We can’t say for certain what his mix is, but we can say he is an incredibly special dog and a very rare find in rescue. He is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, people friendly, and dog friendly. For a dog who has spent time in boarding, Maze has an impressive foundation and is very eager to learn. As with any German Shepherd, proper introductions with other dogs are important. He absolutely loves playing ball and fetch and is both treat and ball motivated, which makes training with him fun and rewarding. He is smart, attentive, engaged with his person, and genuinely enjoys interacting and working with you. Maze has a wonderful balance of confidence, playfulness, affection, and intelligence. He isn't just a beautiful dog to look at. He's the kind of dog who has the potential to become an incredible companion for someone who enjoys an intelligent, interactive dog. Treats should be given with a flat hand because this big guy doesn't always seem to know exactly where the snack ends and your fingers begin! Because of his size and enthusiasm for treats, no small children. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal so he has room to play ball and enjoy himself. We are also looking for a home where he will truly be part of the family rather than kenneled or crated for several hours every day. Maze is beautiful, social, affectionate, playful, intelligent, and eager to please. His focus was mostly on his handler and on wanting attention from him. He is very sweet and really just wants a person to be close The fact that Dozer loves people so much makes his story even more heartbreaking. Dozer and his non-biological Cane Corso brother Rover  were abandoned on a property after their owners moved out of their home. They told the neighbors they were coming back for them but never did. Shirley is a 2 year old altered female german shepard mix with a black and brown coat. notes from the foster:   Shirley is a very sweet dog who is also very shy and takes a while to warm up to people.  After living with her foster for eight months, Shirley is more relaxed, frequently wagging her tail, and finally confident enough to come in the house to get out of her sunbathing routine.  She walks well on a leash but occasionally startles at noisy cars going buy. While she does notice cats and squirrels, she is easily distracted to continue her walk.  Shirley would love to find another dog to play with. She tries to engage her foster brother GSD, but he is more of a sniffy dog than a good playmate.  I believe Shirley would do well with older children. She will need someone who is very patient and can continue to work with her on her basic commands like “Come” and “Sit”. Patience will be the key to winning her over as it may take time for this traumatized girl to learn to trust and love again.  Shirely has only had an accident in the house when left locked inside for too long. She’s good in the car and at the Vet’s office. Even though she may be afraid or anxious with new people she has never growled, bared her teeth or attempted to bite her foster mother.  ##2499007##

7yr old tan M/N shepherd mix Foster notes: Noble is a sensitive guy and he seems to be more comfortable around women than men for now.  He loves being near his person & follows me all day around the house.  He may resource guard his bed.  He bit my husband the first week we had him when he tried to pet him when he was on his bed.  I have since kept him apart from my husband and he has not shown any signs of aggression for a while and he has even wagged his tail at my husband.  I would still err on the side of caution with new people and men with his bed.  Any iffy situation I have him leashed and muzzled or on the other side of a baby gate.  When people come over or in crowded places I let him wear a comfortable muzzle.  It makes me more comfortable and it keeps him out of trouble.  He has walked in very crowded places in close quarters wearing a muzzle and has not shown any signs of aggression.  I feel that if there is any aggression it could be territorial or fearful aggression because I have only seen him do it at home.  I don’t know how he is around children but I think it would be a safer bet to say no kids.  He is potty trained.  He is good with other dogs with a proper introduction.  I have two pit bulls and a chihuahua and he hangs out with them all day long.  He is obsessed with playing fetch.  He will drop the ball in front of you while you are cooking dinner.  Once he thinks you are his person, you could not find a more loyal and loving campanion.  He has decompressed a lot in the short time he has lived with me and he will  be even better with time in a loving and patient home.  His ideal owner would be someone who is willing to take it slow with him and let him open up on his own terms, someone with a lot of dog experience, who is home a lot, a woman.  Also he came to me with itchy skin and I have been giving him fresh food and it has cleared everything up.  So a dream home would provide that for him too otherwise I think he might have allergies. Also Noble is very athletic.  If someone wants a jogging partner, he would be up for it. ##2632401##

Ball is lifeeeee!! Meet Al! He LOVES his ball. He trots around the yard with it. He chews on it. He entertains himself with it. He plays keep away with it! He wouldn’t trade it for the treats I offered him. Mind you, I brought the good stuff! Commanding him to release it didn’t work either. Spoil him with endless balls and you’ll win his heart! 🎾 Al is a handsome, friendly, and aloof GSD with moderate-to-high energy. In his kennel, he is curious, engaging, and quiet. Easy to leash up and bring in and out of his kennel. Walks nicely on the leash, too. On the other hand, he does not like being leashed in the yard and can be a spaz, jumping around or trying to chew on it. He didn’t react to dogs when passing the kennels, but showed some barrier reactivity in the yard. Al has a great looking coat, which can be deceiving because when I was petting him, I could feel his spine and ribs! Poor guy needs a healthy diet to put on some weight. 🦮 Dog tests: Al met a male dog face-to-face and immediately nipped him on the muzzle. We created some distance and re-tried intros. It went a bit better, but Al was a bit on edge. When a female was brought in, Al did much better. He had moments where he was vocal and aloof, yet had polite greetings. Strongly recommend slow intros.
