Story
Hi future family, My name is Donggu. 😊 I’m a 4-year-old German Shepherd boy weighing around 32kg. I may look big and strong on the outside, but deep down I’m a gentle, calm soul who truly loves people. 💛 Before I was rescued, I was living in a city shelter and came very close to euthanasia. I went through difficult times, but somehow I never lost my trust in humans. Even now, I still greet people with kindness and an open heart. When I meet someone new, I usually lower my head slightly and greet them very politely — that’s just my way of saying hello. During walks, I sometimes wag my tail and gently approach people passing by because I genuinely enjoy human company. And honestly… if you have a treat, we’ll probably become best friends very quickly. 😊 If unfamiliar visitors come into the house, I may be a little cautious at first, but I warm up pretty fast once I realize everything is okay. I also get along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats. 🐕🐈 Whether I become your one and only dog or join a home with other pets, I adapt very well and enjoy peaceful companionship. My personality is calm and gentle overall, but I also enjoy outdoor activities and walks. I’m not overly high-energy, so I’m the kind of dog who enjoys both adventure and relaxing quietly beside my family. Walks are one of my favorite things in the world. I love sniffing around and exploring new scents. I can pull on the leash a little sometimes because I get excited, but if my person asks me to stop, I listen pretty well. Loud cars, flapping banners, cats, or birds during walks don’t really bother me much — I’m usually more focused on enjoying the moment with my human. I prefer going potty outside and enjoy having a regular routine, usually with morning and evening walks. I don’t struggle with separation anxiety, but if soft toys, cushions, or fluffy items are left around while I’m alone, I might chew on them a little for fun. Other than that, I’m a very quiet and relaxed boy at home and rarely bark. I absolutely love sweet potatoes and chicken, and I’m not picky with food at all. Even taking medicine is easy for me if it’s hidden inside a yummy snack. I’m also very polite at the vet and stay calm during checkups.💛 People say I’m smart and very observant. If you teach me something calmly, I try hard to understand what you want from me. Right now, I’m learning “sit” and doing my best every day. 😊 I’ve experienced many changes and difficult moments in my life, but I still believe in people and still know how to love. Now I’m hoping to find more than just a temporary place to stay. I want a real family — someone to walk beside, rest beside, grow older beside, and share everyday life with. I’m waiting patiently for the family who will fill the rest of my life with love, comfort, and forever memories. 🐾 Love, Donggu

BEST WAY TO INQUIRE ABOUT THIS PUP EMAIL CONTACT@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG *santiago is a male, brown germ shepherd mix 6 years old Meet Santiago Santi is an adorable, spunky mid-aged, mid-sized guy! We don’t know what Santi’s breed mix is, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he had Chihuahua somewhere in there. He is definitely past his puppy years but still has plenty of spark left in him! We weren’t sure what to make of Santi at first— he can be stiff and barky and has very intense eyes— but he proved us wrong and by the end of playgroup, we were all in love with him! Santi comes out of his kennel easily and walks well on leash, except for his tendency to spin a circle randomly as we walk. In the yard, he’s happy to do his own thing and be near the group but not part of the ruckus! He’s a confident guy around other dogs and carries himself as such! Though Santi is happy to keep himself entertained, he also really likes people. He would come check in with us often and would nudge our hands for attention and pets. He also liked to sit on my feet and just hang out, which was super cute! Santi did great in playgroup!! He carries himself very confidently with dogs and seems to command the space he is in. He coexisted great with other dogs and was tolerant, even with annoying young dogs and groups of dogs running into him. However, I do not feel that Santi would do well with a dominant male. He has dominant energy, which another dominant dog may take as a threat, and it will likely lead to conflict. A neutral or submissive friendly dog would be best! ##2802284##

Story
BEST WAY TO INQUIRE, EMAIL CONTACT@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG Dozer is a 4 yr old M/N blk/brn German Shepherd Dozer was great in playgroup! He was very neutral and happy to coexist with the other dogs. His focus was mostly on his handler and on wanting attention from him. He is very sweet and really just wants a person to be close The fact that Dozer loves people so much makes his story even more heartbreaking. Dozer and his non-biological Cane Corso brother Rover (also euth listed, deadline 03/31) were abandoned on a property after their owners moved out of their home. They told the neighbors they were coming back for them but never did. A neighbor fed them for a while but eventually the boys were trapped and brought in.  ##2715742##

Story
1.5 yr old black neutered male shepherd from his foster:  This sweet boy was saved from euthanasia at the Riverside, Ca shelter, and now he's been given a second chance at the life he deserves. He is settling into foster care in a home in Sunriver with two other dogs as we search for his perfect forever home.  Tortilla is decompressing, learning to trust, and starting his journey toward becoming the amazing companion we know he will be.He still has puppy energy so would likely do best in a home with another dog of similar size/age. He is sweet but still nervous so would need someone who would allow him the time and patience to come out of his shell. I would love to find this boy his forever home in the Bend area. He is available for adoption through Bamm Rescue and his adoption fee is $200( the cost of his transport from So Cal to Oregon.) If you have any questions or are interested in setting up a meet and greet please call Tara at 508-685-4293   ##2712718##

BEST WAY TO INQIRE, CONTACT@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG AL is a blk/tan M German Shepherd Al #A603725  Ball is lifeeeee!! Meet Al! He LOVES his ball. He trots around the yard with it. He chews on it. He entertains himself with it. He plays keep away with it! He wouldn’t trade it for the treats I offered him. Mind you, I brought the good stuff! Commanding him to release it didn’t work either. Spoil him with endless balls and you’ll win his heart! Al is a handsome, friendly, and aloof GSD with moderate-to-high energy. In his kennel, he is curious, engaging, and quiet. Easy to leash up and bring in and out of his kennel. Walks nicely on the leash, too. On the other hand, he does not like being leashed in the yard and can be a spaz, jumping around or trying to chew on it. He didn’t react to dogs when passing the kennels, but showed some barrier reactivity in the yard. Al has a great looking coat, which can be deceiving because when I was petting him, I could feel his spine and ribs! Poor guy needs a healthy diet to put on some weight. Dog tests: Al met a male dog face-to-face and immediately nipped him on the muzzle. We created some distance and re-tried intros. It went a bit better, but Al was a bit on edge. When a female was brought in, Al did much better. He had moments where he was vocal and aloof, yet had polite greetings. Strongly recommend slow intros. Shelter notes: High enerygy. Loves to run around the yard and was obsessed with a ball. Tested with both male and female dogs, see memos. Breed: German Shepherd Sex: Male, unaltered Weight: 62 pounds (underweight) Age: 4 years Not tested with cats ##2632355##
