Story
*EMPTY THE SHELTERS - now through Oct 15th, my adoption fee is only $50, thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation!*Remi is a friendly German Shepherd Dog who came to the shelter with her friend Rajah. Their foster says they are lovely houseguests. Remi is great at self-entertaining and will toss a tennis ball for herself for hours. She's been good with children and has liked all people she has met. In typical shepherd-fashion, she sometimes has a lot to say when she sees other dogs out on walks. Remi is happiest hanging with Rajah and her foster family in the backyard with some tennis balls or jolly balls. Remi and Rajah can be adopted together as a 2 for 1 special or they can be adopted separately. Please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org if you would like to meet her.

Story
*EMPTY THE SHELTERS - now through Oct 15th, my adoption fee is only $50, thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation!*Rajah is a gorgeous and friendly guy who has been great with all people and has also been good with children. He loves tennis balls and enjoys playing fetch. We can't believe Rajah is still with us as he's such a friendly boy and gets along with all people. He also settles well and enjoys napping with Remi. Rajah has been a great houseguest with his fosters. In typical German Shepherd fashion, he does have a lot to say when he sees other dogs on walks and he'd prefer to stay home in his yard playing ball. Rajah's ideal home would be with a family who has a large, fenced-in yard where he could relax and enjoy play time. Rajah can be adopted with his friend Remi as a 2 for 1 special or he can be adopted separately. Please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org if you would like to meet them.

Story
Fenrir is an amazing companion and is super smart! He loves to chase a ball and run around when it is time to play. When it is time to rest, he is serious about his cuddles! Fenrir is socially motivated and always wants to be around his people. We are heartbroken to need to re-home him. We have consulted with a trainer who agrees it is the best thing for him and can pass her info on to his next home. Fenrir is an anxious guy and likes things to be predictable. He has a tendency to resource guard toys, water, food, and space. He grew up with another dog and did well as long as she respected his space. He does have a bit of a prey drive when he gets anxious, but generally lives in harmony with cats, especially if they have separate spaces. However, I think it would be best if he goes to a home where he is the only animal. He may do okay with a low energy, older dog. A home without young children is also ideal for him. He is a huge cuddle bug, smart, and is the best companion.

Story
Wylie is not just a dog; he’s a testament to resilience and the power of community. At 10 years young, this handsome senior has a heart as big as his beautiful, well-groomed coat—one that requires a bit of daily brushing but rewards you with endless cuddles in return. For years, Wylie lived a life that many would find difficult. Alone on the streets, he faced challenges that would leave most feeling defeated. Yet, thanks to the kindness of local construction workers who made sure he had meals, and the teenagers and children who took time to sit with him, Wylie developed a spirit filled with love and gratitude. Generous souls along his journey even laid out warm beds for him, ensuring he had a safe place to rest each night. Now, Wylie is ready to find a forever home where he can finally experience the love and warmth he deserves. He’s a gentle companion who thrives on human affection and companionship. Whether it’s snuggling up on the couch or enjoying leisurely strolls around the neighborhood, Wylie brings joy wherever he goes. Wylie has a wonderful knack for getting along with everyone—adults, kids, and other dogs alike. His sweet demeanor makes him the perfect addition to any family looking for a loving companion. Plus, his heartworm negative status means he’s ready to start this new chapter of his life without any health concerns holding him back. If you’re looking for a cuddly friend who embodies the spirit of resilience and joy, Wylie is your guy. He’s ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and plenty of wagging tails. Will you be the one to give him the forever home he’s been dreaming of? Discover the love and warmth that only a senior dog can offer. Together, let’s give this beautiful soul the happy ending he truly deserves. Why should you consider adopting a senior dog? Adopting a senior dog is a truly rewarding experience that brings immeasurable joy and companionship. Senior dogs are often overlooked in shelters, yet they come with countless benefits. They tend to be calmer, well-mannered, and already past the hyperactive puppy stage, making them perfect for families or individuals seeking a loyal companion. Many have been trained and have established routines, making the transition into a new home smoother. Plus, senior dogs are incredibly grateful for a second chance, showering their adopters with unconditional love and affection. By adopting a senior dog, you’re not just saving a life; you’re gaining a devoted friend who will fill your days with warmth and joy. Give a senior dog the love they deserve, and experience the profound bond that comes with adopting a loving, wise companion. To add Wiley to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2039507##

Say hello to Junior!  He is incredibly sweet and smart.  This adorable boy can be a little shy at first, but once he opens up you will feel all the love he has to give.  Junior has learned a few tricks and if you have a yummy treat he will be glad to show them to you.  Our adorable boy is also crate traned (not his favorite place as he loves to be part of the action, but will sleep very well in it).  This smart boy is also leash train and does very well in the car.  He will be an incredible fit for any family.    Why adopt from Texas?
