This cutie is Rice Krispie Cereal. She is currently 4 months old. We think they may be a German Shepherd mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from us, it saves their life as well as the life of another in its place. Watch Rice Krispie's playful personality here: https://youtu.be/WqW3Kxl6uvw?si=J27d65pd7hMvGmWO Rice Krispie is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with her siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! We pride ourselves in being able to give you good personality and behavioral information to help ensure this baby is the right fit for you. You are also welcome to do a Facetime call to meet your new baby before signing paperwork! Story
If you like your dogs on the big side, with the potential for even bigger? Fluffy on the outside and soft-souled on the inside, River is here for you! River is the kind of dog who makes everyone stop in their tracks, not because he’s loud or chaotic, but because he’s eye-catching, handsome, and oh-so gentle and welcoming for his size. When he was brought to our main rescue office it was all oooohhhs and ahhhhhs, followed by, “Can we approach and touch?”. The team was so excited and proud to say, YES!! He is as loving, soft, and affectionate as he looks! Take a look at his mellowness in motion, then come back to read more: https://youtu.be/bBnetZgN-WE River is estimated to be about a year old, currently weighs 87 lbs, and may be a German Shepherd/Husky mix—maybe even some Anatolian sprinkled in. As with all rescues, age and breed are our best guesses. Sometimes that’s the best part about rescue, finding all the fun breeds your pup has! What we can guarantee is that he is a lot of loving fluff and incredibly affectionate, though never in a pushy way. He leans into you, rests that giant head near your lap, and soaks up love like a pro. You can even hold his paws and let him “dance” with you—standing up, he’ll likely be as tall as you. It’s like slow dancing with a gentle, oversized stuffed animal. Please don’t mistake “big” for “difficult.” River has that magical gentle-giant quality where the look is powerhouse and the personality is marshmallow. He walks well on leash and is very manageable for such a large dog. Being young, he’ll benefit from continued structure, but his calm, observant, unbothered nature makes him an absolute joy. He brings chill vibes all day. Truly the definition of big dog, easy spirit. River currently lives in a loving foster home with multiple dogs out in the country of Texas and does wonderfully! Even his foster says he’s just an easygoing boy—no trouble, no chaos, just peaceful dog energy. We are just now going to quote some of things his fosters have to say about him, they are seasoned fosters and know a great dog when they meet one. River takes treats sooo gently River snuggles on the couch with our big pack of misfit dogs! Great at sharing! River is completely house trained River is the perfect mix of mellow and playful. Except the playful is more prancing with dogs. On the rare occasion he wants to play with the dogs, he does a prancing “dance” to invite! Great car rider and fantastic on the leash Loves the rope toy and playing tug-o-war with other dogs and us. Goes after the ball! River is great around other dogs and he loves being a pack animal. He doesn’t need a home with other dogs but he clearly does well with them! Some of the different dog temperament and personalities of the dogs he is fostered with include the queen bee- senior pittie female- she has no reservations correcting dogs if they get too rowdy. River is such a sweet gentleman, he makes sure to not react or bother her. She loves River because he is very relaxed and finds his spot on the floor or on the couch. You will find the assertive male dog and boy does love River! River is mindful and respectful of him. River has also accepted corrections from him and too if ever warranted! There are some aloof females and males that he will play with. He gets bouts of the zoomies in the back yard and mostly romps around with the dogs. He likes to be that awkward 3rd, 4th, or even 5th wheel! If you watched his video, then you also saw how incredibly gentle and tolerant he is with his favorite buddy! A 7 month old foster puppy named. Lily. He clearly is so unbothered by her climbing all over him, sharing toys, kissing, nibbling, invading his space while he is trying to relax, messing with his tail, or any of the things puppies like to do.His foster mom says they are like two peas in a pod and that it is almost like he has taken it upon himself to assume the "big brother" or "fun uncle" role. Seeing how gentle he is, even with a puppy, is simply who is to his core. A gentle giant. With cats, he was politely aloof—“Huh. A cat. Okay.” He went on an overnight stay with a cat for further testing and did initially bark at the cat. Once the cat hissed at him, he did not mind her the rest of the time. One thing to note is that his cat is not a very active cat. She does not run or play around. Every cat has different personalities. Please inquire to get further cat testing. River’s long legs would like a nice long yard. He doesn’t need constant exercise or intense stimulation, just love, gentle structure, space to stretch out, and a comfy place to nap. He’s gorgeous, calm, sweet, and big—but somehow still tiptoes through life like he doesn’t want to bother anyone. If your heart is set on a truly huggable best friend who brings peace, steadiness, gentle companionship and who would love having a dog buddy at home; River is ready for the role. Story
Believe me when I say, Sarah Bear is one of the most affectionate German shepherd’s I have ever met! She loves everything about physical touch. From getting her belly rubbed, to scratching behind her ears, to rubbing that booty, she loves it all! Sarah is so incredibly tolerant with it all, even with her feet being touched. In her eyes, all affection is good affection. She quite literally will lean her whole body into you for affection and then will flop to the floor and ask for belly rubs. Watch her video and fall in love with her sweet soul: https://youtu.be/DCCuoznd_-g?si=8p7KdjojklLZ0maU Sarah Bear is believed to be a German Shepherd/husky mix approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 52lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Sarah is very dog friendly and has done great with all the dogs we have introduced her to. She is not a super playful gal with other dogs, she is more of a hang back, relax and watch the other dogs having fun. Really her favorite place to be is getting