Howdy y'all!  My name is Jett cause I'm fast and can run like the wind.  I hail from the great state of KY and made my way to NJ in the hopes of finding a forever home.  My fostermom calls me a puppy 'cause I'm young (my birthday is 5/24/2022) and totally act like one whatever that means.  My 2 favortie things are food/treats and tennis balls!  You throw it, I bring it back for another round until I tucker out - and that takes some doing.  Inside I have lots of chew toys that I love to keep me busy too.  When I'm happy (which is always), my tail wags along with my whole body and I give air kisses.  I'm a social butterfly having zero hesitation of starting play (or trouble LOL) with anyone willing to partake in 'go-time'.  I am also the queen of the head tilt whenever someone talks to me at length.  I try to understand but nothin happens - I'll keep tryin tho.  My fosterhome has a fenced yard, and that's all I know.  But if there are treats involved or another dog, I'll follow you anywhere!  I'm a country girl at heart though and I think city life would scare the begeezus outta me.  Are you my furever home? Hey y'all!  My name is Lager - nice to meet ya!  I come from the great state of KY, but being in rural NJ is a lot like where I was born on 5/24/2022 - I'm still just a youngster.  I can't even imagine city life & think it would be too scary for me.  My fostermom says I live thru my belly - there's no shame in liking food & treats in my book.  Heck, I'll figure out how to do just about anything for a reward!  I'm told that I'm goofy in a good way (whatever that means), but my fostermom always seems to be laughing at my shenanigans.  The fosterhome I live in has other dogs and a fenced yard and there are tons of toys to chew on 'cause I still like to do that too.  My leash training is limited, but I've been told that there may be treats involved in learning about it so sign me up!  If you talk to me I look & listen with a head tilt, but I gotta be honest I haven't mastered all the words other than my name, go potty, put that down & good boy.  In general, I've been told that I'm the strong, silent type of pup and I'm fairly laid back for my age.  Are you my furever home? Meet Allie! Our vet estimates her to be 8yrs old and she has been spayed. Allie weighs about 50lbs.  We wanted the vet to check her right eye since it presents somewhat smaller than the left eye. The vet agreed that it was most likely trauma from goodness knows how long ago. Upon testing, she does have limited sight in that eye but nothing that really effects her.  She has gone through and recovered from much needed FHO surgery since she had some old trauma to her right rear leg as well as treatment for Lyme.  She absolutely adores attention from people so we think she didn't have much in her past :( She walks fine on a leash and is housetrained. Occasionally you'll see her with a toy but it's not a standard thing for her. The foster she is with is certain that right now, she is the most grateful dog in the house - her sighs of contentment while getting a belly rub for no reason says it all.  While she currently lives with other dogs in fostercare, it took us months for her to accept and trust them. But with slow & steady crate rotations, introductions & limited interactions, she has become part of the pack.  She should not be in a home with cats though is our gut feeling.  Check out our site for an application to make Allie a part of your family and FaceBook for adoption event details. Please keep in mind we are a Rescue Group and most of our pups come to us with little or no background info regarding breed, eventual size, age or prior health issues. We rely on the expertise of our veterinarians and make estimates based on past experience. Also, when you're adopting from a Rescue, you should ask questions! You should always get shot/medication records and the rescue should have had the dog for a bit of time to check for disease. Take the time to educate yourself before adopting. Adam is 1-3 year old mixed breed (guessing part German Shepherd). He is 42 lbs. neutered male that loves to play! Good with other dogs. When we cast tested we were not really sure how he would be with cats in a home. Not aggressive but showed a lot of interest in the cat. He love to be with people. At first he is very scared in a new place but he adjusts well quickly once he knows he is not in danger! Waits patiently in his kennel to come out for a be leash walk! His ears do stand up a bit! Kiwi is a 2yr old spayed female that weighs 37 lbs. Kiwi was a field stray who can be kennel reactive when in a new situation.  Has gotten better over time with the dogs in the area.  She can sit, but need some leash work as can pull when first gets out, then calms down.  Has been good with dogs she has been introduced to, but we recommend slow intros to any new dogs.  She has not been around children since with us, so we have to test her yet with kids.
