Story
Maggie is yet another roof top trooper, rescued in Guadalajara, Mexico. She was there a few months after a good Samaritan got her off of the busy streets where she was running in and out of traffic. One of our rescue partners took her case and completed her health protocol. Maggie is now ready for a home of her own! She is still a pup, with a ton of energy. She is smart and eager to learn! Slowly getting better on leash and potty training, as well as basic commands. She sometimes get car sick in rides, but we think this will get better as she gets older. She is ideal for a young family who likes the outdoors and has time to dedicate to Maggie. She doesn't like being left behind for long hours. Ideally, her family should have someone working from home or at home most of the time. A large fully fenced yard is a must for Maggie. She loves to run and frolick in the grass. Oh and she loves food too!

Story
Otis is approximately 4 years old, and we really do not know what breed(s) he may be...if we had to guess, we might say there is some German Shepherd and Rottweiler in there? Aside from that, though, Otis loves chasing after a ball and is very smart. He knows how to sit, stay, and shake. He is very excited to meet new people. He has spent very little time with other dogs, but has done well meeting a few. Otis spent much of his young life chained up and neglected before being taken in by a kind woman, who is now unable to care for him because of her own declining health. Otis has such a great temperament and will thrive with proper care and a safe and loving home. It is unknown if he has had exposure to kids. He currently has a large backyard to romp in. He has not had a lot of experience on a leash. He is a very loving dog and has much to offer a new family. Story
Rocky was an adopted dog as a puppy of only three months old. He was born on July 15, 2021, now being 3 years old. We are looking for a new home for him since we are a busy family and don't have time to look after him regarding his physical activity and training. He is a good dog very affectionate and loving. He has a structured life. He spends most of his day in the backyard and sleeps in his crate at night thats located in the garage. He has three meals a day in moderate portions. He is not a big fan of kids and is selective with people, but if he likes you he is very loving and protective. If you are a dog lover, have space and time and are seeking to own a German Shepherd, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We love Rocky and did not take this decision lightly, but we feel like this is the best option for his well-being.

Story
Meet Sugar!  This gorgeous and sweet girl was found in the streets of a very busy city with her partner (Cane) and her 9 puppies!!!!! This girl is not only extremely friendly, but an amazing mom.  She loves to cuddle and wants affection. Give her some tummy rubs and she'll be your best friend for life. She has a very well balanced personality and gets along great with other dogs and has learned to be okay with our cat.  She was never aggressive though, she just thought kitties were fun to chase. She is very smart and learns quickly. Her favorite things are toys, walks and spending time outside. She would love a fenced yard with a doggie door where she can come and go all day long if possible. She is housebroken, crate & leash trained.  She is fully vetted and ready to find her furrever home.  Her ideal family would be one with other dogs and children.  She loves to be around humans. A really great fit for any living situation. She is being fostered in Salem, OR and is available for meet and greets.   Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts. Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted those who haven't been adopted are transported up to local foster families until they find a perfect match.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1781575##

Story
Meet Daisha, a remarkable and resilient canine who has overcome unimaginable hardships. At just two years and six months old, this gentle soul weighs around 50 pounds. It's hard to fathom that behind those innocent eyes lies a dog with a heart full of love and impeccable behavior. Daisha's timid and submissive nature is a clear indication of the mistreatment she endured in her past. It took two whole days to capture her, as she had become an expert at crawling into corners and hiding in tight spots. On the day she was found, the weather was dreadful - with pouring rain and a bone-chilling temperature of 34°. Despite her physical discomfort, she limped through busy streets, desperately searching for shelter. It seemed as though she had recently given birth to puppies, but sadly, there were no little ones by her side. Today, Daisha has blossomed into a cuddly companion, finding solace in the warmth of human presence. She adores spending time with babies and little dogs, showcasing her nurturing side. However, her experiences on the streets have made her a bit more assertive around larger dogs. Nevertheless, she is playful and enjoys snuggling up on the couch, often falling into deep slumber due to her low energy levels. Daisha's impeccable leash manners and her adorable habit of greeting you with her paw demonstrate her eagerness to please. She has also mastered a few impressive tricks! For those interested in adopting Daisha, transportation is available every two weeks. And if you're a Canadian adopter, you can even meet her in Bellingham, WA. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue?
