Story
Meet Violet, a gentle soul who is looking for a patient heart to bloom with! At a year and a half old, this velvety Shepherd mix is the definition of a sweetheart, though she's a sensitive girl who finds the big, wide world a little intimidating at first. While new environments might make her nervous, once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines through and she becomes the most loyal companion you could ask for. Violet would thrive in a calm home where she can take life at her own pace and trade her worries for belly rubs and cozy naps. 🌸🐕💜 Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 61.6 Age: 1yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Gypsy Moon Gypsy Moon is a nearly 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a gentle heart and a playful, goofy personality. At around 50 pounds, she’s a wonderful girl who’s ready to bring love and laughter into her forever home. Gypsy can be a little timid when first meeting new people, but with a bit of patience and kindness, she quickly warms up and shows her sweet, silly side. Once she feels safe, she absolutely shines—she loves attention and enjoys being her goofy, happy self. She gets along great with other dogs and truly enjoys having canine friends to play with. Gypsy also loves spending time outdoors and especially looks forward to her walks—she does very well on a leash and is a joy to take out and about. Gypsy Moon is currently heartworm positive, but she is undergoing treatment and making great progress. She’ll be tested again soon, and we are hopeful for a negative result. Gypsy is looking for a patient and caring family who will give her the time she needs to settle in and the love she deserves. In return, she’ll give you endless loyalty, companionship, and plenty of smiles. Could Gypsy Moon be your perfect match? 💕 Interested in becoming a forever home for Gyspy? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet Vanna. Vanna is an approximately 4-year-old, spayed and vaccinated German Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She’s playful, affectionate, and very much a “velcro dog” who loves being close to her people. Once she bonds with you, she’s happiest by your side, whether you’re relaxing at home or heading out for an adventure. Vanna has medium energy levels and would thrive in an active home. She loves playing fetch and going for walks, and she’s great in the car, making her a fun companion for outings. At home, she’s been trusted to free roam and isn’t destructive at all she just wants to be near her favorite humans. When it comes to other animals, Vanna is best suited as the only dog in the home. She can be playful with very well-matched dogs (generally larger dogs around 90 lbs or more) as long as there are no resources to guard or compete over, and she’s good at picking up cues when another dog is done playing. She’s not a fan of smaller dogs and can sometimes be reactive on leash depending on how other dogs behave toward her, so continued leash work and training will be important. The good news? She does great with dog-savvy cats! Vanna is reserved with strangers at first but remains friendly and warms up with time. She hasn’t been around kids yet, but she may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space and boundaries. She currently doesn't have stairs where she lives, but will likely have no issues with them and settles nicely into a home routine. Like many dogs who’ve been through a lot, Vanna is still working through some challenges. She has experienced significant trauma and is actively working on negative behaviors around other dogs. She has some resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people, will need continued support with leash manners, and is still polishing up her potty training with the occasional accident. Vanna is also crate trained. With patience, consistency, and understanding, she has so much potential to continue growing. Vanna is a loyal, loving companion who just needs the right home…one that can give her structure, reassurance, and plenty of affection. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will stick by your side through it all, Vanna may be your perfect match! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Meet Charles – Your Loyal, Cuddly Companion 🐾 Say hello to Charles, a 7-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a soul that’s loyal and affectionate. This sweet boy is looking for a quiet, stable home where he can be someone’s whole world — and promises to return that love tenfold.  Charles is the ultimate cuddle buddy. He loves nothing more than lounging by your side, enjoying a toy, and soaking up the company of his favorite human. His gentle, mellow nature makes him the perfect companion for someone who appreciates the quiet joy of a calm and loving dog. While Charles is a big softie at heart, he does have some preferences. He can be reactive to other dogs and small children, so he’s looking for a home where he can be the "only child" — ideally with a single person or a couple. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend to share your life with, someone to greet you at the door, curl up at your feet, and bring comfort and companionship then Charles just might be your perfect match. Charles is ready to meet his forever person. Could it be you? Please call Hannah Pet Hospital at 503-905-5200 and request to speak with our Placement Coordinator, Maggie, to learn more!