spoiled with belly rubs from her person. It just goes to show that it doesn't take much to make this girl happy. She will play every now and then, join in on a quick game of chase and then she off doing her own thing again. Her best doggy sibling match would be a gentle pal that has the same tempo as her. Cool, calm and collected. One that's not really looking for a playmate and enjoys just hanging out and enjoying the sunshine together. If you don't have other dogs, no worries for Sarah, she would be great as your one and only. She does not need the company of another dog to satisfy her energy needs nor does she need a dog to help her feel comfortable and open up. She is a confident and happy lady all on her own and is an overall relaxed companion that a walk around the neighborhood or play time with a toy will satisfy her energy needs. Really at the end of the day, she just wants a person to spoil her with love. When it comes to kitty friends, she was a little too interested in meeting our house cat biggie and would be best in a home without any cats. Sarah would love to be in a home with a backyard where she can sunbathe anytime she wants, roll in the grass, and explore all the fun smells. She would make a great companion while you garden and relax on the patio enjoying the fresh air. She has great house manners and from what we have seen, she is fully potty trained. She makes herself feel right at home, finding a nice cozy spot to lay down and bonus points if that spot is snuggled up next to you. She knows basic command such as sit, down, and is eager to make her person happy! All she wants is to be loved and to love you. We are willing to test Sarah Bear with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
With her sparkling eyes, soft coat, and those big, expressive ears that perk right up, Clementine is a total heart-stealer. Clementine is the type of dog that will make you laugh with her silly toy-tossing antics, absolutely melt into you the second you sit down, and bring joy to every corner of your home. She is a certified lover girl who lives for affection—belly rubs, cuddles, gentle hugs, and being as close to her people as possible. If you’ve been dreaming of a dog who can be your adventure buddy by day and your snuggly, goofy couch companion by night, Clementine is the girl you’ve been waiting for. Watch Clementine’s personality shine in her video! https://youtu.be/4Be4_M07Gx4?si=Zte3Dgu1CdRISos9 At around 5 years old, this Australian Kelpie / German Shepherd mix (no promises!) has the perfect balance of playful energy and cozy cuddles. Her coat is incredibly unique, with the sweetest markings on her face and body—and of course, my personal favorite, those expressive little eyebrows that somehow manage to communicate her thoughts at all times. One look at her and you just know she’s something special. Clementine’s personality is as warm and sunny as her name suggests. She is confident, affectionate, and wonderfully silly in the most endearing way. She loves to dramatically flop over for belly rubs, wiggle around with happy kicks in the air, and then curl herself right into your lap like that was the plan all along. She adores her humans and thrives on being included in everyday life—whether that’s tossing toys around the yard, heading out for a peaceful walk, or snuggling up on the couch after a long day. Clementine prefers her walks during the quiet morning or evening hours when the world feels calm and serene. She craves zen, peaceful adventures—it’s her sacred time. A gentle hike or a stroll through a nature preserve? Absolute dream life. She’s food-motivated, toy-loving, incredibly smart, and very eager to please, which makes her super trainable too. Clementine is lucky enough to be in a foster home where she has truly shown what an incredible, dog-loving companion she is. She lives with both small and large dogs and absolutely adores them. Clementine is playful, joyful, and so genuinely happy to have canine friends around. She loves romping, chasing, and goofing around with dogs who want to play, but what really makes her special is how kind and respectful she is—if another dog isn’t in the mood, she totally understands and adjusts beautifully. She reads dog body language so well and truly just loves being around other dogs, whether that means playing hard or simply coexisting peacefully nearby. She would be over the moon to have a doggy friend in her forever home and would thrive with a canine sibling to share life, playtime, and companionship with. She also has human foster siblings (ages 12, 9, and 5!) and loves playing in the yard with them. She’s gentle, sweet, and super tolerant of crazy kiddo antics! Around the house, Clementine is extremely well-mannered, house-trained, and crate-trained. She sleeps soundly in her crate at night and will occasionally sneak in some extra snuggles by curling up in bed with her foster family. Clementine does believe kitty cats are meant for chasing (she’s wrong, but confident), so a feline-free home is best for her. When it comes to meeting other dogs, Clementine is a total social butterfly. She greets canine friends with confidence and excitement and has lovely manners when sharing treats and food, patiently waiting her turn. On leash, she can get excited when she spots another dog, but it’s purely from her enthusiasm to say hello. She heels nicely and responds very well to leash guidance, and with consistency, she’ll continue blossoming into a beautifully polite walking companion. Clementine’s ideal home would be one where she has space to stretch her legs—preferably with a yard she can finally call her own (she’s been dreaming of one for so long). She would love playtime, peaceful outings, and soaking up every ounce of affection her humans are willing to give. She’d be perfectly happy as your one-and-only, soaking up all the love, but she would also thrive with a doggy sibling to play with. More than anything, Clementine just wants to be included—whether that’s serene adventures, a game of fetch, or curling up together for movie night. Clementine is truly special because she so effortlessly balances being playful and calm, goofy and gentle, silly and deeply loving. She’ll brighten your mornings with happy hops, make you laugh during the day with her goofy charm, and melt into you at night to remind you just how loved you are. Her foster family says it best: “Whoever ends up with her is going to get a great dog. She will love them so much.” Clementine is ready to share her love, loyalty, belly rub requests, and endless affection with her forever family.
