’t a mystery, though, is how smart and eager I am to learn! I can be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, I turn into the sweetest, most loving companion. I bond deeply with my people and love showing them just how loyal and affectionate I can be. I’ve been having an absolute blast in the snow and you’ll often find me happily chasing after tennis balls like it’s my full-time job! Because I’m a working-breed mix, I’m looking for an adopter with experience who understands my need for structure, mental stimulation, and continued training. In return, I promise to be an incredibly rewarding best friend who’s ready to learn, play, and love with his whole heart. If you’re searching for a smart, playful, and devoted companion, Texas just might be your perfect match! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $9.20. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$7.20)Leash and collar included

Story
Hello! My name is Dempsey! If you are looking for an incredibly smart, heartbreakingly handsome, snuggly, cuddly pup, then I am your guy! I am a very sweet boy looking for a forever family. I love meeting new people and making new friends, I truly get along with pretty much everyone I meet. I am very active, energetic, and quite athletic. I love to chase toys, play fetch, and find pesky squeakers to squeak! I love to train and spend a lot of my time learning new skills here. If you have owned a shepherd before, you know that my mind is sharp and ready to work, and I can`t stand to feel bored or lazy. I want to learn new things and you know what? I`m really good at it! When I`m not learning or training, I can usually be found in an office here at the shelter. I am so well-behaved, I am an office fave! I am polite, sweet, and give the best cuddles. I am already housebroken and crate trained, and I am wonderful with the medical team (they say I`m the goodest boy around). I do need to be the only animal in my forever home and I need a family who enjoys working with a smarty-pants like me. If you have have owned a shepherd or similar breed before, you`ll be the best fit for me. I need a special family who can spend time with me, train me, cuddle me, and take me on adventures. Come meet me today! Here`s what the staff have to say about Dempsey, `Dempsey has the best hugs. He will cuddle right in and snuggle you up. He`s fun to train and teach new things and he`s always cracking us up. If I share a little snicky-snacky with him, he`ll eat what`s in the container and then bring me the empty container! He is so affectionate and is always happiest when he has someone to hang out with. He`s just the coolest dude.`If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Story
Rocky is a very loving and loyal dog. He is a great protector. He had issues with little dogs that he doesn’t know. Before we had a fence installed our neighbors little dog came into our yard and Rocky bit him., this happened twice. We had a fence installed . we were getting our driveway redone, our contractors same in our yard to use the water and they left the gate open, Rocky found the gate open and got out and bit the neighbors dog again. He is very smart and he has had formal training. He has a training collar and he likes to take walks and will walk by your side. He hasn’t been around small children or cats. I have a small dog and he gets along with her. He just seems to have an issue with dogs he doesn’t know. I have had him since he was a puppy. Veterinarian is located at Banfield Clinic inside Petsmart Store. Rocky comes with his Harness, bed, training collar and a dog vacuum that helps with his shedding. I will also include Dog food. He is 6yrs old.
