Story
Adopted our pet off the web 2 years ago. He currently lives with another male dog, two cats and a child. Is having behavioral issues with dominance and jealousy issues with our other male dog. Would best be suited as an only pet with all love and attention on him. Is trained to sit, lay and stay. He loves cuddling on the couch and playing fetch. Very loving boy.

Story
Maggie is yet another roof top trooper, rescued in Guadalajara, Mexico. She was there a few months after a good Samaritan got her off of the busy streets where she was running in and out of traffic. One of our rescue partners took her case and completed her health protocol. Maggie is now ready for a home of her own! She is still a pup, with a ton of energy. She is smart and eager to learn! Slowly getting better on leash and potty training, as well as basic commands. She sometimes get car sick in rides, but we think this will get better as she gets older. She is ideal for a young family who likes the outdoors and has time to dedicate to Maggie. She doesn't like being left behind for long hours. Ideally, her family should have someone working from home or at home most of the time. A large fully fenced yard is a must for Maggie. She loves to run and frolick in the grass. Oh and she loves food too!

Story
Don't let Layla's age fool you. This lady loves her toys and her walks equally. In fact, she likes to carry her toys on her walks. You'll rarely see Layla without a toy in her mouth. She loves to romp around the shelter play yard...with toys of course. Layla's foster says that she's very sweet and people-oriented. She does like to follow them around the house. Layla has had good bathroom habits in her foster home and appears potty trained and hasn't shown any destructive tendencies. She has also been good about going in a crate and responds to some commands such as "sit" and "stay". She's a very social dog. Layla is located in a foster home, so please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org to learn more about her and set up an adoption meet & greet!

Remi is a friendly German Shepherd Dog who came to the shelter with two other dogs. In typical shepherd-fashion, she sometimes has a lot to say when she sees other dogs out on walks. Remi loves hanging out with her friend, Rajah. They share tennis balls well and enjoys sniffing and playing. She has been good with all people she's met at the shelter and enjoys getting out in the play yard and on the trail. If you'd like to meet Remi, please visit the shelter from 11am-5pm. I'm a 2 for 1 with my friend Rajah.

Rajah is an outgoing and social guy. He loves hanging out with volunteers and staff and especially loves chasing tennis balls in the play yard. Rajah enjoys meeting new people and wants to be the life of the party. In typical German Shepherd fashion, he has a lot to say and does bark when he sees other dogs. Rajah came to the shelter with two other dogs but we have not had him in play group yet with other dogs at the shelter. If you'd like to meet Rajah, please visit him at the shelter from 11am-5pm. Story
Otis is approximately 4 years old, and we really do not know what breed(s) he may be...if we had to guess, we might say there is some German Shepherd and Rottweiler in there? Aside from that, though, Otis loves chasing after a ball and is very smart. He knows how to sit, stay, and shake. He is very excited to meet new people. He has spent very little time with other dogs, but has done well meeting a few. Otis spent much of his young life chained up and neglected before being taken in by a kind woman, who is now unable to care for him because of her own declining health. Otis has such a great temperament and will thrive with proper care and a safe and loving home. It is unknown if he has had exposure to kids. He currently has a large backyard to romp in. He has not had a lot of experience on a leash. He is a very loving dog and has much to offer a new family.
